After I made
this topic awhile ago, and after seeing
this one more recently, I have to wonder... With music being so powerful for conveying the emotional ties of the lore in a story, I have to wonder...
What are/is the primary theme song / soundtrack for your character(s) in Champions Online?

Here is my list for the characters I can list (subject to change):
- Hero Name: Alyssa Q'Uzixola
Theme Song: "Heart of Courage" by Two Steps from Hell
Reason: She's an almost transcendent magical character, the lyrics kind of fit with her internal conflicts she experiences, and the blend of both uplifting tone and haunting with a thundering base line under the treble matches both her femininity and deadly nature. She is a paradox; of life and death, joy and sorrow. Imagine if you will her standing on the edge of a battlefield and giving a rallying speech before she herself lead the charge causing the enemy front lines to scatter. It is a song that embodies her fight for freedom and the courage in her heart to continue that fight when hope seems lost. This song fits my main protagonist, quite well I think. More info on the character herself here.
- Hero Name: Sabra Raja
Theme Song: "The Sentinel" by Celldweller
Reason: Military expert former-sniper and intelligent battle commander of a fleet that is set against almost impossible odds and has to prevail (or they all die). She is fast, accurate, and secret-agent-grade of smooth. And while sexy she typically is ice cold when it comes to matters of emotion or romance; so don't get to excited guys, you're probably not her type (David below actually happens to be romantic interest). The slow-mo sound effect part of the song at 0:40 to 0:44 is epic for her, and the overall melody is upliftingly heroic enough to match her courage. More info on the character herself here.
- Hero Name: David Javan
Theme Song: "Fistful of Silence" by The Glitch Mob
Reason: Captain of Narcozari, he's a very happy fellow but when it comes to battle he's one tough big dude. If it comes down to it he's very strong and can knock most bad guys out of the park with his cybernetic-body-enchanced fists. The heavy baseline and harmonious "boxing" bouncy treble melody of this song fits him almost perfectly.
- Hero Name: Aidan Thorkas
Theme Song: "Ruins of Ostagar" by Inon Zur
Reason: Hardened dwarven warrior, and this expertly created song by Inon Zur for Dragon Age just perfectly fits, both the hardness and underlying struggle I feel is a very good expression of this warrior race.
- Hero Name: Elizabeth Boudreaux
Theme Song: "Will & Elizabeth" by Klaus Badelt
Reason: Besides having her name, this song fits her sneaky & evasive combat style oddly well. While she does have a pistol, she's better with thinking cleverly and using her blade and incredible acrobatic agility to fight. Oh, and she also does happen to be a pirate and an expert thief (although a moral one, more like Robinhood).
- Villian Name: Kali Q'Uzixola
Theme Song: "Hellmarch 2" from C&C
Reason: Wicked-sick guitar riffs, drum rolls, and a "marching" beat; perfect for her feelings of vengeance and her conquest to take over the world. This is almost perfect.
- Villian Name: Azazel Yrre
Theme Song: When he arrives on this plane, and immediately drains the lives out of his loyal summoners (who are unwittingly just sacrificial pawns in his schemes) "Enter the Kokari Wilds" by Inon Zur.
Reason: He's a twisted, immortal being, intent on "cleansing" the world of "the perversion of existence called life" (i.e.: destroying all of it), becoming God himself (as he's frequently challenging any "deity", or believer, to prove him wrong, that their faith will somehow intervene and save them), and well... he just really enjoys torturing beings slowly and watching them struggle only to die in agony. That's his idea of "fun". He's got an ego with the powers to match, a calculating & controlled rage, a twisted and perverse sense of humor, and is otherwise an epitome of chaotic evil. I don't have any songs to truly match him, yet.
- Hero Name: Ynnea
Theme Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmrQ0tgrnZs
Reason: It's holy, peaceful, sad, and healing all at the same time. The kind of song you could hear as you die and pass to the beyond. More info on the character herself here.
- Hero Name: Gorothok
Theme Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ygw99BBL6io
Reason: Among demons, he's the one being the rebel. He's questioning being evil and becoming more good-hearted and kind over time. He's even taking to helping humans he likes, like Alyssa, and helping them in battle against others of his kind. More info on the character himself here.
