Our account linking period has ended. If you haven't linked your account yet, heroes, you will need to do so in order to keep playing Champions Online or signing into the website. If you've got questions about linking, read on in our blog post - we'll help get you sorted out.

If you are using a PWE account (which you are if you are able to post in the forums), no action is needed.

    i can't login to Champions Online, getting error code 12, and i'm guessing it has something to do with the required linking now. i have no problem with that except that the instructions are wrong. they say to login to the website and that you will be prompted with "do you already have a champions online/perfect world account and you are meant to select Yes or No. but i have been searching both sites for over an hour now and can find no such prompt or anything suggesting a link option of my accounts.

    am i taking crazy pills? how the hell do you link these accounts?

    Ok I don't know if this is really the right place to post this (most likely not) but since account linking seems to be the main focus I would like to find out if linking our PWO and Steam accounts are still possible. I found this link:( https://billing.perfectworld.com/steam/login/) on a couple forum posts and sites but it does not seem to be working and I have found no other related info if it is actually possible. Steam still has listings of the possible achievements / perks available altho some seem to be outdated.

    So mainly my question is can our PWO and Steam accounts still be linked and if so how?

    i accidentaly pressed no when i was asked if i have an existing cryptic account... now my champions are gone and i have to start from the beginning

    Yeah, this seems like an utter pain the the ****. I went to link, it said my Email was already in use. Spent a while figuring it out, and now it's all set. Overall, this just seems stupid.

    On an unrelated note, anyone else sad that CoH is gone? Haven't played it in ages, but I'm just sad to see it gone. Poor game...

    Send in a mail to Support, they should be able to help get you squared away.

    Ok i linked my account, but why cant i play my characters on my cryptic account and why are the items for the characters which are free less than before ? I think this linking is stupid....
    Anyway i just want to know how to play my cryptic charcters >:O

    well the problem is i linked the account but still dont have acces to my cryptic characters ..
    all perfect world wants is money cuz they dont let u play them and want u to make new characters and the characters on the PWE account have less items for the creation and u have to pay to have them -.-

    I have (well, i suppose now HAD, given all this) a Cryptic Account and a PWE account, one for STO (PWE) and one for Champions (Cryptic). Since they bear the same login-name, "Jaxora",with the PWE one having the @handle of @Sartilian, whenever i attempt to login it automatically assumes that i am using the PWE one. Thus, it is now physically impossible to utilize my Champions characters that i poured hours upon hours into, and also impossible to link the Cryptic account to anything (since i cannot log in with it). As such, barring some hidden solution i have somehow lost (whenever i log in on the forums it says i'm logged as Jaxora, but i think that it is referring to Sartilian? im not sure) i am completely without my characters and all the progress made upon them. Help would be appreciated greatly!

    seriously. this is bull**** and not an isolated instance. does PWE/Cryptic not monitor these forums? do they not see how many people can't use their accounts? i too have spent hours and money on my cryptic characters and now i have no access to them. bull****.

    PWE WHY WHY !!!! WHY THE LINKING ?!?!!? no acces to my characters like other people who spend alot of time in them and money too so give us our cryptic acc back

    Umm...I counted seven unique names on this thread. Granted, that's like.....a quarter of the game's population but hey. :)

    Seriously. Contact support. Be stubborn about it too. Keep contacting daily until a reply and resolution is reached. BUT BE NICE. Rude customers don't get helped well, or quickly.

    Is there a way to contact support without going in-game? Because as previously mentioned, my characters are currently inaccessible. And while I agree that ptexaporte is being somewhat overdramatic, we must remember that we are merely the only people that have mentioned it on this forum, not necessarily being the only people with this issue. And even if we are, this is still a problem that i would hope will be fixed soon. I understand that this switchover is hard for them as well, and there is probably not very many easy solutions. So let us be civil regarding this matter, yes? Again, any and all assistance would be -greatly- appreciated. Thank you for your time, ladies and gentlemen.

    I believe Trailturtle also had a couple of links that might be of use at the end the blog post he linked to in the original post.

    i totally i liked the game much spend time for my chars i cant play them now...its like they are saying to you:(no you wasted time we get money go cry now...)really no reason for linking bull**** and ppl who actually gave money its worst money got wasted to nothing as well its like giving your money to a fake beggar or something idk really bull****

    When you start the game to show me save matchin (and I go to the email but I do not have anything there) is there any chance to do it again send or do something about it?

    Same problem here, I linked my accounts, now I have lost my characters, my extra characters slots, and my jet boots travel power. I have been like this for months and the customer service don't want to fix it.

    Some people accidently linked the wrong account, this usually happens if you have more than one email address. Which customer service did you contact PWE or Cryptic?

