This is what I have so far, as I worked on the build from input in another thread.

I've been working on getting better gear for it, but so far that hasn't been easy (maybe Im doing something wrong).

The build has been doing great for me. I never have to use the EB. What I don't know, is if this would stay the same, if I replaced Secondary Super Stat Recovery with say SS Stat Constitution for even more health.

Or if I should go Dex as Main Super Stat.

I'd like to get a higher crit chance (I believe I'm at 55% crit chance without any real gear added in). Should I stay with Ego for that?

I'd also like to increase my Dodge and Avoidance (which I don't recall the numbers on them).

So would Staying Main SS Ego or switching to Dex be the best way to go?

55% crit chance is very good for a levelling build.
Conviction maybe redundant you got BCR/RR for a regular often use self heal.
Strikes me you may need a power up attack, something with a lil more kick. I've used chest beam on one muni toon and Dragons Claw on others, others are fond of Sniper Rifle + smoke nade combo.
Don't see a block enhancer, Force Shield with Force Sheathe adv might be a good one to take as it will help with energy return.
If you do go for Dex as primary SS, Deadly Aim (secondary SS give crit severity bonus) and Power Swell (Energy on crit) are recommended esp if you ditch recovery.

Y'know most players asking for advice select a truck load of attacks and no heals or energy unlock, you trying to be different or something?

When you meet an Invuln or FF + IDF baddy you are really gonna be yearning for a power up attack, Lolz I once took on Crusher with a muni toon (lev 40 or thereabouts) and I only had Rocket launcher and Assault Rifle as STA. It took a loooooong time! Sometimes you really need a spammable spike attack.

What I'm trying for is concept and effective :)

Regen/Agility Defenses...that's needed for the concept. Hence all the Heals and LR. :)

I could maybe drop Conviction and rely on Resurgence and BCR. I do find being able to have Resurgence available when Masterful Dodge is on cooldown, very handy.

Trying to stick with Dual Pistols and Chain attacks for concept, but a martial arts attack would fit concept as well.

In the other thread I recall being told Bullet Beatdown is better on single targets than Two Gun Mojo, but I'm finding 2GM to be better...maybe BB needs Strength Stated to be better?

2GM builds up Concentration faster and seems to just do more damage period.

What's a good spammable spike attack to pick?

Also, so what I'm hearing, is losing REC (this is a level 40 character) and just relying on Killer Instinct, won't cover the end issues?

I'm pretty fond of a muni/martial arts build I threw together recently, based *mainly* on crits and maintains. Builds stacks of focus with AR (Or Pulse Beam Rifle, with my original build) and one hundred hands, and then nails em with dragon kick. Uses night warrior, parry, bcr and dodge/avoidance gear specializations to be fairly survivable. I also grabbed sniper rifle, so I have a big opener from stealth when I can't close in with Shadow Strike.

But yeah, you could easily swap one hundred hands for bullet beatdown, take dragon kick (+adv for the avoidance if you want) or dragon uppercut, and use form of the tempest with overdrive. Seems any ranged maintain will proc it, while melee ones (such as one hundred hands) do not, but the Rush buff counteracts that, plus you'll be getting energy from crits.

Also, doing the UNITY missions for six days will get you enough recognition to get all three primary slots filled, and probably gather secondaries from drops. Or you can do UNITY and UNITY 2 missions, and get it done in three days.

EGO/Dex is one of the highest potential crit chance combinations, and you effectively need the ego for your killer instinct and concentration scaling.

You could probably get away without recover as a secondary if you can still fit some in so you have enough energy between procs of concentration/killer instinct.

While I'm fond of the look, until muni gets a much needed buff, I find the damage numbers abysmal personally.

How much is enough recover? If I focused on Recovery in talents, would that be enough?

If the point of Dragon Kick or Dragon Uppercut is to have a strong Single Target attack, would it still be a strong Single Target attack without Strength as a Super Stat?

Chasing the middling additive bonus from high STR if you're running in Hybrid and have a Form (especially a melee form) and have decent Offense . . . is probably Fool's Gold. That being said, if you cannot do without the 20% extra additive, just bump STR to 70 as a non-SS, or some approximation (think around 45-50 is +14%). Past 70, the bonus is marginal. Case in point: STR 70 = +20% melee damage; STR 200 = +30% melee damage.