So... I'm curious... Your character(s), do any of them have theme songs? If so, what are they and why do they fit the character?

I love Grim Fandango :B
Edit: Ok, ok, I'll do it as op suggested.
Here is my list for the characters I can list (subject to change):
Hero Name : Bernacula
Theme Song: Nobody
Reason: Very pasionate, very guttural, and noby gets out alive >:3
Hero Name: Dishnomia
Theme Song: Dubstep Cat!
Reason: This is what my headaches sounds like. And since she was my first the mind character, I want to recall the rush of using her in battle
Hero Name: Gary
Theme Song: Bone Wagon - Grim Fandango OST
Reason: This character I basically made for sheep and giggles, made him like a character from Fallout series and gave him tunneling. This song is silly and happy! I love it.
Hero Name: Merleg
Theme Song: Metric - Help I'm Alive
Reason: This character uses infernal and celestial powers, he is a paramedic, so the song is quite in theme.
Hero Name: Valtozash
Theme Song: Wherever I May Roam - Metallica
Reason: A creature of change, a shapeshifter, a creature without a true home. Seemed appropiate.
Hero? Name: Phobos
Theme Song: Demonoid Phenomenon - Rob Zombie
Reason: A Demon bound into service of good due a botched path.
Hero Name: Bogar Fhold
Theme Song: Underground - Tom Waits
Reason: This guy is a burrowing beetle, underground :B
Hero Name: Lizzibeth
Theme Song: Fantastic Visions
Reason: A worm girl from outer space? Techno scifi music!
Hero Name: Karkillian
Theme Song: To Victory - 300 OST
Reason: Nice violent, yet slowly paced song. Very good for a minotaur with a huge hammer.
Hero Name: Rogthar gro-Drosh
Theme Song: Power of the Horde
Reason: Originally I made this character The Elder Scrolls' lore orc based, but then I couldn't help to take Storm Earth and Fire as his powerset. Naturally, this is his theme song.
Hero Name: Troll Cat
Theme Song: Zerst?ren
Reason: A primal creature made for killing, what's better than a song about destruction? :B
Hero Name: El Gato Vengador
Theme Song: Fiesta Pagana - Mago de Oz
Reason: A very nice song in spanish, metal and easy to sing along. El Gato Vengador is a dodge tank kitty, against the church and very pagan.
Hero Name: Reef Hunter
Theme Song: Jaw Techno Remix
Reason: Well, she is a shark. Duh! With a power armor
Hero Name: Gran Cuarzo
Theme Song: Juana Molina - Unknown
Reason: It's weird, spanish and catchy. I'm also drunk at this point.
Hero Name: Blutarch
Theme Song: Bad Boys - Inner Circle
Reason: Black brother knows kung-fu, whatchu gonna do when he comes for you?
Hero Name: Vulcan Barbie
Theme Song: Star Trek TNG theme
Reason: Well, she is indeed a huge fan of star trek :B
Hero Name: Medve
Theme Song: Shadowrun remastered
Reason: He is from Seatle 2070, he misses his life back then.
Hero Name: Mr Powers
Theme Song: Kryptonite
Reason: A Parody song for a parody hero!
I missed Damaia, but I'm too tired to think of one right now
=^ _ ^= Kitty Lives!
OMG! That's actually pretty hilarious tunneling music.
(PS: I'm not a big fan of saxophones, but that's just my preference)
But do you have any characters that have a theme song Klitty?

Hero Name: Mayhem
Theme Song: Dreams In Digital
Reason: Mayhem is an android or more specifically she's a software program running in an android. Is a cool song, while it doesn't necessarily fit her like glove its darn cool and most superhero movie/show songs don't fit quite ^^
Hero Name: Oni
Theme Song: Group Four
Reason: It's a sneaky, slinky and very strange song, very like Oni herself. If Oni had a TV show, the first half would be the opening. The latter half [about 5:25] would be the closer.
Hero Name: Jinx
Theme Song: Cat Grove
Reason: Jinx is my manimal cat girl. She's a more than slightly crazy mutant house cat and she's got a taste for the old school and wacky. This song has that in spades. I can actualy imagine her doing the dance this guys does.
