Stacking Defiant without Defiance

Just out of curiosity, if you alternate between Defensive Combination and Mighty Kick--both with the Advantage that gives Defiance--can you get two stacks? It seems like you're supposed to be able to, but I don't know how to tell in-game.

Thanks!

Pretty sure neither ability can take your Defiant stacks above 1. D:
Dasher@Tool-box, donning his armor to prance into battle and blitz the enemy! No joke!
Cupid@Tool-box, stunningly radiant stag ready to play matchmaker between villain and arrow!
Vixon@Tool-box, frighteningly eager to summon despair for his adversaries!
Jebin Zedalu@Tool-box, elementalist weaponmaster. ...One of these things is not like the others!

I believe it's like Enraged!. Gives a 1 stack if you don't have one, or refreshes the stack if you have any.

Doesn't quite work that way. With both those powers, if you have one or more Defiant on you, the stack is just refreshed. So if you do have the Defiance passive, these powers can be used to extend the time the buff lasts if you somehow don't take hits for a while. As long as there is something for you to hit you can refresh what you have. But even together, you won't get more than one Defiant on you. The attack will see that it's there and refresh it regardless of where it originally came from.

So, 1) is there any way to get more than one stack of defiant without defiance, 2) is there any reason to have both Mighty Kick and Defensively Combo to keep that one stack steady, or would one or the other be enough to keep it constant?

    1) Defiance is required for any more then one stack. The same rule applies for Concentration.

    2) One should suffice. Defensive Combo gives a ton of threat, so if you are planning to tank this should work for you.
