best possible adventure pack drops?

Just wondering if there was a chance of getting secondary upgrades with bonus stats that are better than current non-adventure pack equipment? And which bosses would I want to tackle. I recall the first and second boss of Serpent Lantern dropping some nice secondaries with bonuses.

Any guesses? I used to solo SL on elite pre-Alert/FFA.

The 'adventure packs drop best loot on Elite' was something that was removed with On Alert and the new itemization system.

So the best secondaries are just purple drops which can drop off of any mob in the game anywhere.

Unity is the easiest way to get these secondaries. And you don't need to be on Elite to do it. There is no extra reward for playing Elite in this game anymore. Unless you want a rare device like Dark Speed or the like serpent hood in Aftershock to drop.

*sigh* It was a fun diversion. I like random loot bonuses compared the monotony of the same loot over and over. I prided myself in recognizing bonus stats over some of the regular stats on items. Being able to find relative bargains on the marketplace made for a nice secondary game.

The good thing is, you no longer need 10+ Chars with 5 bank slots, just to store all the
crap you got from Freon runs and where you think you could maybe use it later on another char

It was however hard to sell all that stuff to an NPC a while after On Alert was out :frown:

Why was it hard to sell to an NPC when On Alert came out? Costume Quartermaster and Toy Master has stood next to the Powerhouse for years.

Hard because i farmed endless hours for all that stuff, and now it was only worth the NPC price.

This is true. Two good things I found: a lot of really old items don't have level restrictions. So they could be given/sold to new players who dont have heirloom gear.

The other thing: the old gear had good resale value to vendors, unlike worthless mission upgrades.