Villian Name: Ace of Spades
Theme Song: The Bitter End
Reason: Ace is Mayhem's arch-nemisis. One enemies, turned allies and back to enemies this songs title, tone and strangely mixed message seems to fit their up and down conflicts.
Villian Name: Grimm
Theme Song: Seven Nation Army
Reason: Grimm is a modern day bandit. She used to be the enforcer for a island Junta and quit when it darn near killed her. Okay it did, but that's a long story. Now she's going to get rich and no army will stop her.
Villian Name: Doctor Zero
Theme Song: Build the Robots
Reason: Doctor Zero is a Mad Scientist. Very MAD and very SCIENCY. Nuff Said
Here we are now going to the West Side
Weapons in hand as we go for a ride
Some may come and some may stay
Watching out for a sunny day
Where there's love and darkness and my sidearm
In game as @forgemccain
Theme Song:Swedish house mafia-Greyhound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBRKSIj2tMc
Reason: Kira's mind and sound powers are music based so beats and synths would be useful. (and its a awesome song )
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
...I just recently realized something really disturbing. We're all eating Sodapop3's "humble pie."
I'll start with the easiest -
Hero Name: The Grey Kestrel
Theme Song: Batman: The Animated Series Theme
Reason: The Grey Kestrel is a Bat-Family homage character; the kind who'd fit relatively well in a Bat-comic, movie or show. Needless to say, the theme song is tailor made for this type of character. It fits so well it's the song that runs through my head whenever I'm playing her. So this was an easy call.
---
Hero Name: Saber Dance
Theme Song: Saber Dance
Reason: Self explanatory - she's based on the song! >_> Imagine a semi-comedic fight scene between some generic thugs and a character who's half Zorro half Harley Quinn. See what I mean? It's the kind of thing that begs for a sound effect balloon saying "PANTS'D!"
---
Hero Name: Maaki the Wolf
Theme Song: Of Wolf and Man - Metallica
Reason: Twofold reasons here: One - Maaki is a wolfgirl, so that's rather obvious. The other is that she's a nature themed hero, and the song really kind of emphasizes that connection as well imo. Admittedly the song is about *were*wolves, but meh, I've yet to find a song that suited her and her pack of puppies better.
---
I'll have to think before I post anymore though <. .>b
Check out my Champions Online webcomic in progress!
Annoying people since 2009!
It was nice of you all to follow the format instructions, it makes this for some easy-to-follow guided music selection. This is so awesome to see! (plus I might find some cool new music I might buy to add to my collection)
Afterall, I feel a cool costume/appearance and superpower selection choices only go so far in helping to effectively "describe" a character you design. To me, audio is an integral part of the video game medium.
 ty! ^_^

Hero / Villian Name: Bullet
Theme Song: Bullet with Butterfly Wings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-r-V0uK4u0
Reason: A Munitions toon......With butterfly wings! Slightly inspired by the song.
Hero / Villian Name: Battery
Theme Song: Battery by Metallica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ7Aif5aXlQ
Reason: Inspired by the song. Just SO bad a$$ I had to make a toon of the tune!
Hero / Villian Name: Alkie the Angry Drunken Clown
Theme Song: I Drink Alone by George Thorgood and the Destroyers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpzqQst-Sg8
Reason: What better song for a drunken, bitter ex birthday party clown stuck forever in his clown suit and make-up who's acts of "heroism" have more to do with an unending hangover and supervillein rampages being REALLY LOUD.
Hero / Villian Name: Uncle Icky
Theme Song: Do I Creep You Out? by Weird Al Yankovick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_U377vst5o
Reason: The perfect theme song for America's Creepy Uncle!
Hero / Villian Name: Boom-Orang Pendek
Theme Song: The Theme from The Banana Splits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS8RVkaIM9c
Reason: I only noticed this after someone pointed it out to me in game, but he looks a lot like the monkey. As this was maybe my all time favourite show as a kid, I doubt the resemblance is coincidental.
Hero / Villian Name: The Lock Ness Mobster
Theme Song: Padrino by Smashmouth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdALfXpYCLs
Reason: The arch Nemesis of Boom-Orang Pendek and Undersea Underworld Underboss is just not serious enough a character for me to get away with Synchronicity II.
