Vikorin farming

So I've started farming Vikorin for his costume set and I'm looking to get some feedback from other people doing the same. How's the drop rate? How many runs approximatively do you need to do before one piece drops? Also, does difficulty improves drop rate at all?

I seem to have used up all of my luck early on... I got the belt on my 3rd run and a second one on my 5th or 6th, but absolutely nothing since (that's nearly 25+ runs since) ... And I mean NOTHING. All he drops now is a single r4 mod and that's it. He use to drop 3 slots blues but I don't see any of those anymore either. THat's one goddawful loot table. :/ I get better loot from the trash mobs...

So did I just got really lucky when I got started and it is in fact pretty rare to even see a costume piece drop, or have I just been unlucky since then?

    Lucky. His droprate is about 1 costume drop per 30 runs. Three slot is 1 to 10 about.

    I've been farming him many times on multiple characters over the past 5 or so months. No drops besides greens or Recognition.

    I envy you getting those drops. This is going to be like Jack Fool Demonflame runs for me. It took me over 700 times to get his mask until I had someone buy it for me lol.

    I been farming him too. I've been doing it about twice a day for a week and already got the; shoulder pads, gloves, and the boots. Seems like about every 3rd or 4th run I got a costume drop, I've never see any blues. Now you got me spooked I won't get anymore costume drops, gawd I hope not.

    Over 30 runs and all I got was a blue. Grrrr.....

    ...and until cryptic makes those costume drops, drop 1-per team member: teaming is a negative thing only hurting your goal

    0/83 = Costume Unlocks
    2/83 = Blue Primary Junk

    Too many of my runs result in 1 R4-5 Mod...which is usually a Vehicle Mod. Of course, your results would HAVE to be better than mine. I'm notoriously RNG MMO Cursed. Good Hunting. :wink:

    I do,however, have to dissagree with Snake. This isn't something unique to Cryptic and in your scenario the already low incentive to run the lairs would hit rock bottom. I would agree that alot of things in this game do have drop rates in the more ridiculous range considering what they are. In this case the gear should be on par(but differently setup) with SCR Primaries and THAT should be the rare. The Costume Unlocks should be more frequent but not 1 per person who participates. This encourages you and your friends to do multiple runs and help each other out(this is how myself and my friends run alot of the time...but rarely Andrithal because we just solo it.

    Also...more SCR for the boss kill please. More SCR for the daily special alert mission too while I'm at it. They don't compare to Unity/Unity2 even remotely IMO.

    Based on doing over 5000 thousands of runs of this kind of content (vikorin, TT, bronze king, necrull etc), the current drop rate for Vikorin (IN MY EXPERIENCE, before some of the snake-hate-party start givin mouth about fact/fiction) is between 1/50 to 1/70 in my experience.

    All the changes they make just convinces me to SOLO it to get what i need faster EVEN MORE, if the difficulty was anything threatening a team might then actually be required...

    as it stands if you have a team of 5 people, farming Vikorin as intended (fighting all mobs etc)..thats simply going to take months to get what you want. On your own> few days work.

    Ppl wont do it. They only team in TT cos they have to for the mirrors. That AND a drop is an ELITE ONLY drop, and being one of the toughest (thats not saying much) places in the game, archetypes and the like HAVE to get a full group of decent AT players (+1 healer) OR: 1 freeform who ends up doing it all for them.

    Not only is this Steve deviously handsome but he seems to have tremendous luck also. What a guy!
