So I got a Grav bike today. Bought a couple keys, randomly opened a couple boxes, and out drops the Hawk Grav Bike.
Sweet, right?
Till I look at it, and it has no weapons. It came with some decoy things, and a tractor beam repulsor kind of thing (STO players will understand that) but no guns, lasers or missles.
What the heck Cryptic? How do you engage in combat, with no weapons? Am I just to push the bad guys all over the map all day long, and hope they turn their guns on themselves in frustration?
Oh, and so after discovering this, I wander over to the AH to see what weapons are posted up. GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN!!!! The cheapest weapon I could find was 60G!!!!
It took pretty much every dime I had on every character, to out fit the Grav Bike with weapons.
Perhaps, you guys need to look at the drop rates on Weapon MODs? Or, maybe sell some in the C-Store.
Though I would much rather the vehicle that came out of the box, which I paid real world money to open, have at bare minimum a single offensive weapon. Afterall, the C-Store vehicles do!

100% agreement here thats exactly how I felt when I got my first one.

You should consider yourself lucky. I opened over 40 boxes and got a total of zero bikes.
Wow you should be awarded one just for buying 40 keys :P
Yeah, ditto on that.
I count myself lucky that the times I've had interest in a lockbox item (be it STO or Champions) I got the item within a 10 key span of box openings.
The only exception being my Temporal Science Ship in STO, which I bought outright from the Auction House. I figured if I went after it with keys, I wouldn't get it or it would cost me a fortune.

If people are giving a company money for literally nothing, they should at least get content in return or at least some bug fixes beyond the 1 every 6 months.

Hence, one of the reasons I never agree with the "how much money do you think this game makes?" counter-arguments against this game's lack of development people often bring up. If they're getting money for next to nothing instead of allowing us to buy recent stuff directly for a fair price, then they must be making more money than people pretend the game does.

Fly over to a spawn-heavy area and maintain the gravity pulse. The weapon has a radius of 'Yes', clears out any mooks it catches, and the last pulse sends everything leftover flying. Its almost as beautiful as Heavy Cannon. Fortunately I had an AA missile lying around to help cleanup on any left over villains.
Now if it just wasn't a pain to use the Hawk in City Center's back alleys...

Does that one have the Gravity Pulse? I know the Widow does... and yes it's dope.
I didn't want any of the bikes that drop from the boxes though, I was after the 8 slot Widow, which I got. Any other bikes would have been auctioned.
Thats what i decided to do, but opened tako caches for the salvage as im still after legion gear as well.
Unfortunately despite the claims way back that the drop rate on legions hadnt changed after the tako caches stopped dropping, 120 tako chests in (post drop removal) and still not 1 piece of legion gear (previously was 4-6 per 100 allowing for the chance of a 3 pieces drop)
Not that i have anything else to do with my G except buy keys (and havent and wont spend zen on them)
I waited for the bikes to drop in price and bought one straight away for 1400g. Better spent than on keys. I'm keeping those for a GOOD lockbox to come out that gives Tako boxes a run for their money.
You and me both, but I'm not to bent over it. Not like I had another need for the Q.
With my epic luck, I wasn't expecting one. Out of all the grab bags I've ever bought (and it's been over $100 worth) the one time I've gotten one of the "rare" items was a Freeform slot.

You give love a bad game.
Looks like they're working as intended.
