How to get SG bases onto the CO Dev's radar.

Since it's been made rather clear that any content the Devs can't squeeze money out of us for, we will not get.

So how do we do that?

Z-Store sales, SG Recognition and Lockboxes

The Basics-

When an SG is created it gets a very small 'base' -

The would consist of The Entryway and The Ready Room

Each of these is about the size of the Basement hideout.

Rooms and features cost Backing and SG Regonition


Backing -

Backing is bought in the Z-Store. It represents the contribution the PLAYER brings to the Supergroup. Players might inherently contribute a small amount of Backing on their own but extra must be bought in the Z-store.

Many rooms, options or features should require a certain level of Backing for some items to show up on the 'menu'.

Basically this feature allows players to invest in their supergroups, and have value to their supergroup. Backing travels with the Player and would only contribute only once per player. If a player joins, they add their Backing if they leave, their Backing goes with them.

As Backing allows the SG to acess features;

SG Regonition is what SG's spend to get things.

How do you get SG Regonition[/size]?

Why SG Regonition[/size] only drops in Lairs, and only if you are in a SG and it accumulates to the SG not the characters.

What do they buy?

New rooms, features and trinkets. The possible rooms are legion!!

Finally.. Lockboxes;

Lockboxes should be use to drop unique rooms and trophies.

Examples..

The Brain Vat room only drops off of Teleios in his tower..

The Manimal Cave only drops off of Dr. Moreau in his lab..

The key thing might be this, the SG gets the room on the menu, the players who pick up the box get some sort of costume unlock or device related. [that way both the Sg and the player who spent the Z to get the box open get something]

You get the idea. Drop rates from the boxes and what all else might be in the boxes, well who knows right?

Essentially the monetized part of the SG menu goes like this...

Backing needed SG Regonition cost

500 -
- 14000 - Meeting Room
600 -
- 12000 - Security Station
700 -
- 80000- Danger Room


Here we are now going to the West Side
Weapons in hand as we go for a ride
Some may come and some may stay
Watching out for a sunny day
Where there's love and darkness and my sidearm

    Sounds kinda like Fleet Bases in STO. However, I would prefer Foundry-style customization.

    Useless crap that costs money... now taking bets on how many weeks before it's implemented.


    and subsequently used as an excuse for why everything else had to be pushed back.

    So.... basically how CoH implemented SG bases but with the added need for players to spend money towards the max "level" that base can support and for opening lockboxes?

    If no restrictions are put onto which SG an account can contribute their backing towards then I foresee a lot of inter-SG trading of alts. As for lockboxes, same stupid **** most likely where we can build a town out of the lockboxes them self after a month of playing.

    Unless there are some major benefits like extra SG bank spaces, crafting stations (are they really needed anymore), socrates terminal, mail terminal and such I doubt many would even look at it.
