Ode to the Homonculus

Decided to write a backstory for at least one of my toons, this one is about my main, pride and joy, Negledo. It's been a while since i've written a poem/short story so excuse the rustiness, hope you enjoy!
Once a Crystal child over 2000 years ago, his mother's grave illness prompted him to give up his humanity to the order of the Homunculus so that she could live, pitting him against his home and Albedo, his once lover. She was a Warrior who led the Order of the Crystal and Negledo's lover. They are at odds the Order of the Homunculus children ,now the two are sworn enemies slated to fight until one of the once joined hearts stops beating...
Negledo was recognized once outside what was his former home, he was spotted by a young girl, who wrote a song about him.
Yonder the Homonculus,
observes us in his gaze,
Unfaltering, Unaltering, standing there for days.
Will he attack us? reduce our village to naught?
With the presence of the Homonculus
I fear that all is lost.
I see no malice in his gaze, no weapons at his side,
but if pretty faces hide daggers well,
no telling what a stone face hides.

It's simple which adds a certain mystery to it. I like that I can imagine a story while thinking of what happens next.