Hero / Villian Name: The Deep Fried Twinkie
Theme Song: Mister Heat Miser
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbfgVEk-mxQ
Reason: Almost as soon as I started playing this toon I began receiving comments about how awesome a tribute to the Heat Miser he was. While I had no intention of making a Heat Miser toon, something in the back of my mind must have been feeding me fond childhood memories, because the body style, head and hair are nearly spot on and that's not an easy look to get if your doing it on purpose, much less subconsciously
Hero / Villian Name: The Great Cosmic Oddity/The Grand Cosmic Perplexity
Theme Song: The Theme from Gridrunner Revolution
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_38qMXSlI20
Reason: SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hero / Villian Name: Gluteus Maximus
Theme Song: Gaudeamus Igitur
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJllP6z8jDw
Reason: A fancy sounding song unless you know its history. It is actually a Roman DRINKING SONG, meant to be loud and obnoxious, sung with great joy and gusto! It was the Margaritaville of the second century B.C.
Hero / Villian Name: Professor A. Frumious Bandersnatch
Theme Song: Blinded Me With Science!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IlHgbOWj4o
Reason: What other song can the Dean of Mad Sciences at Miscatonic University groove out to while designing comically inadvisable experiments?
Hero / Villian Name: Gallows Humour
Theme Song: It's the End Of The Word As We Know It by R.E.M.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0GFRcFm-aY
Reason: The ideal song for the Not At All Grimm Reaper!
.
.
.
'Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the universe is, instant by instant, recreated anew. Therefore, he understood, there is in truth no past, only a memory of the past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time
Chisoku - Stand Up Against Myself (Thunder Force IV)
Pretty much been his "theme" since 2008 or so. It's driving with a serious tone, and maybe a little bit melancholy, which kind of taps into Chisoku's high combat potential, but also some of his apprehensions towards being a hero.
Lady Anubis - Spirit of Champions (Two Steps from Hell)
Though the title kind of evokes something a bit more proud, all I can picture when listening to the piece is an intense, supernatural battle in the midst of night. Dark and severe, it sort of ties into the arcane and bloody origins of the hero.
Inspector Steel - At the Heart of it all (Aphex Twin)
I mean, what other song would you choose for the theme of a giant piece of machinery. It's plodding and it's got a somber, contemplative tone, tying into Steel's more cerebral tendencies.
Screamin' Eagle - Taskmaster (Marvel VS Capcom 3)
You were probably expecting something else. TOO BAD. That's soldier's music! A superhero deserves much better!
Tri-Emerald - Life in Technicolor (Coldplay/Instrumental)
So, here's this young girl who was born a freak with a 3rd eye, had her entire life ruined when she was convinced by another psion to destroy her school, and then was left as an orphan by her own parents for several years. Suddenly, she's given a home in an underground base by a really nice boss and influental person around the city she works in, given an opportunity to clear her criminal record, and basically reintegrate herself into society and hide her mutation. I wanted to pick something that clearly has a bright motif, with only a few lingering tones of despair in the distant past.
Michael Sanders - Slither (Velvet Revolver)
A hard rock song about doing drugs. And here's a boorish, violent corpse that can pretty much do anything without having to fear about dying/health complications. I'd think the dots connect pretty clearly.
Bluhman - Wandering Ghosts (Castlevania: SOTN)
Admittedly, it's got way less to do with the character's story and more to do with his look; the story of him basically being a security chief only was straightened out around 5 years ago, while him being a super-secret agent with a pistol has been a core part of the design for much longer than that. Same goes for that musical theme up there.
Dr. Voltsz - Beautiful Lies (B-Complex)
At this point, you probably notice that I choose songs based a lot more on how they feel rather than trying to relate some semi relevant lyrics in something with the completely wrong tone. Well, in any case, scientist, likes clean labs, works with electricity and giant robots. End.
Idaten - Rislim (Akira Yamaoka)
He actually uses a non-remixed version of the song, but I can't find one of those on youtube, so he has this instead. In any case, being stuck an eternal loner on account to his island basically burning down, the song's lyrics actually fit him pretty well, I found out a while back.
