Fix Your Slow Garbage Servers

I'm sick and tired of (SERVER NOT RESPONDING)!

I'm unsubbing and I want a refund, dead serious, give me a refund for my $30. Completely and totally unplayable. I am having no issues with any other game, I have checked my connect and network, ran several tests, I am having no latency issues on my end.

This is your end, your fault, fix the freaking problem, or at the very least admit you messed up!

I've had no issues. Played a lot over the weekend and just played for 30 minutes without any issues.

It's clearly not a problem with the servers since 99% of people, including myself, have had no problems.

You understand that the way the Internet works is that in between your PC and the destination (Champions server) there are numerous other intervening routers, right? A problem there would be completely outside of Cryptic's control and affect a small number of people, as appears to be the case here.

AFAIK for some reason for a few days at a time players will have problems with (SERVER NOT RESPONDING) and then the problem seems to resolve itself. I'm not really sure if it their servers, some obscure bug in the code, or something to do with ISPs. It's happened 2-3 times for me and literally makes the game unplayable. It seems to affect some players for not others, but usually more than one player at a time. Hopefully PWE is collecting information on server timeouts and working on it.

Wow .. really ? Maybe they created the lag especially for you to get rid of you, and i would
    fully understand that

There is another thread RIGHT next to this one, and ANOTHER thread in the gameplay issues forum full of people with the same problem. So yes, I'm the only one, good job.

You don't speak for other people, I highly doubt you can account for 99% of people playing, you can only account for 1 person, yourself. FYI I have talked to a LOT of people with the problem in game, I have shouted in zone "Anyone having server not responding issues!?" and I will get plenty of "Yes" responses.

I don't want people to come into my rant thread and discount the possibility that they screwed something up. That's not how you fix things, I want a dev to come in and hash this out instead of completely ignoring the matter.

If you won't be helpful, just get lost, I have gone through all of the channels to fix this problem, at the very least the devs could come half way for me.

Thank you for being understanding stellario, I'll wait and see if it subsides after a while, hopefully you're right. Sorry if I sound irate, I'm just really frustrated.

Does anyone know if the CO and the STO servers are housed in the same location?

If so, and if STO remains playable even when CO is totally unplayable, then that means the problem lies with the Champions servers (or something on Cryptic's end).

You know, some actual information about your connection problems instead of a venting would be a more effective way to use the forums... :/

This is CO's forums, not facebook.

so um why didn't you post in it?

    1) no he dose not

    2) I'm not having any issues currently either so there's 2 I played as part of several pugs over the weekend no one mentioned server problems so there's at least another 10 people (tho as I cant name them so feel free to take with a pinch of salt if you wish)

    3) dose it not seem a bit hypocritical to say he cant speak for others then do pretty much the exact same thing your self?

Ranting dose not get things fixed if anything it gets peoples backs up

This is the player forums expect replys to your threads and if your going to rant expect people to call you out, rant back or be just down right sarcastic.

If you want a official response submit a support ticket
If you won't be helpful, just get lost, I have gone through all of the channels to fix this problem, at the very least the devs could come half way for me.

Which channels would they be? Have you submitted a ticket if so you could try quoteing it in your post so if a dev drops by and sees your post they can go look at your ticket.

Have you tryed posting a polite request on the forums or did you go strait for rant?

of the things you have done
I am having no issues with any other game, I have checked my connect and network, ran several tests, I am having no latency issues on my end.

most are the eqivilent of saying "I did stuff" post the results of your tests (for one you cant have no latency every one has latency)

No sure I would assume so.

No sure I would assume so.

I'll have to get STO patched up and try that out, then. If the problem is actually on MY end (or a hop somewhere in between) then that would absolutely prevent me from getting a decent connection to *either* game.

Otherwise, if one is reachable and the other isn't, then that's irrefutable proof that Cryptic needs to fix their ****.

Its proof though not neciserly proof that its the server at fault it would however mean if it was a iffy piece of hardware (such as a router) it would be within cryptics power to fix it unlike if it was a problem between you and them which places it in no mans land.

Also for those having issues take a look in this thread http://co-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=60436 its a bit out of date but could still hold some handy information to track down the cause of your issue.

Seems interesting, but sadly nettest tells me things I already know.

    My connection is fine.

In fact, I logged in to day, was in club caprice, walking around RPing with no problems. I decided, hey everything seems to be fine I'll do an on alert!

Queue up an On Alert, and once I load into it rubberbanding and server not responding starts up. When I somehow manage to fight through the horrid lag and finish the Alert, when I load back into club caprice the latency problem follows me there. So I decide, hey it's lagging, let me check my network and whatnot. I alt-tab and everything is running fine, no slowdown or anything, it's only with champions online.

So why would the problems only start when I change to a different instance, in this case an On Alert, does this honestly sound like a network problem?

No, it isn't, guess what I'm doing right now? Downloading a movie at high speed while talking on skype to a friend and typing up this silly post in a thread I'm being chastised in all with zero connectivity problems.

Just, after seeing the facts of the problem, lining them all up and looking at them you can see it's not on my end.

Latency issues should not be reproducible in that way, to just change instances to make it start going haywire is a big red flag, network connectivity issues are either there and constant or not.
