Invulnerability Force Tank

Hi all, making my first alt and decided to do something different so I'm making a tank - problem is I have no idea how to make a good tank in this game.

I'm aiming for pure defense - including some support, CC and utility - damage isn't a big concern to me. I would also rather play from range although I realize that's not as optimal as a melee tank. Conceptually I would like to stick to force projection if possible. This is what I have so far but it's really just a bare skeleton of a build since I need a lot of help to figure out what I'm doing:

I'm usually pretty good at making solid endgame builds.

Force Tank is a pretty tricky build, though I'm sure some people would disagree. Though I'll tell you right away, an invuln force tank I just don't personally find optimal.

Just going to make another post with the build and explanation.

One thing i can tell you at least : forget Protection Field or Mindfull Reinforcement, since Bubbles
get full damage before your mitigation, and so they are down after seconds, while without them
you may have taken just 50-100 damage.

    Stuff Below Derp...

    PowerHouse (Link to this build)

    Name:

    Archetype: Freeform

    Super Stats:
    Level 6: Constitution (Primary)
    Level 10: Dexterity (Secondary)
    Level 15: Recovery (Secondary)

    Talents:
    Level 1:
    Level 6:
    Level 9:
    Level 12:
    Level 15:
    Level 18:
    Level 21:

    Powers:
    Level 1: Force Bolts
Level 1: Force Shield (Force Sheathe)
Level 6: Force Eruption (Rank 2, Gravitational Polarity, Challenging Strikes)
    Level 8: Defiance
Level 11: Mighty Leap (Crippling Challenge, Nailed to the Ground)
    Level 14: Whirlwind (Vortex)
Level 17: Bountiful Chi Resurgence (Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki)
    Level 20: Masterful Dodge
    Level 23: Inertial Dampening Field
    Level 26:
    Level 29:
    Level 32:
    Level 35:
    Level 38:

    Travel Powers:
    Level 6: Acrobatics (Versatility)
    Level 35:

    Specializations:
    Constitution: Fuel My Fire (3/3)
    Constitution: Tough (3/3)
    Constitution: Deflection (3/3)
    Constitution: Armored (1/2)
    Protector: Fortified Gear (3/3)
    Protector: Bulwark (2/2)
    Protector: Debilitating Challenge (2/2)
    Protector: Defensive Expertise (3/3)
    Vindicator: Aggressive Stance (2/2)
    Vindicator: Merciless (3/3)
    Vindicator: Modified Gear (2/2)
    Vindicator: Mass Destruction (3/3)
    Mastery: Protector Mastery (1/1)

Pretty straight forward, whirlwind the most central enemy(love that power btw) and mighty leap in. Tap your shield, charge a full eruption to make a hotspot inside all those goon noobs and tap own them.

    Simple enough...

I gave you Defiance instead of Invuln, since your primary is constitution the defensive boost is just too good, besides you will get your flat reduction from IDF.

I changed out Ego for Dex. Dex will give you overall more offense than ego because of crits, just slap 70 or so ego from a secondary offensive item plus a little loving from your primary and you should be golden(Or use a few talents to help that along and save primary gear slots for dex just get EGO to around 70 total rest DEX), rest Dex in offensive plus obvious gambler mod. Also Dex has the added benefit of comboing with that sweet deflection specialization. Speaking of specs redid them a little, gave you vindicator tree as it is just too good and who says you can't do a little damage tanking(Merciless + Dex SS = feel mah dmg while I laugh at you doing none lul).

Rest is your choice, but you don't need many points for this build, athletics with vers is a solid travel power. Don't put any points in Defiance/Masterful Dodge/Inertial Dampening Field obviously, since it's a waste. Though in the end you will probably have points left over. I would suggest getting unbreakable rank 3 or field surge rank 3 for more active defense, up to you that's why I didn't add that.

Also, you don't need Knock or Hold resistance really, if you are being held and knocked, you are doing your job obviously. Besides simple item cc resist will cover most of that.

Forgive my typos and sloppy typing, I'm tired...
