Just do a sidekick you can vendor to on a 10m cd, sell it for 1200Zen, and call it a day.

Imbue change is nice, though. Couldn't figure out why that hadn't been done from the get-go.

Shadow strike is next on the list, right?. Good job on the ascension fix btw. Keep up the good work PWE.

Why would you want to remove Shadow Strike via NTTG V_V

Leave that power alone all that needs fixing is stealth stacking not the damage of the power. Its working as intended now back to positive stuff!

    IDF = YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

THANK YOU SO MUCH CRYPTIC! I can now FINALLY finish off my match with an Ice user >:3

Um quick question..since Ascension has effectively been destroyed..because NTTG is also present in PvE...will all Ascension Users be getting a retcon?

As a player base, I know alot of people including myself presented alternatives to this fix, were they considered at all?

It seems rather unfair to destroy another power because of misuse in PvE/PvP, it could have been tagged as a "Open World/PvP Map power" which would not fly in alert situations. NTTG could have provided a -100 flight debuff like Psionic Surge does... + more options..

When i get hit for over 20k damage and the person isnt using the smoke bomb bug then i highly doubt the power is working as intended. Hitting that hard in PvP causes issues let alone what it does in PvE. The game is easy enough as is in pve Shadow strike needs a look!!

Also why is the night warrior passive the only passive in the game that gives a power and a toggle off bat thats a little off imo. You should have to lose a power pick to take a power that hits that hard. Yes it has a cool down that is a little long but that is totally erased by the spec trees and int.

Nightwarrior/shadow strike needs a look next please!!

To be really honest, the ascension fix is depressing. Just like Imbue.

No, not because I use it as a crutch or whatever else people want to call it. In fact I do not have a single toon with ascension. However it is depressing because once again, we have another power changed beyond recognition probably because the programmers could not figure out how else to fix it.

They could not separate the flight from the rest of the buff. Hence NTTG removes the entire "active offense" and as a sorry note, you now heal yourself and all those around you. Ermmm, is that then an AOE resurgence with flight? So is it still an active offense? Come on, stop changing powers as they were designed to function and fix the things which need to be fixed.

Its the small QOL improvements like these that make me smile.

Monster Island has the old crafting folks in the zone-in area for vending. I think - could be wrong, though - that those are the only ones. At least, only ones I can remember right off hand.

Adding these vendors makes me happy, but as others have pointed out, the area immediately around Defender is pretty well covered for vending. Heck, Defender's in Rencen anyway - you can't go more than twenty feet without tripping over a way to sell things. Wonder if we'll get a vendor or two in the higher level areas of the city.

Canada, I believe, could also use some help - kinda sucks having to run back to base to sell there. At least with the Desert you can stop in at Snake Gulch.

IDF and Mental Discipline arent standardised forms as they dont follow conventional form functions especially IDF with no stacking mechanic.

Interrupts were breaking the activation of this power (and Mental Discipline), so that when you activate IDF for example, any form of interrupt, such as Ice Cage with Sub Zero Cell Block Advantage or Back Hand Chop, the form would be deactivated and would require manual re activation to start working again.

This effect was not intended and I for one am VERY glad this was fixed.

I can confirm the crafting npcs in monster island can be sold to.

On the subject of adding vendors, instead of one by defender (which as mentioned has more than enough) how about lemuria? no where at all to sell.

Why the hell we need another star vendor near defender when we have a vendor of stars near tailor and for sell another trash old science build. Is this the best idea you have for improve the game make people dont need to move near defender for do something? You did people dont use canada, monster island, lemuria or vibora bay cause all can be done thanks to the alerts without move from the millenium and now you want people dont move from near defender.

Now we have alerts for level up easy without do missions in other part of the co world. We have alerts for money and mods for professions. And now we have a vendor near the alerts missions so we can sell trash and buy stars.

My question is what will be the next? Cut all the maps and just let the defender plataform stay in a limbo and all players near him like insects?

Ok just been in game to confirm, the new vendors are just to sell to.

Seriously why add one by defender? I timed it, its 3 seconds walk with no travel power from defender (and makes the place look untidy). What 6 seconds walk, again with no travel power to toymaster is too far??

How about you move it to lemuria, where there are NO vendors in the entire zone!

Do you have any idea how many people don't know about the Toymaster or the Costume Quartermaster since the tour of RenCen was dropped? Heck, there are folks who don't know that you can buy your stars back from the Charity Worker under the awning!

However, we definitely need one somewhere in Lemuria as well. At least, if there's anyone on the sub who can buy your vendor trash, I didn't find them...

JUST NO! spam aoe. use int. DONT NERF! ******it why does everyone wanna nerf!:mad::mad:

Just to let you in on a secret int alone does not let you see through the shadow strike set up in PvP you need 300 int plus two perception pieces to see through it and none of this matters because if you can see them or not the buff still applies alot of the time. When using the bug th move hits for 40k dmg , meaning your getting one shotted on a 12k health defiance toon. on top of all that the power doesnt cost you anything cause unlike any other power in the game it comes free with a passive.

On to the spam AOE, that doesnt really work because of holds etc.. all the person has to do is drop ego sleep or another hold on you then bam one shotted. Lets add that ascension no longer works as it did so when you are held by that shadow striker they just have to use nttg then bam one shotted. Active defenses also seem to have little effect against the power.

