Return ALL mission and lootable Action Figures

Was there a reason why these action figures were removed from the rewards of say There and Bat Again when it wasn't removed from missions like Elli-mony? Was there a reason why ANY of the action figures were removed as rewards from any mob like Qwijibo when you can still get Clarence? Who was responsible for deciding to removed these rewards that don't conflict with the new items introduced with On Alert?

I know its a year after the fact, but this has always bothered me and continues to still bother me.

There and Bat Again sometimes has an AF reward and sometimes not. It is at least part of Unity 2, so you can get multiple chances at getting one.

I had no idea about There and Bat Again since the wiki says these items are no longer rewarded. Originally the drop was available even the first time you got to it. Didn't know it was repeatable as part of Unity 2 since no matter how many characters I do the requirements for it, I can never get access.

I did all the missions twice in the past month (some more than twice to verify mission progression accuracy), and I can firmly say that both times I ran There and Bat Again, I never got an action figure. I didn't do Unity 2 missions so I suppose they could drop there.

As for the other missions that give AFs, I can't recall if they do or not anymore. Most of the missions were only reformated, with me just adding/removing mission rewards as needed. My file with mission rewards says Elli-Mony actually still gives the AF, but most others don't say anything one way or another. I suppose I'll have to take another character through those missions to double check them.

Give me some time, and I'll get back to you on that.

Edit: Well, that was faster than I expected. Found more of my notes, and it seems all the Mission Reward Action Figures except Jumbo from Ellimony are gone. And I really wish they'd put them back in. I still needed most of There and Bat Again's. But still, I suppose I can try to run Unity 2 to see if I get them.

I finally made the push to get Unity 2 access. The biggest issue was originally getting There and Bat Again from the Sapphire chain, but that has been fixed and I finally got access to Unity 2.

There and Bat Again the first time granted only those new items. I did Unity 2 for kicks and got lucky to get There and Bat Again mission! I didn't get anything at all though. Foxbat is highlighted, but ONLY on the map, as a question mark to return but he doesn't have the interaction option. Is it possible that the new mission reward change may have overwritten or prevents the action figure drop?

I put a bug report next to Foxbat right after completing Unity There and Bat Again if this will help in any way. ID #1,471,141

You'll never get them all unfurtunately, Cryptic screwed up the whole thing when they made the Original Grond ONLY accessable to those who pre-ordered before launch from a specific website (i forget which it was...pretty sure it was USA only)

A whole "Collect em all" would have been a wonderful PvE direction for people to repeat content and the like...but no they rly ####ed it up big time on this one before the game even started.

You can supposedly still get it if you can find a Best Buy copy for those preorder rewards.

By the way...

I finished and the mission said talk to Whisper. After leaving Juryrig's the tasks showed "Unity Special Assignment" in white like a task and now I can't talk to Whisper. Seems broke after all. ID # 1,471,163

I'm loathing the loss of these action figures all the more.

The bug you described has sadly been around for way too long.
It can happen during the non-Unity 'There and Bat again' as well, but that is simply fixed by exiting and re-entering the garage. If it happens during the Unity 2 missions then your only option is to drop it and start all over again. This is precisely the reason why I no longer bother with Unity 2.

Also don't forget the Sapphire AF. It was only obtainable as part of a referral program in the past.

I would love to collect all action figures, but I highly doubt they will ever give us the opportunity again to do so.

At least you can still get the Grond, there are quite a few that will likely never be available again...

Sapphire has been mentioned...

The Retro Destroyer AF was only available by getting a code at a convention (can't remember which one). That was done at launch, so most folks were immediately unable to get a full AF set...

Don't forget the five or six Dev AFs that were only given out for being on the PTS on specific dates. Most, if not all, of those Devs are now gone from CO. I got them all but Raven's...

Tumberboy handed out his AF on Christmas Eve in 2011. Right afterwords he was transferred to STO. I missed that one, dimmit. He told me he had his Dev rights on the CO server stripped and now can't hand out his AF even if he wanted to...

