Ice/Munitions

Hello folks!

I have a yen to create a survivable Ice/Munitions character; it's more of a concept than something I want to crow praises of. My more logistically-minded friend helped me put this together, and it survives Training Room DEMON at Hard x5 just fine.

Level 1: Shatter (Rank 2, Crushed Ice)
Level 6: Ice Shield (Frigid Air)
Level 8: Invulnerability (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 11: Killer Instinct
Level 14: Two-Gun Mojo (Close the Gap, Crippling Challenge)
Level 17: Concentration
Level 20: Ice Sheath (Supercooled)
Level 23: Gatling Gun (Rank 2, Listen to Reason, Accelerated Metabolism)
Level 26: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
Level 29: Masterful Dodge
Level 32: Avalanche (Rank 2, Serrated Shards, Challenging Strikes)
Level 35: Ice Burst (Rank 2, Freeze, Dirtbag)
Level 38: Palliate

I'm having Energy issues, which I'm hoping can be mitigated with decent gear. My only caveat is wanting Gatling Gun (concept, like I said). Is there anything else that could be done with it? I'm not looking for the End-All-Be-All of super Tanking, just something that works well for mostly soloing.

Any help would be appreciated!

    For energy issues, you could:

    Switch superstats to EGO Con/End (or Rec).

    Switching to PSS EGO will give you access to Insight, lowering the cost of all your ranged powers. This will also let Killer Instinct and Concentration pull more weight in the energy department.

    Your Utility slots gear at 40 will reduce the cost of your powers even further. You should be more than fine after that.

    I would use Overdrive instead of Killer Instinct, and switch END against REC.

    A nice super-stat mix for high-energy/maintain builds, I've found, is INT / con / rec (con for tank builds, dex or ego for ranged non-tanks, str for melee non-tanks).

    Anyway, INT is nice SS'd, and I recommend REC over END, as well. If you use MAINTAIN powers a lot, then Overdrive might be better. I like that a lot! I am very biased towards maintain powers, though.

    Get all INT in gear except for one 37REC secondary utility piece and you'll have no need for your energy builder, you can just attack with any power non-stop even with Gatling Gun. With all INT mods/gear + Cooldown redux gear/mods you can always have one active offence/defense on.
