How to increase content

Greetings! Haven't been in game in a while. Hope everyone had a nice holiday season.

I dunno if this has been suggested already, and even though I guess it probably has been, am still gonna suggest it in case of a long shot that it hasn't been.

I think a great way of expanding the current content would be to take all those 1-shot events like the Nighthawk event, for example, and integrate them into game as part of the storyline and leveling progression.

Imagine having a version of the Bloodmoon event as part of the regular storyline and leveling missions and just making some special extras and adds for the October event. (break it into a comic series?)

How about a short storyline that leads up to Gravitar? Nothing big, just some flavor that lead up to this epic battle.

Maybe, just maybe, this will allow for a raise in level cap after including all this extra material and a fresh infusion of content into the game w/o the need for a whole new map.

The most beautiful part is that almost everything in this suggestion only requires tweaks into already existing content, so in theory it should be easier to put together that creating a whole new line of content material from scratch for now.

    They could even rotate it and make it "The Villian of the Week" type of adventure, get it really featured, with more costume drops, a longer story, better overall rewards...

    I'm happy to say that the Champs dev team is committed to permanence with these events. It's still early in the process, but we're talking about having themed weeks in the future, where the events and dailies will be activated. Think of it as like Blood Moon.

    In addition -- although please remember, there's no time frame, everything is subject to prioritization, it could be a while before it happens -- the dev team is tentatively hoping to retrofit old events like Nighthawk for this kind of reactivation.

    That's cool and good to know. I had no idea it was on the to-do list. Though its great news and I look forward to it, my suggestion was a tad different.

    Instead of a rotating weekly event, I suggest just make it as part of the permanent content, perhaps as alternate leveling path for added replay value. General Examples:

    After defeating Hi-pan in Millennium City and coming back from the desert, why not encounter the whole Nightwing scenario as part of the mission chains in the northern part of the City. And for those who went to Canada instead, they come back to face the Takofanes mission chain.

    Switch em, mix em, make all available, dealer's choice, all am saying its would be far cooler and much more entertaining, at least in my opinion, having all these great storylines as part of the 'main' event rather than a rotating thing in which I have to wait for the ones I like and/or ignore the ones I dislike and have to wait for days until the one(s) I like to come around.

    It's like if, every time I bake up a black forest cake, I only had one slice of it and then tossed the rest in the garbage. It just don't make sense... let us eat the whole content cake!

    It doesn't warrant a level cap increase. But its certainly something we all hoped that the Nighthawk mission would have ended up into.

    Foundry would be a good way to increase content...
