So, my current dinosaur of a computer has gotten away with running COH... But it's literally impossible to even launch CO on this thing. I will spare you the horrific specs.

I'm ordering up a completely new computer next week.

I found something pretty cheap on Amazon that I'm seriously considering.
RAM: 8GB DDR3 SDRAM

Storage Controller: SATA II

Hard Drive: 1TB - SATA III - 7200 rpm

Optical Storage: 24X DVD?RW Dual-Layer Super-Multi Drive

Graphics Controller: NVIDIA GeForce GT520 - PCI Express x 16

Video Memory: 1GB Dedicated Video Memory

Digital Video Standard: HDMI / DVI / VGA

Power Supply: 500 Watt - AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz)

Audio Output: Integrated - High Definition 5.1 Channel Audio

Processor: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi / 3.6GHz (Max 3.8GHz)

Processor Socket: Socket AM3+

Processor Main Features: Turbo Core

Cache Memory: 4 MB L2 Cache

Motherboard: AMD 760G Chipset
Based on the customer reviews, all I would need to do is replace the video card.

I'm looking at this one.

GEForce GT 440 with 810 MHz core clock
1024 MB 128-bit DDR3 memory
DirectX 11 Support Done Right
Blu-ray 3D Support
NVIDIA CUDA Technology
HDMI 1.4a Connector
NVIDIA PhysX Technology
PCI-Express 2.0

I love the bundle because it saves me the hassle of derping my way through assembling the machine myself, and it comes with Windows 7 64 bit, a keyboard and a mouse to boot.

I'm also planning on picking up this monitor.

Now.. Where you guys come in.

Will this setup be able to run CO smoothly on high to max settings?

Or

Am I being swindled and taken in by an illusion of convenience?

Built something like that and I'm having no problems. Even with Vista. Go for it.

Better get that card, there are only 2 left!

Oh, and keep the one you take out as a spare, I'm sure glad I kept my old one when the last one died last month, it's running right now cause I'm too cheap to get another while it still runs things.

This computer is $80 cheaper and you won't have to replace the video card...

Here's another one with slightly lower specs, but should still be fully capable of running CO with no worries:

It's too bad you can't build one, though - you could probably shave another $50 to $100 off the above prices...

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the input- As for building it myself, I really just don't trust myself not to screw it up. I've been getting additional input on the COH forums, but I'm glad to see that at least what I'm looking to do will be able to handle CO no problem. :)
