For those of you who wasn't too impressed with Night Warrior, another alternative is going with Quarry, which offers an Int, Ego and Avoidance buff, as well as more dodge to boot. This is for you hybrid types who use physical damage.

Build by championBuilder 0.4.1

SS Primary: Dex
SS Secondary: Str and Int

Powers:
Level 1: Hawk's Talons
Level 6: Parry -- The Elusive Monk
Level 6: Swinging -- Flippin'
Level 8: Masterful Dodge
Level 11: Form of the Tempest -- Rank 2
Level 14: Evasive Maneuvers -- Sleight Of Mind, Rank 2
Level 17: Quarry -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 20: Conviction -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 23: Bountiful Chi Resurgence -- Rank 2, Resurgent Reiki
Level 26: Dragon's Claws -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 29: Molecular Self-Assembly
Level 32: Smoke Grenade -- Escape Artist
Level 35: Throwing Blades -- Rank 2, Rank 3
Level 35: Acrobatics
Level 38: Smoke Bomb Lunge -- Sudden Strike

Now super statting mainly falls on your playstyle and whether you want to use more ranged, more melee or a fair mix of the two. My build, for example, is mainly focused on melee with minimal ranged. So I went with STR super stat over EGO.

If you have every slot filled with a unique, a mix of Rank 5 and 6 mods you should be able to stat with the following below.

Melee Focused/Minimal Ranged
Suggested Form: Focus
SS Primary Dex 225
SS Secondary Str 200
SS Secondary Int 151 + Quarry x3 = 201
Con 125
Rec 40
Ego 25 + Quarry x3 = 75
End 20

Ranged Focused/Minimal Melee
Suggested Form: Concentration
SS Primary Dex 225
SS Secondary Ego 175 + Quarry x3 = 225
SS Secondary Int 150 + Quarry x3 = 200
Con 100
Str 75
Rec 40
End 20

Mixed Melee/Ranged (Jack of All Trades in Damage)
Suggested Form: Focus
SS Primary Dex 225
SS Secondary Int 151 + Quarry x3 = 201
SS Secondary Ego 150 + Quarry x 3 = 200
Con 125
Str 75
Rec 40
End 20

Just remember, 151 Intelligence will get you +50 Int and Ego with 3 stacks of the Quarry buff. As for Dex, I usually aim for 225 for 2 reasons:
1. It puts Focus at 10% per stack
2. Even if your not using Focus, 225 Dex still makes it easier to reach 50% crit chance.

If you are going to focus on melee, IMO way of the warrior would be a far superior passive, in fact, unless you use the stealth portion of night warrior to good effect, way of the warrior gives more damage/dodge/avoidance as far as I know.

It is however, an interesting concept, to use quarry for melee.

I agree, if your focusing on melee only. This is for hybrids (ranged/melee), especially those Night Warriors who want an alternative with better dodge/avoidance and easier access to stats. If you check out the Night Avenger AT, you'll notice that that the devs were aiming for a hybrid with Night Warrior/Concentration and a mix of melee/ranged powers.

If I wanted to use unarmed instead of the fighting claws, do I simply have to swap the claw attacks with equivalent unarmed martial arts attacks (perhaps righteous fists and dragon uppercut)....or is it a bit more complicated than that?

Also, wouldn't ricochet shot be better than throwing blades?

You should be able to swap out the equivalent abilities no problem if you want to go full unarmed.

As far as Ricochet Throw vs Throwing Blades, I brought up the same question in another thread which was best answered in this post.

    Hope that helps :)

It does help :-) Thanks for the link Ben, you're a gentleman and a scholar.....that's probably the most understandable and concise explanation of the difference between the two that I have seen:biggrin:
