Hello champions I took a break during December but now I'm back!
I've seen there's a new lemurian outfit and an event going on yet, I couldnt find anything on the store and noone in zone was talking about the event, am I missing something?
Also early December people were talking about the "Foundry", has there been any news about it? I had a look at kickstarter but couldnt find anything related to this game. Please post the link if you got it.
Thanks.

The Lemurian event (if that IS what it is) is on test server now, I believe... not yet Live.
Anyway, Braxzana's got it right. The costume piece was only available for a couple days though. That part of the event is over.
The costume piece has already been handed out. I don't find anything more about additional costume pieces in the official information. Also this may help:

There's my source for multiple costume pieces being given out throughout the event.
If they don't release at least something to unlock on top of the 15 minutes max time it takes to do these crumb updates, then they shouldn't bother putting something in that's going to barely last a weekend.

I really hope it will be hordes of mobs. That will be EPIC!!! Please god no tentacles from a hole please. Make the Kraken drape from the top of a building. Make it huge!!! Give it like a billion HP. 8 Tentacled attacks and an AoE poison DoT from gas which stacks. All players can surround it with vehicles and such and shoot at it. Hmm, but just how did the Kraken get on top of a building? Let the mobs also be in vehicles flying around, shooting at the players like in the Avengers movie.
Yeah, alright guys, so these people have been whining on the forums about how this game is waay too easy. So.. let's give an enemy more HP. And make him attack for absolutely nothing on anyone with actual defense. That'll really challenge them.
You're kidding right? A billion HP?
It'd take 10 people with 17.6k DPS (Highest recorded that I know of)
94 Minutes to bring it down.
I'd rather get STO's level of lockbox suck if worthwhile updates come with it. -Buxom
In a paralleluniverse where CO was a success.
or since te idea was to be a zone idea it would be 100 people at most attacking. As shown against Tako, when you have that many heroes no matter who you are you dont last long. So i would love to have a Giant Monster and an Army to fight. I want to spend a long time Fighting. It would be great to have a Hammi Raid style baddie here.
Brian Regan called his show "The Epitome of Hyperbole". Should I go ahead and mispronounce every word in your post too?

IT LOOKS JUST LIKE A APPLE!
That man is hilarious.
Yes indeed! Especially if they use formations
eww... Raw squid out of water is gross (not to mention it kind of fails at moving)
No I'd rather come from water areas in underused sections of the city. Or even have it occur on Monster Island which has NEVER had an event... (unless you count presents)
Huge as in God of War 3 huge? Like I can climb around on it huge? Or maybe like in Gears of War 2 when they go inside that worm thing that is tearing down cities?
Dear lord I hope this is sarcasm... No. HELL no. For obvious reasons directly related to boredom.
Size & HP should correlate (makes sense from an immersion standpoint, certainly), but if it's just a giant punching bag that takes an hour or more to take out... again, hell no!
I realize it's probably hyperbole, but you can't even kid with this stuff around Cryptic... For example, "fix crafting" turned into removing crafting and replacing with a mod system to push sales of catalysts for Zen. Vehicle travel powers turned into vehicle become devices in lockboxes. See what I mean?
And like the bug with the "Minion, Be Empowered!" buff at the end of Demonflame it'll stack up too high and break the game mechanics...
Good idea, I have zero confidence in the programmer(s) to pull it off.
I like the idea of destroying vehicles, not of needing them to fight. I also really like that film.
Consolidate the currencies! (Please!)
Does your Champion have a theme song? (share it!)
Got a funny in-game screenshot? (share it!)
Please fix the Overdrive energy unlock! (Should help promote thematic build diversity!)
We'd hoped to make the robe work as well, but that fell through. We may offer the Lemurian robe later on, if we can get it working, but it won't be part of Thursday's update, unfortunately.
Bummer. So what costume(s) will we be getting on Thursday? I'm wondering what to look forward to on me birthday.
Vanish in the air you'll never find me
Not to be an ****, but this.... i like this, and it makes me respect you more.
There's too much quiet happening from the dev side, especially when things don't work. I really appreciate getting honest info from the CO team, even if it's just a simple "it fell through... maybe later on". They could use more of this on the STO side. Thank You Trail for being awesome as always.
Aside from the butt kissery, i'm also interested in seeing the new costume pieces as well as the events. The featured episodes were always a great touch for Star Trek online, and i'm sad that they never really did as well here with the comic series, so i'm looking forward to seeing how this new event works out.
This right here almost stopped me dead in my tracks when I read it because it made me remember something Balseraph made for VB that never got used. There was an Elite Only Boss in the water section right before The Baron called "Tentacle Beast" which was tall enough to reach the landing above. I had always hoped that he would make his way into TT where he belonged but....he could be recycled into this event since he was already complete.
Just something to ponder.

I have to say I'm disappointed though: I played a bit today and did the 2 new quests, that took me around 5 minutes. I definitely expected more, especially from something advertised as a "Mega event". Actually if I didnt know there's the event going on now I probably wouldn't notice it.
I hope the following stages will deliver more.
Pretty much,
"Oh Whoopi-do, lets go do those mish's!!!"
Mish 1:
- Take mish > Go to UNTIL HQ
- Kill single 4 enemy mob and interact with one single object > "Mission Success!" > Go back to contact
Mish 2:- Take next mish (contact immediately beside first mish contact) > Go back to UNTIL HQ
- Kill mobs to collect 4 mish items > "Mission Success!" > Go back to contact
- /the End
Total Mission Time: 5 mins or less (for BOTH missions)So that's what amounts to a "Ton" of content these days, huh?
Well, when considering the amount of content this game appears to regularly get....
Go ahead, I'm too busy being an elitest PvPer to actually understand sarcasm.
I'd rather get STO's level of lockbox suck if worthwhile updates come with it. -Buxom
Under there?
Damn, I miss those Hami raids...plus CoH was respectful...no stereotype looking characters like Baron what's his name..in the alerts..the voodoo guy
And playing by myself since Aug 2009

Selling early beta access and fluff items now? *shakes head and walks off*
Occam's Razor makes the cutting clean.
I'm surprised they're not selling vehicles as part of that package. I bet people would be willing to pay for dragon mounts and adamantine golem suits with moddable rune tattoos that give them different stat bonuses and powers.
How about a future, post apocoptic MC? Basically just do a drop in mesh replacement for the existing buildings to have everything all exploded. That way it's not even all that much work as far as envrionment design goes. Just some new textures and building meshes. No need to plan new streets or anything.
Those new building meshes of the existing buildings being blown up can then be hot swapped for events in the regular MC so that villains can tear the place up. You basically end up getting mulitple uses out of the work.
Just thinking of ideas that shouldn't require totally designing a new zone from the ground up, and ideas that allow reuse of the same content for multiple purposes, getting the most out of the money spent on developing it.

Excellent idea.
At one point in the past I suggested using instances of MC (or other existing zones) for Adventure Packs in order to tell stories of the sort that are best served by the use of instancing without having to design an entirely new map. I mean adventures set in NYC/Gotham/Metropolis are staples for DC/Marvel heroes throughout their career, not just at the beginning.