Quarterlife - Ima's Tower (The Void)
Quarterlife can best be summed up as being shaped by a world that dropped her straight into a radioactive hellhole, and then somehow managed to get her locked up underneath a city for 6 years for doing nothing. She ended up a huge chew-toy for fate, by some strange and horrible luck. As for the song, that also has a bunch of background. Basically, if you haven't heard of the Void, it's a crazy Russian game that can be summed up as "escaping hell with a naked lady from a bunch of men combined with musical instruments". The 'sister' Ima happens to symbolize something resembling captivity and fate, considering her domain is a huge tower where she's strapped to a tree underneath a huge, constantly swinging blade.
Avalon - Unraveling the Mystery (Myst Remix)
Myst's main theme is already kind of, well, mysterious. A lot of sustained chords and somber tones shape the song, even below the catchy, rapid drums that are featured here. I'd say it fits Avalon quite well; he's got great abilities, lots of resources, and has the ability to see the future - just one problem; he knows that he ultimately cannot fight whatever fate he is dealt.
Scout - Coast (Trackmania United)
I don't think the Trackmania series is exactly famous for its music, but the song here is easily my favorite one from the game. Given that it's being used here for a french spy with a bow and arrow for some reason, I don't see why I wouldn't use something that sounds like it's out of some old spy flick.
Flame Stag - Night Bird (Deep Forest)
Completely contrary to a character with the word "flame" in its name, I choose this soft, quiet piece for the savage fire kid. Mainly, this was chosen because Flame Stag hails from the cold Chiyetah tribes, so if anything, this is a song that more strongly symbolizes his homeland than he himself.
Copper Hawk - Dragon Rider (TSFH)
She's the sidekick to the Screamin' Eagle, who, in all actuality, is a horrible hero. To offset this, Hawk here is pretty much the only reason he's still alive today for multiple reasons, including not murdering everything. So, by and large, Hawk is a straight-edge and competent hero, and she also flies extremely fast, and that is why she gets Dragon Rider as the designated theme.
The Gourmand - Uranus (Gustav Holst)
He's admittedly kind of goofy, but also really damn powerful and nearly impossible to hurt. As such, he is entitled to timpanis, tubas, and oboes.
Archon - Finished Symphony (Hybrid)
Archon's a fusion of earthly being and sentiment, and heavenly knowledge and powers. As a practical half-alien, his theme is suitably spacey, but also incorporates those string motifs to add in a bit of tradition to his style.
Ray Tracie - Endangered Species (Deep Forest)
Ray Tracie, in her origins, basically attempts to save Multifarian Canada from an evil Justiciar, and basically leaves behind a desolate wasteland of barely-educated slaves to now fend for themselves instead of get a working government. Obvious techno-style aside, the song applies in that it kind of signifies the sentiments she has for the place she left behind.or it might just be me trying to reinterpret an environemental aesop hhahahaha****me.
Mark Marotte - Catgroove (Parov Stelar)
I don't know, Mark Marotte considers himself an old-fashioned marksman and ladies man (who got turned into a puppet). He just likes (remixed) swing...?
Star Soldier - Asteroid Coaster Act III (Sonic Colors)
Star Soldier's a fairly fast and active hero. Even though he really likes what he does, he's also quite serious and driven. So, he got this song.
Megadrive - Stage 1 (Mega Turrican)
We've got a character here named after a video game system; the Megadrive/Genesis. Naturally, I opted to choose a song that I thought happened to sound splendid using the system's sound chip while also maintaining a good, upbeat tone.
Mad Reid Jake - Fallen Star (Norther)
MRJ here used to be a rockstar. Before he got dragged into the Qliphohtothohohtohtohuic realm and was basically tortured for 8 years and turned into a PTSD-ailed, nigh-invincible stabbing machine. I think becoming a crazed vigilante madman kind of counts as a "star" "falling".
Carmilla VI - Nameless Calamity (Soul Calibur III)
This is probably the kind of music Carmilla dances to.
Impasto - Highlands (Beyond Atlantis)
A magical paintbrush. That is, a magical paintbrush that managed to manifest itself as a 5-year old avatar of pure color, creativity, and paint. Impasto does have a lot of energy, but she's also exceedingly pure and simple; qualities which quickly trump energy and pretty much took command when deciding on the song to use.
