Okay, so I'm Yet Another CoH Refugee #18372 trying to rebuild their characters here in CO. In this case, my Titan/Elec Brute steampunk robot girl. I'm not really interested in using Power Armor on this one, since I don't think miniguns, lasers, and missiles popping out fits the character or being made of clockwork. I've been working with Heavy Weapons, and really like the set and the Heavy Mecha Mace fits what I'm going for, so trying to make something that lets me have a nice, really sturdy Invulnerability tanker.
The thing that's turning into the sticky widget for me is how to get this build working. I really want to work Earth Splitter into this build for RP reasons, and would like to work in some electrical powers too if I can, maybe Sparkstorm. This is the build I'm currently building towards:

But I'm debating with this build, and had a possible idea for another one:

I've also debated replacing a power with Gauntlet Chainsaw.
So, input? I'm trying to make someone sturdy enough to effectively tank most major enemies like Mega-Terak or Therakiel without having a pocket supporter, and simultaneously more interesting than just pushing one or two buttons ad infinitum as my sole two attacks. More concerned about fun and interesting than being optimum.
Being able to tank Gravitar would be spiffy and all? But honestly, given how insanely overpowered she is, not at the top of my priorities.
Comments
My only "notes" would be that personally I don't have much use for Skewer, and when given the choice of charging a Skewer or Anhialate I'd probably go with Anhialate. Or Arc of Ruin since it does comparable (and possibly higher) damage, and has the resistance debuff advantage. But really that's a personal choice, everyone else seems to love Skewer.
Second, Rebirth kinda sucks. I like the idea of it, especially the boosted damage, but because of forms and clicks, it's easier to not die and continue doing high damage than bring yourself back to life and do almost as high damage. If it's a concept thing (which I get, cuz I have it on a build) then go for it, but overall it's not all that stellar and the animation is not as cool as it should be, and as a tank-ish character, you really shouldn't be dying very often, if at all.
My one issue with Annihilate is the knockback, which kind of limits it's use. The damage is great, but the knockback is crazy. Though I've gotten better at building up enemies knock resistance so I can hit them with it (it usually just one-shots Henchmen).
Earth Splitter is there for concept reasons, because I've always wanted to smash the earth and have the shockwaves hit someone across the room.
Personally, I hate Knockback, but with Anhialate it's usually not too bad since if you Lunge in it becomes a knockup instead, and they build resistance to -back pretty quickly; since everything that's easily knockable dies pretty fast it probably won't be much trouble for the long battles, and if I recall correctly for things that you can't knock like bosses you get a damage bump, as well as building enrage stacks through knock attempts, but if you play more comfy with Skewer go nuts. Like I said, some folk love it, probably for the reasons you listed.
Good point. I'll consider that one. Same time, couple quick pulses should get that settled.
