Frost Mech Mk. II: Ice + Pet Build Feedback

My son likes to play, but is only interested in his general character concept, not the fiddly design aspects. He leaves that to me

He wanted a robot character with Ice/Cold powers, but didn't want to have to deal with shattering ice objects. Since he was a robot I thought it would be appropriate to add in some mechanical helpers. He doesn't like to die and has been happy with Regen on another character. Thought that SS Con and Resurgence would benefit him there too. Figuring to get some gear for Int and End, also for Cost Discounts.

How does it look so far? I've wondered if he should have End as a SS to fire off big typhoon blasts. Also, never really done Pets before. Is there some threshold number of pets one should have (2, 4, 6+) before the Commander Tree really becomes useful? I can't see him having anything other than the Munis and Support Drones. Not wed to Energy Storm as a final power if something else seems more useful.

I can't really see how you want to get your stacks from Overdrive?
You need Maintain or Toggle powers to trigger the stacks.
Overdrive isn't the best energy unlock in the game, I had a hard time making it work for my PA.

If I read it right Overdrive should kick in if he maintains Avalanche past half way.

I have a lot of pet master builds and I like to do a cut off of 3+ pets to use the Commander tree. Anything less and you are really relying on yourself to be the main source of damage and other trees would work better for you IMO. The Vindicator tree works well with the Guardian tree.

    Good luck and happy hunting.

Only thing I could say about this build is I would go with Dex over Ego, as Dex doesn't see diminishing returns and you can get decent damage by getting Ego to around 70 and not have to SS it.