Doc. Montblanc - Messing with my head (Cyriak)
Montblanc is a really gifted guy - just not in the way you'd expect. Yeah, he's got a PhD in particle physics and is also an amazing marksman, but he doesn't really have much motivation to really take action, and also is almost completely incomprehensible due to his severe insomnia.
===HUGE CHARACTER SKIP HOLY CRAP===
Aylaesca Stormsinger - Athair Ar Neamh (Enya)
She's a princess from an alternate dimension that controls weather using her voice. Despite that, she's much more a protector than a warrior or combatant, so instead of something that signifies incredible destructive potential, Aylaesca gets this soft vocal piece.
Mister Troll - Swamp Thing (Juno Reactor)
Troll's largely a straightforward character - dirty, miserly, sly, and rage-inducing. The theme I got picked out for him finely reflects his major characteristics - gritty samples of bass and guitar, hurried irregular beat, and the feeling that he could get you by surprise at any next turn.
The Secretary - Mindwarp (Evelyn Glenni)
A bit of a personal story about this song - usually, I go through phases where I listen to a select few songs repeatedly for a while. During the period where said song happened to be this, I think I nearly became manic-depressive or something (that, or it was school assignments taking their extended tolls on me). Either way, I'm now pretty much convinced that this is some sort of song of the devils, so what's easily the closest thing I have to a pure villain gets this song as a badge of something. I could probably go into a lot more detail about how the song's aural qualities fit, but I think it speaks for itself.
-N- - Tubthumping (Elvis Presley)
I wanted to choose something that signified the pure F̢͢͡l̨̢̛͟u̧̕t̵̶t͢͜͞e͞͝͏͏r̵̡̀̕͜y̶̡ and sheer D͝͠?̸͢r̵̛k̷̵͢i̵̧͘͏ǹ̡e̷̸s͠ş̕͜͞҉ that contitute the character. It took a bit of searching, but I think I finally managed to sort something out. Easily one of the hardest finds in my everlasting search for musical themes for MMO characters.
Blue Line - Above the Clouds (Little People)
Originally I wanted to explore a bit of the more traditional hip-hop to try and get a theme for Blue Line here, but decided that the non-lyrical approach would work fine. Given his general preference for actions over words, as well as his general ambivalence towards bling/bitches/ridin' dirty/being bulletproof/half-dollars/bragging, something that just evokes the right style works alright.
Judgement - O Verona (Only Men Aloud)
He's Aylaesca's nemesis - and how. I find the contrast between the two's themes really funny, because they just happen to pretty much perfectly sum up how they're different. Judgement here wants you to worship him as a god, and by George he won't take no for an answer.
Commander Zeppelin - Wing Fortress (Sonic 2)
He owns one. Or two.
Nocturno - Keep it in the Family (Hybrid)
You listen to that for 15 seconds and tell me that doesn't sound like something out of Batman.
Guy Calamari - The Flyin' King (Earthworm Jim 2)
It's an octopus from a tropical reef who happens upon a super-charged scuba suit. A: You can't exactly expect him to have the most serious sounding motif, and B: He is partially an earthworm jim homage.
Say, did you know that group does have a famous TV series that uses one of their songs?
House MD uses this: "Teardrop" by Massive Attack ;-)
PS: I usually play my theme music of choice for that character when I'm in the costume/appearance editor in-game. I dunno maybe I'm just weird like that, I feel it helps.

=^ _ ^= Kitty Lives!
...I just recently realized something really disturbing. We're all eating Sodapop3's "humble pie."
Reason: Her path came to a stand still. After her use of her streanth and her might lost with her heart. She had a dream of her standing agenst in an army. A dream that lead to become a nightmare. As this dream became real. She fought with those in her group. To stop this dream from becomeing real.
Blue Rose: Theme: Alterbridge Broken wings
Reason: Her reason is her path is full of broken promises and broken truths.
Jabari: Open your heart. Crush 40
Reason: He is between dark and light.
Red Glow: Creed Freedom fighters.
Reason: When she was created in the labs of old Detroit she was given a choice choose to fight with her friends that where created with her to soon after to become enmies she choosed to fight for freedom.