With REC and using mainly maintained powers, i would take Overdrive instead of Killer Instinct.

Resurgance scales on CON i think .. i would prefer taking Masterful Dodge.

Else i meanwhile love Rocket as Alpha Strike, so i would take Rocket and Imbue instead
of your last 2 Powers .. but i don't know whats you reason to take those powers.

Else personally i just go EGO / CON / REC .. ok the Crit Chance is lower, but you can still
reach 38,5 % just from gear. Thats however with level 40 gear, for leveling i prefer going
DEX / CON / REC and do a retcon with 40.

The reason for the chain powers is concept. That's why they're the last two powers in the build.

I have Masterful Dodge and I have Resurgence both of which work for concept (defense wise, she's agility/regen...think X-23 meets Spider-Girl), and I've found it nice to have two active defenses. I use Masterful Dodge first, and then Resurgence when Masterful Dodge is on Cool Down...as an added bonus Resurgence gives me Enrage for more damage.

Though, I am wondering if DEX/Ego/Con, DEX/Ego/Rec, EGO/Dex/Rec or EGO/Dex/Con would be better.

Currently I'm using EGO/Dex/Rec. What I'd like to do is increase my Dodge/Avoidance, without sacrificing damage to much.

I'm hearing having a powerful attack in the build, and I could get rid of Conviction for one, I just don't know which powerful single target attack I should be using.

Looking at Unarmed attacks, but they all scale with Strength, so I seem to need to get to 70 strength with gear to make those be the powerful ST attack.

Masterful dodge and resurgence are pvp staples in the current system, so I'd say they're worth taking, even my pve builds utilize them after having used them so extensively. They aren't as nice without protector mastery, but still very effective.

I would strongly recommend Ego as a primary - you'll hit higher crit chance with the same amount of dex thanks the to spec tree. Dex does however provide some synergy with LR, however at the same time, LR will already put you heavily into diminishing returns and make the benefits from particular aspects from the dex tree minimal.

Ego surge is one of the best active offenses available, and would swap that and take at least the adv.

You're already hurting on damage, I wouldn't bother taking the dodge/avoidance advantages on the attacks, as I previously stated, you're already into diminishing returns and you'll get more out of the damage.

TGM and lead tempest are pretty darn underpowered in their existing state, so that's something to consider as well.

I'd be weary of taking conviction and bcr - as you're not running msa and you'll have solid dodge, you should be fine with just the bcr and having resurge on backup for any heavy duty heals.

Unless mindlink is just a "fun" power or thematic, I'd drop that for something more useful as well.

I'm willing to give up conviction.

Wouldn't Ego surge cancel out FoTT, since it's an Energy Form and FoTT is a Form? Or do Energy Forms only cancel out other Energy Forms?

I was thinking with Dex as primary it would give me better Dodge/Avoidance than Ego as Primary. Which I'd like to get the best possible in that area.

Replaced out the Doge/Avoidance from Lead Tempest though.

Energy Forms are things like Ego Surge, Shadow Form, Kinetic Manipulation, that sorta thing, but they aren't mutually exclusive. Forms are toggled abilities, consisting of enrage, form of the master/tempest/swordsman/tiger, concentration, manipulator, compassion, aspect of the bestial, aspect of the infernal, and inertial dampening field, those are mutually exclusive. Every build should have one, that works with their powers and such.

Since you use form of the tempest, I would stick with dex as the primary stat, since tempest scales off that. Otherwise, ego can get you around the same amount of crit/severity, though dex gives you dodge/avoidance options. HOWEVER, as the other poster said, since you have lightning reflexes, stacking dodge/avoidance in your powers aren't as effective. I use Night Warrior passive, so take the extra defenses where I can get em.

I also notice you don't have a block enhancer, which some pure dps builds choose to skip, but I always take. I am fond of parry + elusive monk because it grants some knockback resist, and a bit of dodge/avoidance. Combining that with a few reliable melee attacks (bullet beatdown, dragon kick in your case) can be a good way to stay alive when a boss decides to start pounding on you and you need to buy some time. Though if you stick with LR, i'd say take force shield + adv for the energy gain.

