when are the new adventure packs and comics coming out?

so when is it coming out
i've been talking about it with my friend death and i can't wait he loves them so when are they coming out i think they said this week but i don't rememeber

    To our knowledge, there are no new APs or comics coming out.

    What's happening this week is the next mission in the Lemurian Mega Event that you see mentioned on the updater when you log in.

    We havent had a new adventure pack or comic series, or any permenent story content since whiteout in november 2011 (just after pw took over), and i doubt well ever see anything beyond alert style sub 5 min missions again.

    As much as i would like a new Comic Series, The Champions Team just doesn't has the recources or time right now to make one, sadly, maybe after NW releases and we get some devs back.

    Sadly no. You see according to Cryptic employee and STO executive producer Daniel Stahl;
    "One of the strengths of our studios is that employees can quickly and easily move between projects due to the similarities in our proprietary editing engine. That said, the teams headcounts are established for most of the fiscal year, so even if some employees went onto another project, we would immediately replace them with someone else."

    Yet we've been told many times here on these forums (the last time by Tumorboy before he departed for STO) that the Cryptic teams are entirely seperate and dev's are not shuttled about willy-nilly.
    This idea that Champions-Online is the 'red-headed stepchild' of Cryptic-Studios and any favoritism toward STO is an entirely player-created myth...

    Right guys?, so the door should swing both ways - correct?.

    I've been talking about them with my friend who goes by the name of Death, and I can't wait for more. He loves them. So, when are more coming out? I think someone said one would come out this week, but I don't remember.

    Comics have proven unsuccessful thanks to Whiteout's reception. So unsuccessful that they cut Whiteout's budget before it was even entirely finished. But that proves you can't predict success until after it comes out, unless you intentionally doomed it to fail.

    If they release Foundry sometime this year we may get "comics" again. About a few every week.

    Whiteout was really good. It just didn't get the same polish that Aftershock got when it went from separate issues to the complete version.

    They recently (like a day or two ago) asked about our favorite Adventure Packs and Comic Series on the Facebook CO page. I posted "We like them. MAKE SOME MORE!" in hopes that they were sending out feelers, but I doubt it. Probably just "we're running out of questions".

    Use a Nuclear Toaster, travel 2-3 year back in the past, and THEN you can ask that question again :biggrin:

    The mobile microwave is better for the environment for time traveling questions.

    Perhaps with the influx of CoH players they are reconsidering their stance on what are essentially Task Forces to the former residents of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles and the doubly refugee Praetorians.
