Please help name my hero

Usually I am tearing my hair out trying to come up with COOL super hero names, and this is one of those instances. Originally this guy's name was "Tech Raven," but there are just too many Ravens, Crows, Hawks, Falcons and "Birds." I need an AWESOME name for this character.

Imagine a Batman-like combat M.O, only instead of fists he uses a light blade. His specialty is vehicle warfare, he's able to cloak and overall he's dexterous as all hell. Problem is, his name currently sucks. Please help me make him a cooler persona.

I feel like "Night" is used a lot, too. As is Shadow. Good suggestions, though.

If you want to avoid the cliche avian names, you have to go with a more obscure bird (like for my PA toon, he is Titanium Tick Bird since my main is rhino themed. They are the birds that hang out on rhinos.), or do away with the wings altogether. My batman inspired vigilante is The Night Skunk.

I was going to do something like "Bird of Prey" or "Raptorwing," but I don't know about it.

Something to do with raptors could work. I dont see many bird themed heroes go that route, usually the lizard themes go with raptor. People forget sometimes that the velociraptor was named after the bird.

"Raptor" also refers to birds of prey, which is why I think that would work quite well. Raptor by itself doesn't seem too awesome, though.

Aphotic ... something? (it means "without light")

or simply Aphoticar. Sounds more villain like, perhaps.

    Dusk Strix.

The Psychopomp: Psychopomps (from the Greek word ψυχοπομπός - psuchopompos, literally meaning the "guide of souls")[1] are creatures, spirits, angels, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage. Frequently depicted on funerary art, psychopomps have been associated at different times and in different cultures with horses, Whip-poor-wills, ravens, dogs, crows, owls, sparrows, cuckoos, and harts. From Wikipedia.

A bird name I only seen seldom used is Shrike. You could do like Shrouded Shrike or something.

Or if you want to avoid birds altogether... FACE STABBER. It has to be in caps.

I like Nevermore. In fact I REALLY like Nevermore. I was thinking of using it, but I didn't know if I'd be the only one to really like it or not. You've won my heart, good stuff.

Jorifice, you've made some great suggestions too; "The Corvid" was one I liked, since I actually didn't know what one was without looking up the link. That would do Corvids some justice I think. You're free to use "The Convocation." :P

Now, when one day I make a Night Avenger, I'm going to have to name him FACE STABBER!!!!! (Yes, the exclamation marks are part of the name.)

Make sure he only uses kick attacks.

And well after I started using bird of prey as the name of my main I learned the name for a group of those birds: A Harassment of Harriers.

Hmm, my friend is apparently unhappy with the new name I have (Nevermore). I might switch to The Corvid, but I'm always open to more ideas.

I've been using this before coming to the forums for help. Somehow "Black Man" didn't sound right.