Adoria: Godsmack Voodoo
Reason: A demonic vixen with a demon that talks like willem shakespear when it takes over to not cause trouble but to speak of the wisdom of old but the reason for this is that she was brought back to life by voodo
And these are mine hope you enjoy
Hero Name: Happifun Security System X-4
Theme Song: Rush, "The Body Electric" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dW8wEQbAXU
Reason: A reflection of the confusion and panic that beset the robot in the 3.74 seconds (an eternity in computer time) between its full AI capability being "awakened" by the Qularr-induced power surge, and establishing contact with SOCRATES (which saw it through its first moments of synthetic consciousness).
Hero Name: Spider-Bat
Theme Song: Ozzy Osbourne, "Crazy Train" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otdHbA4GlSI&feature=related
Reason: In case his appearance doesn't give you a clue, Peter Wayne isn't entirely connected to consensual reality any more. It's not like he's dangerous - it's just that his wealth is all that makes him an "eccentric billionaire superhero", as opposed to a "crazy hobo under a bridge somewhere".
Hero Name: Skyfire
Theme Song: "Fanfare For the Common Man", original composition Aaron Copland, arranged by Emerson Lake & Palmer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OLWgrr671g
Reason: Skyfire's probably the most "traditional" super I have. The others are mostly misfits for one reason or another, but Skyfire is a hero because that seems to him to be the noblest thing to do with his inborn power. (Note that this is the full version, almost nine minutes. You don't have to listen to the whole thing if you don't want to. )
Hero Name: Captain Americlown
Theme Song: Rush, "Beneath Between & Behind" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjAlW4r9mAg&feature=BFa&list=AL94UKMTqg-9CocLGbd6tpbuQRxyF4FGNr
Reason:
Beneath the noble bird,
Between the proudest words,
Behind the beauty, cracks appear;
Once, with heads held high,
They sang out to the sky -
Why do their shadows bow in fear?

Hero Name: Adamantech
Theme Song: We Have Explosive by Future Sound Of London
Reason: Adamantech is a huge mecha with serious firepower piloted by a small-sized woman. I have a fascination with electronic music in general, including the industrial sub-genre and this song only seems fitting with its robust, robotic and mechanical sound and beats. The song title that makes up the lyrics seems to match the character's theme perfectly.
Hero Name: N.O.V.A. (Nanotechnological Operationally-Variant Android)
Theme Song: Tune Into My Heart by Little Boots
Reason: NOVA is an android that was created to be in every way a synthetic representation of a human being in both likeliness and mannerisms. Once captured and reprogrammed into a heartless killing machine by Mechanon, she has been rescued, her ruthless programming cleared and is now trying to find her place once more in society. She has what's called an "empathy core" that replicates human emotions with extremely-complex software algorithms, it's development based on human interaction, and it has been damaged during her rescue. She yearns to feel human, to be human, and more importantly to be loved as one, even with the dilemma of not truly understanding the concept of love. I think the melancholic song describes the yearning pretty well along with its interesting lyrics describing technological jargon that does fit her character concept.
Hero Name: Hugh Mann
Theme Song: Blitzkrieg by Audiomachine
Reason: I initially used this song to pump me up for Zombie Apocalypse matches, and it just sort of stuck. Hugh Mann isn't human (Who would have thought? It's a name you can trust!). He's the spawn of an eldritch abomination who had his powers stolen from him during his infancy by a mage. The mage wove a few spells around him to keep him from seeking revenge, one to make people see him as a normal, mild mannered middle aged man, another to make him think he IS one, and a third to give him an irresistable urge to help people in trouble. I like to imagine this music plays when the spells break during a climatic battle with this mage, and Hugh realizes the truth. Despair takes over as his powers return to their rightful owner, and he realizes everything he ever knew was wrong.
Hero Name: Isosceles the Archangle
Theme Song: Unstoppable by E. S. Posthumas
Reason: I used this song as inspiration while I made her battle armor (which I could never quite perfect), and it sort of stuck. Isosceles is a high priestess of a cult that worships geometry and gains power from complex rituals involving drawing these shapes and angles. I like to imagine that the most dangerous, intricate and powerful ritual causes 'ascenscion', wherin the caster is transformed into a being of pure geometry. This music plays while the traumatic, painful, and often insanity-inducing metamorphosis occurs.
