Make Eye Beams decent for Freeform builds other than Power Armor without making it OP, or especially OP for Power Armor--easy peasy.
Make it change to Penetrating Damage after Burn Through kicks in on the primary target, and maybe throw in a Plasma Burn Advantage for good measure.
I'd buy that for a dollar, and it uses existing mechanics from Power Armor and won't be OP.
They should hire me.
PS- I know this is a pretty lame post, but I just want to have Eye Beams on my Might toon without feeling gyped. Cause I wanna shoot frikkin lasers out of my eyeballs!

^ This. QFT. All telepathy has seen is the flip side of the nerf nuke, reducing the inhabitants of the telepathy powerset to nothing.
Re development was promised, tested on PTS then was backburnered 4 months ago, Feb will make it half a year since I was last able to play my main after I went from Silver to LTS on the mere fact of hope for the telepathy powerset.
I think telepathy and MA claws might be the only two powersets which havent had anything even done to them, I mean even PFF has been fixed slightly! xD
Celestial - Imbue fixing, for better or for worse.
Munitions - 2GM buff

Telepathy - Was given a useless form power, namely Manipulator which hilariously enough works wonders with outside set powers but doesnt even function with inset stuff. Has had the power which gave the set any damage or control appeal ripped to shreds because of an advantage. Healing provided by the powerset can be tripled and outshined by Celestial Powersets power healing abilities. I think even Might has more CC than Telepathy actually. Soo...yeah.. PA can wait.

But, just to point out: I wasn't saying it because of PA as a set, but just because Eye Beams are so iconic and classic that it sucks that it's worse than useless OUTSIDE of the PA set.
Actually, it's kind of silly that it's even in PA anyway. Very few PA heroes had eye beams
Anyway, so, that basically means I was whining :P. So I deserve what I get
I contest this. Telepathy has only been nerfed to nothingness, whereas claws actually has one working attack. DC can spike for insane DPH.
Unless you refer to the hidden animations the devs haven't made powers for.

I don't think your post was lame. I agree with you...
Eye Beams are indeed an iconic comic book power and I dearly wish they were even half way effective. And I don't feel that "this other power/power set needs more help" is a valid arguement. If a power needs help, it needs help, regardless of the state of other powers...

I contest this. One power does not make a set. I can make at least two viable builds using the telepathy frame. I'm sure that those builds would not measure up to the two purist telepathy advocates' standards, but they'd work for me. As with ALL of my builds, I would use some powers from elsewhere. These builds would still feel like telepathy to me. I can only make one claws build that would feel like a claws build, though, and I have to be willing to settle for Frenzy as an AoE, plus DC as my only attacks.

You mean "Claw". Singular. As in "The Claw set has one singular power in it."
Good point, forgot about Ultron.
And so I resubmit my suggestion. Just let the damage to the main target become penetrating when it burns through and throw in 20% chance to Plasma Burn on all targets hit, and then it won't be OP or out of place in the PA framework, but I'd consider it worth having on a classic flying brick.
