When does the Holiday Event start?

I haven't seen any notices letting us the players know when Champion's is going to be flipping the Seasonal Switch?

    Maybe since most of us players have been Grinches we dont get the same old season event we have had every year. Poor CoX guys, looks like you will miss out. Sorry.

    Dudes. It's December FIFTH.

    Just because the stores start stocking plastic Santas two weeks before we have Thanksgiving in the States, doesn't mean everybody has to start rushing the season...

    In all seriousness, we probably wont hear a thing till a couple of days ahead of the event. Same thing happened for halloween. It went on Test a week before and was announced around the next Wed.

    Two? We had Christmas up before Halloween where I'm at...Next year it's shortly before July 4th...

    I do agree with you though. Give it time. Although, I'm guessing double XP, new alert and c-store/lockbox stuff will be the most we will get on top of the usual. If not just the usual.

    The reason why they're asking is simple - STO's seasonal event launches tomorrow (and runs for 35 days, and offers a completely free ship if they do 25 days worth of dailies, among many, many other things).

    So, what is CO getting this year?

    I'm waiting for when I turn on the TV on Dec 26th and a commercial reminds me to hurry up because I only have 364 days left to get my shopping done.

    It's usually the week before and week after Christmas, with adjustments made for the actual day of the week the 25th falls on.

    I would guess this year, the patch will go in on the 21st (a Thursday), and last until January 3rd (also a Thursday).

    What, did you think this was CoX, with a ski lodge you could relax in, skiing, prizes, and the spirit of giving....for a number of weeks? Why would players want that? It isn't a grind, or hacking at monsters, so it would obviously be a waste of time.

    Besides, why take more than the absolute minimum time possible to acknowledge the Holidays? That's time not spent on Alerts and grinding!

    I am kinda looking forward to the Ice Races in STO. That was great fun last year.

    According to Patch notes for PTS the Christmas Event will start tonight, on PTS. So I would expect it to launch next Friday for live.