Robobo gave out his AF to the winner of the Iron Age costume contest (which was me. Yay!). I don't know if he ever gave one to anyone else, I may have the only one. He's now gone too...

I'm willing to guess that no one has or will ever obtain a full AF set...

I'm still unable to get the There And Bat Again mission to 1 of my character so i could obtain UNITY 2. I had forgotten the whole UNITY 2 until recently went thru whole mission roster to check what i was missing. I had done all, (this was back like in 2009...) but the Bat Again, i guess it was bugged then.
Now i'm currently doing the mission chain on an alt. See what happens...
And i got no Foxbat for the There And Bat Again....

And the AF's... I'm still missing the Grond, i got the code from a friend, but something was..not working, so no Grond. I got the Retro Destroyer from, Foxbat. That was from the 1st Halloween and it was from the Costume Competition which Real Live Foxbat was judging. Don't remember who played him, maybe it was Roper, but anyway, i got the AF from him.:biggrin:

Don't forget about the Acclaim PvP AFs too. Those can easily be returned as a separate vendor, but any addition to PvP is hopeless.

Never could get a hold of Roxstar for his not to mention I never got my Iron Swan despite participating in the PTS event.

Skeleton Boy...I don't think I'll ever bother unless we somehow get a way to get "action figures that time forgot" that aren't R&D ones.

But the major point is ones that should still be in game are not at all. On Alert rewards game wide were not tested before they went live.

I got my G Crush along with Tumor's.

Regardless, there should be a way in the future to rerelease old AFs that doesn't require money. Just one of the many things to keep players in the game.

Robobo and I teamed up for a Sky Command run when it hit Live. I asked for his AF but he had none to give. So you may be right.

I too wish There and Bat Again rewarded AFs again, I am only missing Shinobi from that mission. :mad:

I guess this thread can be expanded to include Therakiel's Sword to the things no longer in game but shouldn't have been removed.

Also I did the Unity 2 run again and still no drop. Because you can't interact with Foxbat after completing it you can't finish Unity 2. ID # 1,476,060

However, I talked to a player who did the run today and it worked just fine and got their random action figure. BUT they had Unity 2 on that character before On Alert. Is it possible that the replacement rewards overwrote the action figure rewards which messed up the Unity 2 version? I'd like some answers on this from anyone!

EDIT: Did another run today with a different toon I just got into Unity 2. He managed just fine and got the reward at the end. But it was just 10 Silver rec and no random action figure. Isn't a random AF supposed to be guaranteed? ID #1,476,842

I've been running Unity 2 alot recently for the silver recognition. There is a bug at the end of "There and Bat Again" where you won't be able to talk to foxbat to complete the mission in the end. However, I found what causes it. If you complete all of the waves and there are still time traveler's Foxbat has brought back to help you alive you will be unable to interact with foxbat. You can leave the instance let it reset and come back in and retry it though. Make sure that before the end of the final wave all the time travelers are dead before you kill the final enemy. You should now be able to turn in the mission. As far as the Action figure reward I havent kept track of whether it has been rewarded "every" time. But I know I have received alot, I just dont pay attention because I have all of the ones from that mission. Hope this helps.

So that's at least a bit resolved for the most part. Another issue of things not despawning and conflicting with events. *cough*Bullet Bound*cough*

Now what about Red Dawn or worse yet, Cursed Dragon?

I forgot to mention all the Lucha action figures. How are we supposed to get those now after getting the required perks? There's no vendor. (Yes I do PvP in secret.)

And do the Until Spooks still drop? In all my runs never encountered once even before On Alert.

There is no way that anyone will have all of the action figures, ever. The only person I know who had the complete series 1 finished was Dardove and I am sure he's been gone long enough that he wouldn't have all the stuff that has come after it.

In any event, there are a number of special ones that are going to be made available again. All of these were one offs that if you weren't here for, you aren't going to get. And honestly, I don't think the should be made available.

I don't mind ever getting those action figures (the ones I was never around for). I just want the ones that should still be in the game to return. But it wouldn't hurt for any of those to make a come back. Maybe when the game picks up as a priority for Cryptic.
