You guys/gals ever thought of making an actual cartoon for tv based on the game characters and this CHAMPIONS team? trouble with cartoons nowadays is they are either really stupid or they dont have the balls to go beyond the main main stream characters. you have history, story lines, and an interesting team. it would also boost game interest. money, money, money!!!! if something like this ever does happen...have good animation and dont make it goofy/silly like 98% of animation today! like the new Ultimate Spiderman...goofy. if it left out the dumb crap it'd be a good show. hell...maybe even make a CHAMPIONS animated movie to see how well its accepted. you could even maybe showcase characters from the players now. whats everyones thoughts/feedback on this?

Well they have had comics back before the online game.

But tv is big bikkies (australian slang for lots of money) and so unless it started online as flash animation and built up some success i doubt it'd get greenlighted.

After all seen the Destroy All Humans tv show? Nope, no-one has, and it did have a tv deal.

That would be nice, but it will never happen. Like the previous poster said, its a matter of money. Making a cartoon, even if its Net-only, would help create a strong cult following. I don't know of any other MMO that has done that. CO is currently one of the best hero MMO on the market, but PWI doesn't market like that. I know for a fact they will pass on this opportunity even though its a great idea.

I was watching a bunch of youtube videos last night.
DC bombarded me with their LEGO game ads.
DC is building a reputation with today's children so when they
are old enough to choose products they will choose DC.

Cryptic/Champions does not have the marketing power to build brand awareness and loyalty.
In fact it actively produces enemies among its clients.
This is a job for PRGuy!

Saturday morning cartoons as a feature of television died in the 90s.
Why? Because it stopped selling boxes of sugar and food coloring.
It stopped selling toys. No matter how many Barbie Plasma Turrets
they tried to sell, kids just wanted a dose of Ritalin or thats what parents gave
them so they would stop asking for that crap they saw on Saturday morning tv.

Ben 10 works because he has toys.
You find him in the Kmart, Target, and Walmart.
The brand has sold over 100 million toys worldwide.

How many toys does Champions have to sell? A button? Bumper sticker?
They don't even print boxes anymore.

Reality says cost vs. return would be INCREDIBLY unfavorable. It's not like the Champions heroes are well known or given a crap about. They have trouble keeping an Avengers cartoon going and people know and like those characters. It's simply not going to happen. And from a business standpoint, there's no reason it should.
