Blood Moon Playtest [Ongoing]

Join Drannic, your fellow players and possibly yours traily in a playtest of the Blood Moon event on PTS tonight (Oct 2). Copy your character to PTS here, and get more information in the blog.

Note: The main playtest is done, but more playtesting and feedback is always helpful!

    Is this the same version of Blood Moon as we had previously, or one updated for 'On Alert'?

    well i went through a test run
    soloed nimbus no change there
    but the tako fight was the old one where i only fight the deathlord

    i put my suggestions in the pts forum

    Yeah sure, whats the point in testing anything anymore on PTS!?

    Went there to see if anything could be tested and when trying to change my build, cuz I do that mid-fights sometimes on 1 toon, it wouldn't allow me to set a new build... o.O
    Making this example to point out once again that the PTS build lately differs more and more from the live build with every new patch, and this is prolly why almost every new patch seems to introduces more bugs than what gets fixed. If you guys keep this up the game will be totally unplayable in 6 months... LOL :rolleyes:

    Yeah, i as well wouldn't mind an update like that to the Halloween event. Personally with the whole concept behind the "soft cap" i find my self discouraged from doing a lot of these events. I've actually seen people with worse stats and gear out DPS me with the exact same move, which kind of makes it a moot point to getting the good loot from fighting big bads here or in the destroid event, so any actual changes to the event like setting or such would be a very welcome reason to jump back in. If it's the exact same as Jazinblaze said than i think i'll skip it this time around.


    I will mention though that there are a lot of really good suggestions in the thread she linked though.

    Just want to point out that with but a few exceptions rank is meaningless for loot. With the destroid event anyone who scored got the same reward, the box, what came out of the box was random. Score was meaningless.

    For the 13 undead heroes, score is also meaningless. Anyone who scores has the same chance for a device.

    Even the Halloween Takofanes event score rank was fairly limited. You could get Dark Aura and the costume drops at any rank.

    The one current exception to this is the old bloodmoon Tako fight, the one currently in test. Score has an impact. However, without costume drops and Dark Aura. There is little to earn beyond a zombat action figure and a flight cape.

    Wait, it's not even the tako that drops the dark aura?

    Yeah, pass. It'll be good for the new players, but I've killed him so many times that I'm debating asking for a mob rez, to save time. Hopefully this is just a test of team up, it'd be lame if the Halloween event ended up being the same thing we used to run every month.

    So far I found a bug with accepting team requests that it breaks your chat window and all the other options of channels for chat are pushed through the bottom of the chat window itself.

    Drops are the same of the old version and should really be updated to the on alert drops. Also for anyone asking its the early bloodmoon version.

    That's actually good to know because it's always been my experience to the contrary, the higher my score the better my loot as well as when the group i'm teamed with (or others just shouting out what they got) that the higher score gets the better score. But it still doesn't make me feel better about the soft cap when i have everything better stat and gear wise yet the AT has a good 3k+ damage over me on the same power.


    Athough to agree with every one else this seems like the same old event we've done before either yearly or monthly but the same old thing. A lot of people are asking for a variety of new rewards, but frankly i think a new halloween event would have gone much smoother with the crowds.

    I tested my backups in Blood Moon and found now they have shared cool down time.
    (If you equipped 5 and use one, remaining 4 can't be used till 1st one finish recharge...)

    I know Devs needed some kind of fix to this OP device, bust not few of us have already equipped several of them on one toon. And as those are bound, if someone have already equipped 5 backups, 4 will be just useless scrap...

    Please fix this not "bound" but "Tradeable" or "Bind on Account" like vehicle devices at least.
    Plz care about huge resource and time we spent to get those super rare Devices. T.T

    I don't see how it's calling bs on things. So far they are using blood moon, which will evidently be active for halloween, as a way to test to see if the team up feature is no longer bugging. I saw nothing about the rest of that stuff wasn't being worked on. I know FREON (not that I care at this time) is on the backburner, and Crush has expressed more of a desire to turn it into a proper raid.

    Personally agree with the assessment for FREON since the mechanics are more advanced than the typical PUG herpaderp run that Gravitar does.

    Have run 4 x crypts now and the following shows up.
    Strength, Will and Wrath of Tak all drop Q boxes and a random (modern) green/blue primary/secondary
    Strength will also drop a 10% catalyst and a recognition (relative to level I s'pose)
    Harbinger of Woe only drops obsolete stuff blue primary or secondary
    The harbinger is the slowest fight unless maybe you have Skarns Bane to stop him feeding on fear or whatever his form does.

    Interesting point.. I brought in my level 60 Backup Nighthawk just before I started on the Harbinger of woe and....
    He did nothing, even when I attacked the Harbinger the mighty way OP'd device did sod all. Perhaps he was confused by the pews. What a colossal let down!
    Lolz after all the guff about these things on PTS it has been such an awesomely damp squib I am stunned...

    It would be helpful, if we could get some specifics on what they are trying to test, given this is an old event. I am guessing that they might want us to concentrate on the open missions to make sure there is no deleveling bug.

    Most likely you had aggro'd a piece of furniture. Since objects can not be attacked by NPCs, but they do possess an aggro table, the basic result was your pet got confused because his AI was telling him something was aggroing him, but the system was saying he couldn't attack it.

    Deep cover operatives have overheard verbal reports of items in the design discussion stage being considered for an upcoming update. These ideas will need to be added to the schedule before they can be confirmed. Some are quicker tasks while others are much larger in scope, requiring many more resources to design and implement.

    I thought no one noticed and reported that...

    What's the point of having a PTS for something if nothing is taken in consideration?

    PLEASE FIX THAT FOR NEXT BLOODMOON EVENT !!!
