Celestial Healing build - looking for feedback

Looking for some constructive criticism on this build. I am going for primarily for solid, well rounded healing with respectable enough dps to not drag a team down. But then it is my first freeform character so I expect to have missed potential synergies and other details. I am especially curious if my choices in spending spec and adv points made any sense.

In my opinion you have way too many attacks and heals. What I would suggest are some attacks and heals that have fast activations and/or are click type powers that linger after you use them. That way you can attack and switch to healing really quick when needed. And there are other ways to build a support toon so not to have to actively heal so much. Pets don't really do good damage unless you build for them and get as many as possible. Depending on what passive you pick, you have many synergies to choose from but it all comes down to theme and play-style. Besides "Angel of Life", what is the theme and your play-style? I would be able to help you better if I knew these things. And one last thing... some specs in Sentinel Tree are borked or useless.

as for a theme basically just the whole angel thing. Seemed appropriate for a healer. Perhaps also reminds me of my cleric in **** and my Winged Elf Cleric in PWI. In that regard having the Valkyrie and the flaming swords seems to fit nicely. I also like that I can let them go and do their own thing while healing or dpsing. So if there is a way I would like to keep them. Would it make sense for me to replace the sentinal tree with that one that is for pets? if so which specs from it should I get.

As for my heals and attacks which do you think I should replace and with what. I notice that I rarely use Vala's light. I use conduit a lot. mostly on bosses. I would like to have at least one AOE though I am not sure I like the cone style ones, might replace that Rebuke seems a bit redundant with conduit around. but it is a starter skill so I might be stuck with it and it does work well to tap quickly to save a person on the edge of dying.

I am also not sure overdrive is doing much or anything was thinking about swapping it out but none of the other energy unlocks seem useful.

    Something to consider:

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Intelligence (Secondary)
    Level 15: Endurance (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Grimoire
    Level 6: Accurate
    Level 9: Coordinated
    Level 12: Finesse
    Level 15: Diplomatic
    Level 18: Investigator
    Level 21: Prodigy

    Powers:
    Level 1: Radiance
Level 1: Celestial Conduit (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Seraphim (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 8: Illumination (Brilliance)
    Level 11: Palliate (Absolve)
    Level 14: Ascension
    Level 17: Redemption
    Level 20: Skarn's Bane (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 23: Ritual of Radiant Summoning (Rank 2, Unbound Ritual)
    Level 26: Pyromancer's Blades (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 29: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 32: Mindful Reinforcement (Rank 2, Revitalizing Boost)
Level 35: Ebon Void (Voracious Darkness)
    Level 38: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6:
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Presence: Repurpose (2/3)
    Presence: Selfless Ally (2/2)
    Presence: Grandeur (3/3)
    Presence: Moment of Glory (3/3)
    Sentinel: Eternal Spring (2/2)
    Sentinel: Caregiver (3/3)
    Sentinel: Sentinel Aura (3/3)
    Sentinel: Genesis (2/2)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Presence Mastery (1/1)

3 Adv points unspent for travel powers of your choice.

    Why?

Rebuke is not a good power. Using it for damage means you are spending more time charging than damaging. It does not hit that hard. Charged heals give their best yield when used at full charge, but players can be dead before you can charge up.

Iniquity is the game's best heal other. With Conviction, the heal from Seraphim and the heal from Selfless Ally, you should not have to worry about the self damage. This means your heal others are a click (Iniquity) and a maintain (Conduit).

I sacrificed the damage boost from Ego for a bigger energy pool for maintaining Conduit. The Ego ranged damage boost is OK, but having the energy is imo better. taking the Best Defense from the Guardian spec should more than make up for the loss. Yes, I know that Str for Melee and Ego for ranged is the current flavor. However, the bonus is additive, and you will have the bonuses from Compassion, Offense and Seraphim to fuel your damage. Also, if in a situation where there is no reason to be a healer, you can run in hybrid, where the larger Energy pool from SSS End will make a difference.

