So one day I was zipping around the internet and bumped into a picture of Captain Planet. I thought "hey, it'd be cool to try to make a tank build using most/all of the elements in this game". So here is what I slapped together so far. It is NOT tested at all. I'm looking for any advice on the build before I decide to start this character out.

I prefer REC over END in general, and I rarely rank up Defiance (since you can GET to the same level of defense, given time)... but looks pretty solid to me.

I would take Overdrive from PA over Thermal Reverb. Lightning Arc and Hurricane are both Maintains so Overdrive would be useful. Overdrive can scale off of End, but add some Rec too.
You have a good combination of single-target and aoe attacks.
Circle of Primal Dominion might be a good final power, it's great for tanks.
Adding Crippling Challenge to Lightning Arc would help you keep Threat.

I would drop EGO for REC or INT. You're not a Ranged Knock focused build (and imo Knocks are incredibly annoying). INT scales Concentration the same as EGO would.

Definitely take Crippling Challenge on your single target attack (Lightning Arc). The Taunt component has a 10 second cooldown, however, the bonus threat is still added to every strike.

Remember that Electric Damage is Energy Damage, not Elemental... and Earth and Wind damage is mostly Crushing (Physical) Damage. Fire Snake isn't going to be too useful in this build. It'll affect half the damage of Hurricane, the small DoT from Fissure, and Flashfire. IMO, swap Lightning Arc for Fire Strike and take Sparkstorm with Electric Personality. Fire Strike has a 25% chance to apply Clinging Flames, which will work better with Thermal Reverb... and it's Elemental Damage so it makes use of the debuff from Fire Snake. Electric Personality turns Sparkstorm into a Toggle, so you just have to click that on and then Hurricane or Fire Strike/whatever at the same time.

You don't need to rank up your Active Offense. Most DPS builds don't bother either. Matter - Energy Union turns Electric Sheath into a pseudo damage shield in addition to a damage buff.

Un[Breakable] isn't in too good of a place right now. Masterful Dodge is much better.

Something like this is how I would build it:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: CAPTAIN PLANET!!!1!!

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Invincible
    Level 6: Quick Recovery
    Level 9: Negotiator
    Level 12: Amazing Stamina
    Level 15: Healthy Mind
    Level 18: Boundless Reserves
    Level 21: Investigator

    Powers:
    Level 1: Wield Earth
    Level 1: Defiance (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Stone Shroud
    Level 8: Thermal Reverberation
Level 11: Fire Strike (Rank 2, Crippling Challenge)
Level 14: Hurricane (Rank 2, Rank 3, Challenging Strikes)
    Level 17: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 20: Flashfire (Sweltering Heat)
Level 23: Fire Snake (Rank 2, Trail Blazer)
    Level 26: Fissure (Reconstruct)
Level 29: Electric Sheath (Matter ? Energy Union)
    Level 32: Concentration
    Level 35: Masterful Dodge
Level 38: Sparkstorm (Rank 2, Electric Personality, Challenging Strikes)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Earth Flight
    Level 35: Snowball Roll

    Specializations:
    Constitution: Unyielding (2/2)
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Resilient (2/2)
    Constitution: Quick Healing (1/3)
    Constitution: Armored (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Tenacious (2/2)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)
    Protector: Resolute (2/3)
    Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)

Overdrive can scale off of End, but add some Rec too.

From Mecha Teddy's Attribute and Passive Scaling Thread:
    raediya wrote: »
Power: Overdrive (+0.041 Energy every 3 seconds for 15 seconds per stack per point of recovery.)
Power: Overdrive (+0.0088 Energy every 3 seconds for 15 seconds per stack per point of intelligence or endurance, scaling with the higher attribute.)

The tooltip in game is wrong. REC > END/INT for Overdrive. If you plan to stick with Lightning Arc, I would swap EGO for INT and END for REC and take Overdrive. If you plan to swap out Lightning Arc for Fire Strike, I'd stick with Thermal Reverb and just swap EGO for INT.

Thanks for the input guys, been starting some testing on PTS with a couple different variants. I'll post something shortly when I figure out what I'm going to do.
