Patcher Problem....

I can not log on or even get the launcher to connect. All I get is the auto update tries to connect 2 times then it says patch server not connecting. this has only started happening a few hours ago..... i reinstalled the patcher and redownloaded.... absolutely nothing happened. anyone else have this issue?

Um, the server is down for a patch.. maybe the patch server is down?