Guardian over Overseer. Why? The Best Defense is too good to pass up.

Pets: while tito is correct, it sounds like you want them for concept. This is fine, imo.

AoE heals: drop Illumination on your defensive target(s) and use Conduit on them. It's spread is not that big of an area, but neither is the area of Vala's. I put Brilliance on Illumination to make it easier to propogate Illumination to multiple targets without having to target and click individually. In Alerts, for instance, you can tag most of the team with Illumination while still in the starter bubble.

I made a more balanced support build with an Angel theme, hope it fits what you had in mind. I does everything support toons should do with decent DPS plus it looks really cool and plays different than most of whats out there. It can click group heal, debuff enemy damage, and stun mobs for 12 seconds so you don't need to actively heal as much.

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name: Support Battle Angel

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:LV40 Test toon had 71DEX 73CON 558PRE and 142DEX 144CON 629PRE(other stats 81-86) with AoPM in support role
    Level 6: Presence (Primary)
    Level 10: Constitution (Secondary)
    Level 15: Dexterity (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: The Savage
    Level 6: Intimidating
    Level 9: Enduring
    Level 12: Agile
    Level 15: Acrobat
    Level 18: Finesse
    Level 21: Shrug It Off

    Powers:
Level 1: Radiance Theme energy builder
Level 1: Conviction (Rank 2, Rank 3) Great self heal, it crits and procs MSA
Level 6: Iniquity (Rank 2, Justice) Main heal, with adv. it becomes an AoE heal, uses your HP instead of energy to heal
Level 8: Sigils of Ebon Weakness (Rank 2, Rank 3) Great mob damage/movement debuffer, scales with PRE, with 629PRE it debuffs for -71%damage and -80%movement speed
Level 11: Molecular Self-Assembly Great secondary energy unlock, scales with INT and procs from cooldowns ending
Level 14: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Resurgent Reiki) Self heal, procs MSA and with adv. works great with dodge
Level 17: Masterful Dodge Active Defense, gives +dodge chance and +avoidance
Level 20: Ego Surge (Rank 2, Nimble Mind) Active Offence, break free, adv. increases crit chance scaling with CON
Level 23: Aura of Primal Majesty (Rank 2, Rank 3) Great passive, +raw stat points, team buff scales with PRE, giving out +65 stats to self and +95stats to team in support role
Level 26: Collective Will (Rank 2, Consume Will) Theme attack, if used on stunned mobs you will get multiple summons
Level 29: Manipulator Toggle, gives +hold duration, scales with PRE/INT
Level 32: Storm of Arrows (Rank 2, Rank 3) Theme attack, Angels go with bow/arrows in my head
Level 35: Thunderclap (Rank 2, Rank 3) AoE Stun attack, procs Manipulator and MSA
    Level 38: Redemption Rez

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Teleportation

    Specializations: Spec'ed for Damage/Defense/Holds/Heal-easiness
Presence: Selfless Ally (2/2) Helps with Iniquity
    Presence: Dominion (2/2) +Hold duration
Presence: Grandeur (3/3) Great synergy with other tree specs for more offence/defense
Presence: Moment of Glory (3/3) +Crit chance
Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3) Great synergy with other tree specs for more offence/defense
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
Warden: The Best Defense (3/3) Great synergy with other tree specs for more offence/defense
Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2) Great synergy with other tree specs for more offence/defense
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Offensive Expertise (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Vindicator Mastery (1/1)

The way the build plays is to always be the first in to attack. You first stun mobs with Thunderclap and get Sigils of Ebon Weakness up for debuff, and Collective Will for multipe angel/spirit looking summons. Then you just attack with Storm of Arrows followed by Thunderclap while keeping an eye on the team and healing really fast with Iniquity as needed. Always keep BCR up to help with Iniquity's self damage and top it off with a Conviction after long heals. Hope this helps you in some way.
