Customer Support reply on the lack of content (Hopefully a sign of good news)

First off I'm a Lifetime member of Champions since before it launch. I mostly don't post of forums as you can see with my post count, but I'm also sad with the lack of content. Been wanting a new world zone so bad, and not just one but more places to explore on consent basis. So I decide to write some feedback to Perfect World, because Cryptic at the moment apparently has no active community managers lol. This is what I wrote:

I been with Champion Online from the start, but hasn't been really any interesting ground changing content at least for a long time. Alerts was an okay update, but we haven't receive any new zones or open world areas which this game desperately need soon. Also we need not just one zone update but more on consent basis, all I see is Star Trek Online and other PO games getting that kind attention then Champions-Online on the developer side. Champions need more love, much more love, please allow it to get the attention it need fast.

This is what they reply in couple weeks, making me think that hopefully they put the feedback to good use (At least I'm Hoping)

Hello

I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding to your query. Yes; I agree with you. Champions needs more love and attention and we in CS are working with the developers to get it the help it needs.

Thank you for your suggestion! We regularly compile this information and forward it to the developers for their consideration.

Please let us know if you have any other comments or suggestions to help improve the game!

Hopefully Champions-Online has a better five years ahead with content, I would like to see some new world zones (Moon Zone, Hudson City) And not to get my hopes up but a Villains Expansion. I suggest all who would like this game to have more content send constructive feedback to Perfect World to get Cryptic on track.

2 weeks is actually quite a terrible response time for an email. Someone would take heat for that at any other job. Or at least the ones I've worked.

Which contact form/email did you use? I've been wanting to write them as well.

I wouldn't read too much into it, that looked like a pretty cut and paste reply to me.

You know these are the same customer service reps for STO right?

I say that to bring attention to the fact that this answer is rather bland and unspecific. Which is to be expected, but it is hardly anything to log in about

Naming Champions itself is "unspecific?" (Granted, the response is bland.)

As much as I want to believe that that reply meant something, I can't. It's just...fluff. Basic PR....
I'm a life time member as well and I do check back to see if they've made any progress on CO but it's getting...frustrating. They just keep releasing them lockboxes as if they're the magical solution to everything.

Whatever happened to the "auras" that characters were able to equipt that was briefly in place in PTS?
Unless they do something FAST or at least give us a glimpse of what's coming up, CO's gonna crash and burn like that UNTIL sky defense carrier :P.

(seriously look at nexon's Maple Story. It's been runnin' for 10+ years now and the player fan base just keeps on growing. How are they so successful? well for one, there's new content every quarter of a year or so. I know this cuz my neice, being the only other MMORPG gamer in the family, would call me up everytime to share her excitement.)

CO has the potential to be better than DCUO and other superhero games and it's frustrating to see that nothing's happening...
"...the increase in players both around the shutdown [of CoH] and in the weeks leading up to it.." are just gonna decrease again, Mr. Brad Stokan. Also, since "User-generated content is something we [CO] love here", maybe PW/Cryptic Studios should pay more attention to player's outcry and just do SOMETHING. Have better communications between the devs and the players for one thing...

Au contraire, there's actually a magical "Save the Game" button hidden in the many scores of lockboxes. Once someone finds that button and pushes it, the game will be SAVED!

I think someone posted it in Zone or Trade chat, but wanted way too much for it.

Some devs feel the hurt that Co is going through, but they can't say anything for whatever the reason. We at least know someone cares considering the leak that was put on youtube.

    I_Want_To_Believe_01.jpg

They could start with checking the bug reports via the in-game ticket system. Also checking the bug reports form and my "top 5 things you want fixed in 2013" thread where people have repeatedly, REPEATEDLY, outlined what they want. Hell in December on 2012 I even did a Chrismas-themed "what do you wish?" thread which asked people to compare what they were mostly likely to purchase from what exists vesus what they want to see. You know how many other companies out there would KILL to have data freely given like that?

Maybe if they start doing polls based on the feedback from players in those topics, start fixing multiple bugs with every patch, and start doing public polls right from the launcher (like they did for the distortion travel powers) THEN I might believe for realz.

    Until then...

I only can say that I want to believe this is real.

You heard it here first, we will be getting Valentine's Day Lockboxes. They will be SWALK, (sealed with a little key), available for a very reasonable rate from the Zen Store. To make you feel really special, the prizes will include hugs, kisses and reassuring and totally non stock responses from your caring CS Representative, assuming they can spare the time from their main duties on the myriad other PW games they actually care about.

I just took the same step and posted a question through their support page regarding lack of content, ability to capitalize on CoH refugees (being one myself), lack of Foundry (even though they exclaimed how great user generated content is in STO, CoH and will be in NeverWinter).. will see what type if any, reply I receive. Also sent an email to Jack Emmett on Facebook about a month ago...hmm..still no reply...I'm sure its coming...

Does Customer Support handle things like this in this game? I don't know of any game where Customer Support is there to deal with things like lack of content, dissatisfaction with the way things work, etc. etc.

for the foundry they need to say either a yes or a no. they need to put this carrot away. becuase the old. we'll think about it is getting old. we were told we might get it when sto got it. we got nothing. then neverwinter was announced. again we were put on the back burner.

Oh i bet for sure the devs who were with CO from the beginning feel the hurt if they're as passionate about the game as we are (since CO`s practically their baby). um what is this "leak" on youtube?

Personally, I'm beginning to feel for Steve Long. Seeing his baby being abandoned in the parking lot while it's Step-Dad is playing the slots at the casino.

I received a similar response to a prior post. Also asked Dev online tonight about Foundry and while they think it would be a great idea, they think they time and investment to port it correctly would be alot, so its on indefinite hold...sigh

Human cloning is illegal, but if that's what it takes, I'm all for it. It's a bigger crime to let CO stagnate the way it is. We need more sandbox zones. A new f*'n city, or a bigger Detroit (MC) for f*'s sake.

How about a future, post apoc MC? You can basically just do a drop in mesh replacement for the existing buildings to have everything all exploded and stuff. That way it's not even all that much work. Just some new textures and building meshes. No need to plan new streets or anything.

Those new building meshes of the existing buildings being blown up can then be hot swapped for events in the regular MC so that villains can tear the place up. You basically end up getting mulitple uses out of the work.

    Just an idea.
