Like many in CO, I am a total addict of the costume creator. I spend so much time (and g!) in the tailor.

I am also a huge comics fan, and have been for about 30 years now. My preference is for iconic, classic heroes and I always attempt to make this type of toon in CO.

Here are a few of my toons for your perusal. Once I get round to it I will update this thread with a few more.

Swashbuckler is a highly trained human who is inspired by the old swashbuckling films of Errol Flynn, Douglas Fairbanks, etc. He has many costumes, but these are my favourite 2.............. http://photobucket.com/champions-swashbuckler

Britannia is the patron goddess of Britain. She's kind of a cross between Wonder Woman and Thor......... http://photobucket.com/champions-britannia

The Aquarian is my disgraced captain of the Atlantean royal guard and is my homage to Aquaman. Here is his main, superhero costume and his Atlantean Royal Guard ceremonial armour costume.. http://photobucket.com/champions-aquarian

Kitten Kaboodle is my athletic, cat-themed superheroine. She's a tribute to all the classic sidekicks from the comics.. http://photobucket.com/champions-kitten

I hope you like them:smile:

Classic indeed looks classic, love the look of all of them and its hard for me to pickup a favorite.

I think I am a bit biased towards Britannia, great use of the wizard cloak!! I am yet to use it on something myself.

    Awesome job in here!

Thanks! I actually made Britannia before the wizard set came out and was very pleasantly surprised by the cloak.

I love your heroine Shalassa. She and The Aquarian should team up for a cc sometime. I made an armoured version of him too and I also came to the conclusion that the dragon armour and roinesh pieces work well for heroes from the depths:smile:

I have to say that I am not a big fan of last 2, but... first 2 are just amazing. I love everything about them. Colours, costume parts, even gender somehow seems right with each of them. Good job.

I love them all, but Swashbuckler is particularly well done. Aquarius is a close second. I'm also a big fan of classic homage heroes. Captain Millennium is obviously an homage to Superman, Captain Marvel and other classic flying strongman boy scouts.

Hahaha would be awesome to do that... hopefully I can send you a holler when there's an aquatic themed CC or maybe couple themed. I loved aquarian as well, its such a great costume, so classic and good at the same time.

Excellent! I'll send you a friend request in-game:smile:What's your handle in-game? I've also just edited the original post and included The Aquarian's Atlantean Guard Ceremonial armour outfit to the screenshots.

And thanks to you doll and cptmillenium for your kind comments.

As much as I liked the old Britannia, I love the new look more. Awesome work! I love Swashbuckler, as he reminds me of Witchfinder, my on period toon, so I am kind of biased  The Aquarian is also very good, but sadly Kitten doesn't work for me as I see too many kittenish toons. Overall I have to say I love your creations, but Britannia remains my favourite. I still can't come up with a look for my Britannia that I like half as much as yours :frown:

I just checked, all links work fine for me.

However, Photobucket crapped out on me the other day, couldn't upload anything until I restarted my computer. Might want to give that a shot... if you haven't already.

As for the original topic, very nice work. I really like the Aquarian armor and you are right, the Dragon armor looks great for an aquatic character.

What is this! It's a conspiracy and I blame CORP. That RPing mafia must have hacked my photobucket account and done something to The Aquarian:eek: They're scared of my awesomeness and blah blah, something something paypal. Blah blah, I never complain *froths at the mouth*

Seriously though, I don't really know what to do about this now. The link works for me and I know that it works for velis. Thanks for the info though sockmunkey

I can see 'em all just fine.

Incidentally, I think the Aquarian looks better with the actual chest piece than with the Holo Hex armor.

    These are very cool!

LOVE the Swashbuckler! You got the old 30's style adventure look down in that one.

Britannia is a very good looking heroine. Got the Brit theme down for sure. Have you considered going up one or two hues in the red and blue? seems rather subdued, and generally "patriot" type characters wear their colors and flags "LOUD AND PROUD!!!"

I think Aquarian is very creative! Good toon with a good theme.

Kitten was the only hangup for me, but only because I'm not a fan of feline characters...except Catwoman ;) So I'll render no judgement.

Hi ccarmichael, thanks for posting in the thread. Glad you like Swashbuckler, The Aquarian and Britannia.

To be honest, Britannia is my favourite toon. I'm very happy both with her costume and backstory(I'll post it if anyone is interested). In game her costume is slightly brighter than in the screenshots posted. However, only very slightly. Us Brits can be Patriotic, but we remain a bit more subdued than our American friends. Stiff upper lip and all that, pip pip, what what, chim chiminee, chim chiminee, chim chim cheroo .

Nobody seems to like Kitten Kaboodle that much:frown:I really only made her because of the name (kit and kaboodle, get it?). I think I'll just put her in a sack with a rock and throw her into a river. I blame you all ;-P

:eek:Wow, that's a little harsh:eek:. You could just push her off a cliff and make it look like an accident. No need to waste a sack and a rock.

For what it's worth, she's not that bad. She's just... I don't know, a little plain? Or perhaps people are just jaded towards tights-wearing, cat-earred champions.

Love them (aside from the kitten as everybody else, apparently).

I actually love the subdued colors of Britannia, but hasn't she too tight a waist? Maybe it's the pic...

The Aquarian is very cool, and I agree with a previous poster that the Holo Hex armour is not so fitting, you could just get rid of it and keep the tights.

...by the way: what is that tight piece (chest and legs)? I love the look you gave it, so I guess it must be a smart colouring of a piece I previously saw, but I cannot think of what it is.

The waist is smaller than I would like it. The problem here is the waist slider on female toons. It doesn't change the waist size like on male toons, it only changes hip size. It's impossible to have a strong, muscular female toon with a waist size to match:mad:

I might just do that. Thanks for the input.

If I remember correctly it's called "scales".

I've added another costume to Swashbuckler's screenies. It's a sort of homage to V (from V for Vendetta), but more flamboyant.
