Flying Saucers and Secondary Protocol (Whiteout II)

Vehicles, Vehicles, Vehicles, they fill the sky over Millennium City these days.
But where are the flying saucers? Hidden away in garages and caves, but they're not flying. Why?

There are a large number of alien superheroes running around these days that would really like to see them, as well as members of project stargazer and those with moonbase hideouts.

Specifically, what I'd like to see is a vehicle that's comparable to the existing ones, all with 7 slots and with a base attack, defense and speed of 3.5. The 3 variants should have slots of 3/2/2, 2/3/2 and 2/2/3. Each should all have a bubble showing the character in the cockpit.

Scout ship (sleek, gadroon styling): (2/2/3 slots) comes with holographic field and decoy drones

Invader (flying hamburger, qullar styling): (2/3/2 slots) Comes with attack drones and an energy wave PbAoE

Mothership (large, cyberlord styling): (3/2/2 slots) can deploy mines as per the villain in the nighthawk prototype mission.
+++

To introduce these new vehicles, let?s have a multipart scenario similar to the buildup that?s being used with the bikes: Whiteout 2, Secondary Protocol.

Part 1: Disguised gadroon are all over millennium city. Grind them for token q, and the attack plans. Finding the attack plans opens part 2.

Part 2: (ala the sky defense mission) the stargazer asteroid field space station is under attack.

Part 3: Defend the moonbase!

Part 4: Secondary Protocol?a huge alien base has been set up in Antarctica, Destroy it!
[Part 4 should stick around after the event as a new Adventure pack unlockable by completing whiteout.]

I'm surprised they haven't made a Gadroon and Qularr vehicle yet. I'm also surprised that they haven't taken advantage of the "real' jet models we have in game, not to mention a hover bike that is more compact - like the Viper hoverbike that's in-game...

Those Viper cycles do look cool, but have you ever seen anyone riding them? I'm pretty sure they're just scenery.

+1 for flying saucer vehicles / missions.

With the foundry tools for STO you get the option of taking something and giving it the look of something else, for example take a viper soldier and give him a ripper look. I'm sure with the actual dev tools they could do the same thing with an existing Bike and just reskin it like they do with a lot of the travel powers.

I personally like the idea of UFO's as vehicles though i'm opposed to how vehicles are being done in game. To be honest they've released all the vehicles they've mentioned already so the next question is will they be adding more, Just adding in some reskins, or abandoning vehicles all together like they do with every thing else? What do you think is next for vehicles?

We totally need some retro-scifi vehicles for all the retro-scifi heroes.

I already invested my mods into what vehicle I have. Having to buy a new vehicle would be a waste of money and time. Unless buying more vehicles would unlock the option to change the look of what I have. Yes I'm trolling.

It's really too bad they didn't make it so you buy the number of slots you want, and get to select from a few skins to go with it - much like how I can buy command animals, and change them from wolves, to bears, to raptors on the fly.

I would totally want an excavated Nazi flying saucer for one of my characters, but that's NEVER going to happen.

Gadroon ships would work well. And the Champions can fit a small one (A fighter, perhaps, like the Gadroonish equivalent of an X Wing?) as a door-blocky thing* in their HQ, so you know it's not TOO big for a vehicle model.

*Because if you have alien technology, you're going to put it in the room before your meeting room, especially if it floats under its own power, thus suggesting it's still active and could possibly be remote controlled by invaders one day, and oh did I mention that you're using it as a doorstop what this is alien technology have some decorum, Champions! XD

Gadroon, Qular, Viper... there's a host of things already made in the game which would save them half the effort of making new vehicles.
