Bloodmoon - Soloability

Please make the undead heroes' lairs capable of being soloed. People almost never want to group up for them, and some players don't like grouping for lairs. It really doesn't seem like it would take all that much effort to have the boss at the end scale to party size, even if that's a party of 1. I've been playing this game since beta and to date I can count on one hand the number of times I've made it through an undead hero's lair. There's no fun to be had in that.

Or perhaps if there were a better reward at the end... maybe a load of questionite ore? THEN maybe you'd have more people wanting to jump on it.

Perhaps the lair should also be an open mission? Or some sort of "alert" exclusive to people who've beaten that particular undead hero? This way you don't even have to form a group - you just jump in on it.

Ive been playing a few months and did them all solo when bloodmoon was on.

I would think maybe youre trying as an AT that cant manage it, but if youve been here since beta you must have freeforms (or had in the past) and should have plenty of expertise to be able to solo them with so much more time here.

A defensive passive in balanced role with a heal and a good attack power is all it takes, add in an active defence or 2 on top if needed.

I'm talking about the LAIRS... not the undead heroes. The undead heroes I can solo. Their lairs - no. Not even possible. The end boss regenerates too fast for one person to beat.

Maybe that's the problem? Too many new players don't realize there's more after you beat the undead hero?

Actually, I've been able to solo the crypts with ease on multiple characters. Even a Soldier AT. Not even using a crazy no-concept build designed to crank out the most DPS.

What level are you doing the crypts at?

My level 40 pure concept Ice main romps right through them...

I haven't even bothered in ages... maybe they reduced the difficulty sometime over the last year or two? But I went at it with a level 40 and it was a stalemate. Just couldn't make a dent fast enough. It just kept healing itself.

The only times I ever went all the way through and won, I was in groups of maybe 4-5? And it took a VERY long time, but it was the first Blood Moon event and everyone was much lower in level.

All the same, they should fix it so everyone who enters the lair enters the same lair - in a group or not.

I know youre talking about the lairs, inside the gates, so was I!

Been inside each of the 13 once only, solo and finished each easy with no deaths.

All it takes, as i said is balanced role, defence passive, heal, good attack and an active defence for emergencies. Piece of cake.

Wait, you started this thread without even trying first?

They nerfed the difficulty quite a while ago...

If my telepath on LIVE can do it, anyone can, trust me. ((She will get better..soon...>:3))

I did it solo during Blood Moon on a level 35. Also tried some of the lairs on a level 27, and succeeded. It's perfectly soloable. Admittedly, both of those were built for DPS.

I've soloed the lairs more times than I care to count. I know others who have done the same. Not bragging, just pointing out that it can be, and has many times been, done (from Bloodmoon launch to present).

As far as i can remember, every boss in the dungeons does drop a Q - box. The lairs can be soloed within less than 3 minutes, using teleport to get to the bosses. Get a Nimbus, if you can a DMFG, and a supernatural possession, maybe throw in a tiger cub and a radion's revenge to amp your dps on the final boss, a bit.

I had more trouble on Strenght of Takofangs or what ever you face before the last room, "End Boss" goes down faster than Kevin Poe.
If you can't solo the whole game, you got some problems on your build or play style....

Just want to point out that only healing the boss does are life drains. And those attacks can be mitigated simply by blocking. If the boss is healing, it is because you are allowing it to.

Deny the boss that ability and the fight is easy.
