Looking for a 'deathwatch" build

In this video the character fighting darth maul, looking for a build similar and inspired by it, with the kind of feel the character in the video has. It doesn't need the bladed weapon (although one attack could be) as much and I'm not sure how to imitate the flamethrower.

Just curious what kind of build people might put together, if anyone is interested in helping me out.

I am thinking get the Laser Sword, Pistols, Martial arts, and if you have trouble staying alive then regeneration.

He uses alot of explosives too, I'm just trying to figure out how or which are good. There's a few blades he shoots out. Would be nice to get the flamethrower in but I don't know...

I'd say take Two Gun Mojo and maybe Bullet Beatdown for the guns. Frag Grenade, since it seems that's what he's tossing. And I would go with either a couple of the laser sword powers OR single blade martial artist powers (use one of the glowy tech swords if you want the lightsaber look). Invulnerability to act as your "armor". Perhaps a Dex as your primary stat with Con and your favorite energy management stat as secondaries. Form of the Tempest if you do go with a Dex primary for sure (and in that case, I lean more toward the martial art powers instead of lasersword powers and grab Dragon's Bite as one of the powers). Throwing Blades if you want to mimic the saw blades he shot. Not sure about how to mimic the flame thrower.

EDIT: And that was definitely an awesome fight, perhaps one of the most epic fights in Clone Wars so far.

EDIT-EDIT: I think I've picked up Flamethrower devices in one of the Adventure Packs or Comic Series. I forget which. Maybe stock up on those?

Hey sorry I didn't see this sooner. What was the flamethrower device called? If it's the one with charges I can't use that. I need to use the fire power often or at least each group i fight. Too bad heatwave doesn't really have the visual because if I remember correctly it came out of one arm(hand) with a armor piece there it might have looked good. Kind of weird they don't have a flamethrower in gadgets.

I'm still trying to figure out this guys whole build. confused on specifics still but the powers you mentioned seem right.

Yeah, it's got charges. It looks like they are dropped in Whiteout, at least when I ran through it earlier this week.

As for the effect, I'd say Firebreath would be appropriate. But obviously we don't want you breathing fire, just using a flamethrower... Hmmm....

I was trying things out on the PTS, seeing what could fit together nicely. I'm thinking something like the below. I'm using Holdout Shot w/ Stim Pack instead of BCR w/RR. It works decently on another Muni toon I have, and the healing from Stim Pack can actually crit. Feel free to swap in BCR if you would rather have that.

I think it's got most of what you'd expect to see in a Deathwatch style toon. Pistols (Two-gun Mojo and Holdout Shot), "Energy sword" (Reaper's Caress and Dragon's Bite), Flamethrower (Heatwave... it looked the most appropriate), Grenades (Frag Grenade), and shooting blades (Throwing Blades).

Feel free to play around with it. It's not necessarily in a leveling order, and I'm sure you might prefer different talents, advantages, specializations, or powers on some choices.

Hey thanks for taking the time to work that build out. I'm going to try it soon. I forgot to check this, I've been trying to respec my ranged ego character into something as good as it was but having problems, after countless variations.

I'll give this one a try though, it looks right to me.

About the one thing I'd nitpick myself on is that maybe there's one too many attacks. And yet, I wish I could squeeze in the Tanglecoil Launcher power, which he uses also in the video...