Now lets consider that the PvE side of the house has none of the tools used in pvp to avoid the Shadow strike damage. Thats a tad bit ridiculous if you consider that you can get the cool down on the power down to almost nothing. So i don't really see any defense that makes sense for keeping the power as is.

You dont even have to spend a power point to get the power because it comes with your passive, I can't be the only one that thinks thats a bit off. How does 40k dmg make sense or seem right to anyone?

How about add it to defenders blurb when he sends you to drifter - send you to toymaster and ask about the store.

I mean what next? drifter to sit on defenders lap because hes too far away? How about the super jet lands on his head again as its too far away...

If they absoloutely MUST have a vendor by defender why not one of the existing npcs at a console just being scenery? Why add a vendor outside the hub and make it look untidy?

It's easy to counteract holds since they got broken, just spam breakfree or use an AO. Spamming AoE is an effective way to deal with ShadowStrikers, or better yet infect them with poison or Clinging Flames or Bleed and they won't be able to SS you for a while. Masterful Dodge works a charm IMO, high defense and good dodge/avoid should help against this power.

Ascension still grants breakfree btw...most SSers start with a lunge which usually has NTTG attached to it..all you need to do is wait for that to pop then hit Ascension.

If you find yourself in fights with someone who's got both Ego Sleep and Night Warrior going on, you must be using a FF toon, because otherwise you're going to die anyway fighting their FF with your AT.

So, if all you want is a PvP FF build to combat Shadow Strike, get Sparkstorm, with the Advantage that makes it a toggle. Then keep toggling it on. They can't get close enough to Shadow Strike you effectively, because the Sparkstorm will ruin their Sneak ability, dropping the multiplier on SS.

There's a Scourge ability that does the same thing (a persistent AoE around you, to damage anyone nearby and ruin stealthing); don't know what it's called, though. Both are also useful against VIPER Infiltrators and their incredible stealth, in case you actually wanted to, you know, play the game sometime...

I really like lemuria, its my favourite zone!

Canada and monster island are tied for 2nd best

rest below that except for snake gultch!

They should be adding more things to do with worthwhile rewards in these fantastic zones instead of boring 2 minute alerts and adding pointless npcs so people never move more than 10 feet from defender...

You can put masterful dodge and use dodge gear etc... but it doesnt do near what it should .That is all besides the point though the thing is that the power comes free can be doubled with a bug and hits harder then anything else in game.. anyways i dont want to derail the thread any farther but I'm willing to explain why your suggestions don't work to you in game if your curious.

Some content would be nice after all the money we've spent on gambling keys! I think we as a player base have proven ourselves worthy of some much needed development within this game. Wake up PWE and do something here besides nickle and dime us to death! All you're doing is throwing us crumbs. We've lost a lot of players due to your lack of give a crap. Hire some developers or bring back the ones you took from us! Make it a priority to get this game heading in the right direction. The content of this game is going stale.

wasnt trying to go anywhere near epeen but ill take the troll bait..

I referred to a thread raven herself stated saying she/he would like help getting into pvp etc.. and that they didnt have alot of experience there. As for shadow strike it hurts PvE more then it does PvP if it can do 40k dmg to a min/max pvp player it can demolish the pve mobs. Lets not even talk about the dmg lets talk about the fact that the power is given free with the nightwarrior passive.

No other passive in the game comes with free powers and the powers you get without cost are pretty decent ones. So roll eyes and try to start forums battles all you want but its pretty hard to deny that the power and how it is accessed is a little off.

content wise what i think they should do is add missions to desert, canada and city as needed, so you can do either from lvl 6 and get to lvl 30 in either zone, or mix and match.

Then add to monster island, lemuria and vibora bay, so each has enough to get from 30-40, or again mix and match.

That gives a good base to lvling paths (something that should have been in the game long ago).

Then add a new zone, either mid-end game or just end game content (since a character you spends most of its time in game at max lvl since levelling is so fast here)

After that they can go back to sg bases, expanded nemesis, hideouts, vehicles, new ap/comic series rampage/alert/event next big gimmick etc

bug fixing and balancing of course should be ongoing, as well as periodic new costumes/powers etc

They have a unique game here which has the potential to dominate this niche, but its been all but abandoned for at least a year, other than half implemented then abandonded gimmicks.

Yup you are right darkonX. He has not duelled enough FF shadowstriker to know that z meshing is not able to break sleep fast enough to avoid a SS. A good shadowstriker will also not try sleep an opponent until the said opponent has already use his AO.

As for jonsill's suggestion of using sparkstorm, there is another power which is force eruption which can be used while held so technically you can spam the **** out of it once you are held. However this is not a gauranteed. Depending on the toon set up, sparkstorm may run out of energy. The timing can also be cranky and the shadowstrike may get through before you can knock them out of stealth. I personally have tried both and is currently using sparkstorm. From experience, trying to activate these powers while held sometimes does do not work and you need to press the key a couple of times and during this lapse you could be the victim of a shadowstrike.

I have even experimented with the toxic barrels and nuclear warheads from Lemuria as a way to break sleep but they do not work (bet you did not think of this haha). The toon will just take damage but the damage will not break the sleep at all. Maybe the devs can fix this.

Finally, I think the best counter would actually to have the perception gear and stealth sight and keep dotting them with toxic attacks so that even when they sleep you, you have enough time to break it.