Here, tossed together a build similar to one I use, more offense oriented. Took int as a secondary stat for the cost decrease and scaling with overdrive. Could switch them out for ego and killer instinct, but I like int.

I am a fan of lashing dragon's tail, as it gives so *much* avoidance, but it may be subject to diminishing returns. I would also take Break the Trigger for bullet beatdown, turning it into a fully melee attack, and getting the full benefit of focus, but that's just me. You'd also wanna grab the advantage for TK shield, though I don't recall what the amount of defense it grants is, or how it's changed with On Alert (since it seems like there is a lot more defense to go around these days)

CO has a pretty intense diminishing returns model on additive damage buffs such as Forms, Toggles, Superstats, Offensive Passives, +Offense, and the benefit of STR for a melee power.

This means that ignoring STR on a build such as yours, as long as it has some of the other additive buffs will have very very little impact on your actual damage output.

Also keep in mind that critical hits, as an overall increase in DPS, are every bit as dependent on Severity as they are on Rate.

A 60% crit chance with 80% severity is a net damage increase of 48%.

A 50% crit chance with a 120% severity is a net damage increase of 60%.

I tend to prefer Dex over Ego as a primary SS (with specific exceptions) but your mileage may vary.

With your current gear those numbers show Dex primary as the (slightly) superior choice for you. Approximately 3% more damage from crits, and no significant difference from OFFENSE.

that is based on DEX only gives 50% to ranged damage while Concentration that is based
on EGO gives 100% to ranged.

I got to tinkering with this, my first 40 back at release was Munitions. Back when mini-mines were thermonuclear devices. Build currently has all kinds of garbage in it and this thread opened my eyes on a few things it was missing.

    Name:Doc Holliday

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Ego (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1: Quick Trigger
    Level 6: Agile
    Level 9: Indomitable
    Level 12: Tireless
    Level 15: Impresario
    Level 18: Wordly
    Level 21: Shooter

    Powers:
    Level 1: Gunslinger
Level 1: Assault Rifle (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 6: Concentration
    Level 8: Killer Instinct
Level 11: Gatling Gun (Rank 2, Listen to Reason)
    Level 14: Lock N Load
Level 17: Implosion Engine (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 20: Targeting Computer (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 23: Regeneration (Rank 2, Rank 3)
Level 26: Force Shield (Rank 2, Rank 3, Force Sheathe)
Level 29: Strafing Run (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 32: Resurgence (Rank 2)
    Level 35: Conviction
Level 38: Smoke Grenade (Escape Artist)

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Flight (Rank 2, Rank 3)
    Level 35: Teleportation (Rank 2)

    Specializations:
    Ego: Insight (3/3)
    Ego: Aggression (2/2)
    Ego: Exploit Opening (2/2)
    Ego: Sixth Sense (3/3)
    Warden: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Warden: Ruthless (2/2)
    Warden: Elusive (2/2)
    Warden: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Guardian: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Guardian: Ruthless (2/2)
    Guardian: Find the Mark (2/3)
    Guardian: The Best Defense (3/3)
    Mastery: Ego Mastery (1/1)

I take warden and guardian as a personal preference, substituting more intelligent choices there is probably advised. Tossed in strafing run for thematic reasons. Resurge and Conviction together are prob overkill and Resurgence could be swapped for unbreakable or masterful dodge. An overall better defensive choice would be Invul with dodge gear, BCR w/ adv and masterful dodge.

Okay. Getting rid of the idea of the chains. How's this?

I have to wonder, if the point of Dragon Kick is purely for the Rush buff for energy return, since all of your other attacks come from munitions.

My suggestion is to get Concentration instead and replace with Sniper Rifle. With EGO/DEX and Killer Instinct/Concentration on a pure munitions toon, all you need is to talent for REC. 30 REC is enough, leaving you to SS for CON for extra survivability. Basically you need not spend a single point outside of your 3 SS otherwise.

Yeah...playing the build lately, it has seemed that Two Gun Mojo has been giving me better damage than Bullet Beatdown.

No real testing, but the feel of it has me thinking 2GM is doing more for me damage wise, while Bullet Beatdown is just a nice concept driven power.

I have Dragon Kick, because it was suggested I take a big burst damage power (Dragon Kick or Dragon Uppercut) to compensate for Munitions damage.