    That happened to me.

    I'm speaking with perfect world, because I can't log in my Cryptic account even in the Cryptic web, it doesn't recognize my user name, which is funny, because when I ask them to email me my username, the one they give me is the one I use, but I can't login.

    It has been a while since I played this game, kind of funny actually, I created this account in early to mid-2011 and it still says I am on probation in the Notices - I haven't even made one post.

    Cut to the chase: The problem is, I had 2 characters, possibly 3, I cannot remember exactly anymore - and when I logged to my account in the game today, well looky looky, it says I have none. Furthermore - my account login is "looom", but when I log in with it the account name suddenly turns into looom1, however if I put looom1 as the account - says account does not exist.

    Has there been a character wipe(maybe the last time I played was some time july-august 2012 or so) or what do I have to do to get my characters back? I read about this linking of accounts, but I cannot make heads or tails of what is going on - I see no such option of linking anywhere as described in the FAQ section about this linking issue.

    Oh and, it says if I am able to post in the forums my accounts are linked so how come my characters have disappeared :O

    There hasn't been a character wipe, no. Usually this is a symptom of some name weirdness -- did you create a PWE account with the same name as your Cryptic account, but wasn't linked to it?

    I'd highly recommend sending a ticket in to customer support at https://support.perfectworld.com/app/home or customerservice@perfectworld.com, they'll get you hooked back up with your characters.

    Contacted the support staff and my issue got solved in less than 24 hours - very nice support I must say, I did not expect to get a reply for atleast half a week or so.

    My aacount was paid on April 1, 2013. After the maintenance today, I tried logging on and my account has been converted to Silver for some strange reason. I sent a ticket out and even try contacting PWE support but nothing. Whatever is going on needs to be fixed ASAP. That's $15 dollars gone down the drain if nothing is done and I am prepared to take legal actions considering this a spam issue by PWE. I have never had an issue such as this since the debut of Champions Online until PWE began monopolizing the MMO genre. Again, if this matter isn't resolve by this weeks end, I will take matters to a legal point. It is sad that you can't even enjoy a game without multiple issues at random since PWE.

    Hrm. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I would counsel a little patience -- Customer Support always has a number of tickets to take care of, and it can occasionally take several days for them to respond. The Support team will get to it as soon as they can, and make sure it all gets resolved.

    This is how you wipe your character list and account progress. (Requires that you had the Cryptic and PWE accounts made BEFORE the merger and separately.)

    You played Champions Online before the merger with the Cryptic account system. (Lets say it has the progress and time put into it.)

    You also downloaded and played Champions Online through PWE's account system while they were doing the merger account link. (This one has nothing since you never played it since you had the Cryptic account already.)

    You finally link both accounts together and the PWE account progress (nothing) overwrites your Cryptic account since they both cannot exist at the same time.

    tldr;
    If you played the game with a PWE account and Cryptic account separately and merged them after, your Cryptic account based characters will get overwritten with your PWE ones.
    So please post your reports through the in game bug report system and contact customer service as soon as you can to prevent this for those of you who did not combine accounts yet.

    I am one of them... i cant login cryptic account .. and perfect world sucks less costumisation items... and this sucks i miss old Champions online....

    Also cannot get my old characters to show up. And some posts seem to imply that the custom items I bought before are GONE. Might as well just delete the game at the rate this seems to be spiraling downward....

    At a guess, you're probably logged in to a non-shadowed account -- best guess I can come up with at least. Definitely ticket in to Support, they'll be able to clarify what's going on and get you set up.

    um, i cant post threads, which is strange cuz ive been playing champions for over a year now. help?

    *EDIT* join date seems to be activated when you log into the champions online website, guess this is a first for that, sorry.

    I have not play Champions online in years.. I wanted to come back but not if I cant have my old account.. I typed in my old account info and it no longer works.. So How can I link my old account to a perfectworld account?

    Ok so I had an old Email that I saved and somehow found a work around into my old account..

    there is where I was able to log into my old account.. I even changed the password.. It had my old billing info and everything.. Still this is the only place where I can use my old account info and still wont let me link my info to PW.. But there is a buy zen button there and I used my PW info with it.. I still dont think my accounts are linked tho..

    when we had yoto merge. I didn't know I already had a pwe acct from applyin g for NW beta

    they merged and coverted the acct for me.
    I still have the correct subscription time

    My Champions Online login has been iffy ever since that merge:mad:

    In my case I already had a Cryptic account for Champions and a separate PWE account for Perfect World. Now that they are combined Perfect World workd fine from the launcher but often as not I have to go online and start Champions Online from the Web page since it does not like either my old Cryptic credentials nor my PWE ones. It is very annoying.
