it had so much potentual and came so close only to marred by some major flaws. One that the minions just sid there and bow until approuched and then only those immediately around attack. I would have had them individually weaker and all attack or just blody run when things got tough. I find the same disatance they notice you very immersion breaking.
Two the dragon himself should definately be at the very least knockback resistant. He was kind of diappointing. Hi pan was at least fun to fight.
They're bowing to the Dragon, only turning to fight when you're in aggro range, and not running away because they're being controlled by the Dragon. It's also the main reason none of the Cobra Lords are moving to avenge Frank Zaretti, even though he's lying right there on the floor in front of them.
And if both bosses fought properly, it would be very discouraging - it's only a lvl 14 mission, after all.

I kind of rationalize they're under a spell myself , so yep I get it. It alos makes perfect sense Hi Pan would think his death dragon would finish me off so not interfere.. The knockback thing is kind of strange though. Foxbat has more knockback resistance than this enormous creature.
That being said I still really enjoy the whole arc.

And one that you will re-visit at certain points due to Nemesis quests.
Superhero stories, done well, are about modern archetypes.
A Prootwaddle is one of the weirder player-character races in "The Fantasy Trip", Steve Jackson's first published role-playing game.
My son when he plays often makes up lines for the npcs to make things make more sense. he had Hi Pan say " Curses ! if I knew that blasted hero would be here, I would not have had the dragon waste so much of his power on those fools!"
Anyway I thought it was a pretty nice starting arc .
And kudos for the Fantasy Trip reference. I've got a copy not 5 feet from me right now.
Awesome sig, ain't it?
I've got two copies of everything produced for Fantasy Trip. One for playing and one for collecting (I collect rpgs). I still pull out a random MicroQuest and run through it occationally...
