Mega Event so far?

Just curious how the first content explosion of the year is going so far?

I cant wait to log in and claim my free costume pieces!
How many new grav bikes have you seen zipping around?
Any clues or hints as to this mysterious new threat to millennium city dropping yet?

Lets hear some impress ions!

    I logged on early this morning (7 am my time.)

    I had no idea where to find the free costume piece NPC right away but I did eventually find him.
    I saw a couple of them.
    The only thing I can think of is it has something to do with Lemuria, but I could be mistaken.

    From what we have hear/seen around the Mega Event might involve a Lemurian Drill invasion/ Flood on Millenium City

    Ok, so I have not logged in in the longest of times. When and where does this meta event start?

    The free weekend costume piece and new lock boxes are technically the start of the event I guess. There are no actual event missions yet though, and Cryptic hasn't given out any additional details.

    Its started, we get something every 2 weeks for the next 2 months.

    So far the first phase is a costume unlock that takes 1 min to get and a change to the lockbox from tanks to bikes.

    I hope the other updates arent so completely pointless until the final.

    Log in and talk to the Professor around the Powerhouse area to get a new costume piece.

    You have succeeded in playing all new content that has been released since the Until Carrier Defense (Nov.).

    Not even an ambush to fight off after getting the costume piece (y'know in reference to the "guard this" dialogue).

    I was guilty of believing hype to be content. Gave hella $ for it too.

    I would change the tint of my rose-colored windshield, but there isn't a garage to do that in Millennium City. But I guess I can buy a different colored tank to remove that issue.

    That still doesn't make my previous statement any less true, though.

    They're doing it all wrong. Your drills are supposed to pierce THE HEAVENS, not the city. Silly fish people.

    Layered conquest. Sea-dwelling creatures cannot simply skip the dry land stage and go straight to the heavens. It's the same reasoning that the molemen in the center of the earth will never take over anything, ever. Too many steps.

    It doesn't hurt to aim high. After all, that's what we do to get Caliga off his high horse.
