More Grounded Vehicles.

I was talking to a friend who was sort of miffed to say the least about the new update namely Reloaded as there arent any real ground vehicles.

Having said that looking at the background of the new loading page there is a drill sort of machine, two actually, I was wondering if the second phase of vehicles will be grav bikes and grounded vehicles?

The Drill Vehicles were similar to this

>>Here<< the vehicle behind Frozone.

I too wonder if non flying vehicles will be added soon, hover and flying is ok, but just not for every hero.

He and I agreed that ground vehicles whislt they may lack the mobility and freedom of aerial ones, they should be able to have high defense and act as well..tanks:tongue: and some should be able to use a tunnelling sort of power.

This might have been suggested before but I am not sure. He also suggested 4 legged tank vehicles like the ones from star wars maybe but on a smaller scale, like those Hover Tanks size but with legs instead of jets.

What does everyone else think?

In the ninja turtles cartoon the shredder and rocksteady and bebopp would ride something similar to that where it would drill underground followed by a lava flow, then pop up to drop off enemies etc, It'd be one of the few vehicles to have a underground or puddle type travel power if they were to implement it the right way, it'd be pretty cool to see.

Well, if you insist...I would like a motorcycle (as some other people have said), a car and maybe a horse...but yeah, not only flying vehicles, but some ground vechiles as well

    one word

Motorcycles, NOT speeders, motorcycles, we already have models in game, and so many people want them, and they can appeal to all types of concepts (except for mystic, unless its something like Ghost Rider), we could have a regular one, a tech one (think TRON with this one) , and probably all sorts of decals and skins for both, like emblems, colorization, and all that.

Secondly, cars, we have the models for them too, they even move. As said about motorcycles, there is a TON of stuff and models you can go with for them.

Big ground vehicles- Something like the drill listed in the OP's link, as stated before, you can have a lot of models for this type.

But please Cryptic, can we just get regular ground vehicles?

"And...bears! Bears that shoot lasers from their eyes!!"

Well, let's see if we can get regular vehicles before we start going overboard with transformable vehicles. :)

    I sure hope so.

Sure i want a flying saucer or shiny silver retro style rocketship for most of my characters but my other characters would want one of the nice roadsters i see driving around town or parked in the lots and such a tunelling device i could totally see Professor Ant Head using.. hmm got to remember to watch out for exploding fire-breathing toads and psychic pteradactyls when using it though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yL7MTLCKgo Though perhaps a few heroes can resist the evil psychic pteradactyls... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCn2BLX66LE oh dear...

I would like a hoverbike that's a reasonable size compared to the super advance jet and tank.

The things are like 4 miles long.

    (and ugly).

Funny, I'm disappointed at the small size of the Hawkwings and the tanks. My character doesn't even remotely look like he'd fit. I'd imagine the size of the Hover cycles is larger because you can see your character on them and it would look funny if they shrunk while getting on...

I don't want smaller Hover cycles, I want bigger, more logical sized jets and tanks...

    This.

Funny thing is I've seen people using the magnifier on their tank or jet which makes them actually look about right size wise. You can only use em out doors so it's not like there would be a maneuverability issue except for maybe fitting in some of the littler alleyways in Millennium City or Vibora Bay.

As for the actual topic of ground vehicles all they would probably need to do is make them use a fancy version of super speed the same way the current ones basically use a fancy version of flight. As for dealing with ledges and stuff they could just put some kinda jump jet like Mass Effect's Mako, or maybe jump jacks like in Speed Racer on them, or heck just go screw it and let them hop Mario Kart style.

Consider tho that most of the bike is huge **** turbines and a 10 foot nosecone looking thing. I'm not talking about shrinking it, I'm talking about having less huga **** nosecone and turbines. So it looks like a bike, rather than a cockpit-less plane.

Gotcha. I think if they meet half way (bigger jets/tanks, smaller cycles) we're golden...

Imagine using a Magnifier on a Hover cycle... "Yes, as a matter of fact I DO own then whole damn road..."
