Could we please get Gas Pellets to land on and AoE the perimeter around your main target. Targeting with this power is kind of tricky. Right now you can only throw them down in front of you and guessing the range every time is like gambling. You literally have to distance yourself from the target just right or they're ineffective. As high as this power is in energy cost, it should be more reliable and easier to use.
No thanks... In my opinion the change in play-style is really awesome. You can set up traps to heard mobs into, it makes you more mobile because you can't just stand in one spot and press a button. It basically keep you on your toes... I love it. You eventually get the range down and it becomes second nature. But please don't ask for a change in a power's mechanic when what we need is more variety, only because you think it's too tricky and hard to use.
The only thing I'd change about that power is to make the gas pellets obey gravity. It's cool they just sort of plop out in front of you at a set distance: Makes the move a lot more versatile and, as tito said, develops a small sort of sub-strategy. What I don't like about it however is that I use gas pellets, proceed to leap away (because I'm not a super-tough melee guy) and the pellets spawn in midair and literally do damage to nothing.
The thing is, gas pellets don't actually need or use a target - they just get thrown a distance in front of you - you can test this by clearing your target then clicking the power; If it needed a target, you'd get an "invalid target" error message.
Now, if they *could* target an enemy, that'd be better IMO.
