Which SSs for Electric Freeform?

I have an Electric toon from around launch whose superstats are Endurance and Recovery (as recommended back then).

I want to retcon/retrain (forget the difference) to take advantage of the third superstat added in On Alert, but all the research I've done offers a lot of dissenting opinions that I'm having trouble wading through. I see some Elec builds do Ego or Dex and most don't bother with Endurance as PSS anymore. I also read that having Endurance and Recovery both as superstats is a waste.

I'd like to build the toon mostly for DPS but with enough survivability that I can solo comfortably. I just got the two-year veteran reward gear too so I'm planning on rocking the Vanguard Heirloom Gear set on this toon if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

I would make End the Primary SS. it has a Specialization, Readiness, that makes End increase your equilibrium. It's pretty decent.
I would probably do Dex/Con for the other SS.

END is about energy management. Ionic Reverb scales of END.

    Same with REC.

    Thats about it. Energy management.

Vim, my electric toon, has End (163) as a Primary with Dex (139) and Ego (188) as secondaries. I used some of my talents and gear towards raising Con (110) and Rec (102) too. She has an insane amount of power with 276 max, 204 equilibrium, and gains +63 energy with each tick of her Ionic Reverberation (not to mention the energy returned from her Endurance Mastery). I run in Ranged Role with Concentration and Sparkstorm (Electric Personality advantage) Toggled on, Travel power on (Light Speed), and usually two pets (Munition Bots and Support Drones)... Despite these "power drains" I enjoy spamming Ball Lightning, Lightning Storm, and Gigabolt with wild abandon, and never need to use her Energy Builder or otherwise run out of juice.

She was built around the idea of speed, and boy does it just work! She's my fastest PvE toon, melting all foes with rapid dispatch. I have all her electric powers in various colors too, so it's quite an impressive light show of doom.

If you primarily rely on lightning arc (LA) for your damage, you can get by without end at all and using the typical INT/MSA setup.

For example, I can fire any maintain indefinitely with solid INT, MSA, and something to proc MSA, like force geyser, conviction, or hurl.

Now if you plan on relying on gigabolt, you may need to adjust that.

If you were to take ego as a primary, I would suggest dex as a secondary and shooting for 50% crit chance/100% sev respectively. Or you could go dex primarily and do the same thing, though dex alone would require effectively running vindicator for the crit chance boosts or an insane amount of dex to match the 50% chance rate.

Int is a decent primary itself, and the one I utilize the most for pvp application. Note that concentration scales off Int or Ego, so having at least one of them in a secondary stat is ideal if not primary.

Lately I've been on an END kick - its spec tree can up your equilibrium, CC resistance, grant energy (a % of max) after using your EB, and additional HP. If you're also taking REC, there's an END spec that makes REC grant HP regen.

I love melting Destroids with my LA.
    No endurance in sight. ;)

I've used Dex/End/Ego with a chunk of Rec gear, the build is very energy efficient and can bombard Mega D's at 100 ft (relatively safe) without ever using EB. I do have the energy on crit function (power swell) from Dex tree and Ball Lightning with triplicity is good for Ionic Reverb. Force Shield with Force Sheathe adv gives a bit of energy on being hit which helps too as does Accelerated Metabolism on the Lightning Storm.
With the dreaded Deadly Aim also from Dex I have a 100 and something% crit severity.

End for Ionic Reverb and a nice big power bar
Ego for ranged bonus and Concentration

My setup is similar to forrksake's, with Dex primary and End/Rec. With only a 15 Ego, I am not taking advantage of the Ego ranged damage boost, and am using Form of the Tempest rather than Concentration. I made the trade-off because it allows me to focus entirely on my SS's and still have a large energy pool for an Alpha.

My Lightning toon is EGO/Dex/End with some talents for Rec and 1 piece of secondary gear with +20 Rec as well, for a total of 46 Rec at the moment.

With the cost reduction from EGO (Insight) and cost reduction from the Heroic Utility piece, I can alpha strike with Ball Lightning + Fire All Weapons to obliterate bosses. I can also spam Lightning Storm forever, which is pretty much the only attack I use while doing missions...I have Lightning Arc, but I rarely use it, unless I have to kill those orbs without killing the citizens in that one UNITY mission.

I like the END tree more and more as well, it has some good utility for energy hungry sets that already have hard-hitting powers (like elec).

My Electricity toon is END/dex/con. Bring Ego to 70 with gear, take the Endurance spec that gives you equilibrium (so you don't have to worry about Recovery), and then focus on your SS's for crits, survivability, damage, and energy management.