Hero Name: Taze the Rainbow
Theme Song: Nyan Cat
Reason: Well, it's quite a chipper song and fits Taze's ever cheerful personality. Also, rainbows. Need I say more?
Hero Name: Herr Correktsphelling
Theme Song: Panzermensch by And One
Reason: Somewhat embarrassed to admit that it's basically because it's a German song. A very catchy song. And its bounciness (for lack of a better word) is a sharp contrast to Herr's strict, no-nonsense uniform and personality, which amuses me.
Hero Name: Emma the Emo Emu
Theme Song: Cheer Up by Reel Big Fish
Reason: Emma is an emu. Who is emo. This song is a cheerful, upbeat song telling you to cheer up. It's the juxtaposition that gets me.
Hero Name: Slaughtermelon
Theme Song: The Last Man on Earth by Alice Cooper
Reason: Slaughtermelon is my anti-hero. He's a militant watermelon who was brought to life when a group of cultists tried to summon a demon of pestilence in his patch. Has a hatred for vegetarians, is a crude, violent vegetable who enjoys the wholesale slaughter of criminals. If every human on the planet dropped dead, he wouldn't care. At all. As such, I feel this song fits him. Plus... it's catchy.
Villain Name: Lee Tosi (Yeah, you all knew this was coming.)
Theme Song: Hate This by Grendel (Lots of profanity!) and Elixir by Angelspit
Reason: Well, Tosi is a very, VERY angry clone. Hate This by Grendel is a very angry song. Best listened to with the sound up to get the full rage effect, in my opinion. As for Elixir by Angelspit? That refrain, man. That refrain. Also, the upbeatness with the lyrics.
Now that that's done, to listen to everyone's songs!
Theme Song: Rapid Fire - Judas Priest
Reason: Thunder Valkyrie's overall visual design and power selection are themed off of the A-10 Warthog - the song has the right 'feel' for the kind of combat role both the aircraft and the heroine take, even if the actual lyrics aren't quite exact.
---
And now for something completely different!
Hero Name: Ayume
Theme Song: Magic Knight Rayearth OP3
Reason: Ayume is a tribute to the Magical Girl genre of anime, and particularly Magic Knight Rayearth; so there's that immediately that makes it fit. I also feel like the general theme - going to the lowest point and coming back out again on top, is pretty well suited to the type of character Ayume is. (I need to redo her costumes sometime though >< Not pleased with the options I have for screenies.)
---
Hero Name: Joy Buzzer
Theme Song: Bumble Bee
Reason: So this one is kind of odd - the lyrics have almost nothing to do with the character < . .> However the peppiness of the tune and the general imagery make it fit the tone of the character extremely well imo. it's one of those things kinda like the character Iron Man using Black Sabbath's Iron Man as a theme song - sure the lyrics make relatively little sense, but the tone of the song nails something about the character and makes it worth it anyway. <._.>
---
Hero feigning Evil Overladiness Name: Kikyoku
Theme Song 1: Mordred's Song - Blind Guardian
Theme Song 2: Time Stands Still (At the Iron Hill) - Blind Guardian
Reasons: Kiki is an odd duck. Well catgirl. She's an actress who wants to play the hammiest "evil overlord" type villain roles... unfortunately she's about 5'4" tall and a catgirl... all told not your stereotypical overlord. Needless to say she didn't get many calls for that type of role. However that all changed when DEMON tried to sacrifice her... it didn't go according to plan at all, the cultists died and Kikyoku inherited some truly prodigious magical powers.
Being a bit mischievous and seeing an opportunity to finally get her overlord on, Kiki's adopted a hamtacular personality with which to combat evil. Needless to say villains are often confused, finding themselves on the receiving end of a villainous monologue before being pounded into the dirt and handed over to the cops.
Anyway, the first song covers Kiki's adopted persona - Mordred's song is dark and speaks to a more human type of overlord; which while not perhaps the type of character she'd necessarily be wanting to play - is who she really ends up being once you understand...
The second song is about who Kiki really is underneath all that - goofiness aside, she's unabashedly noble and flat out "Good". The kind of person who'd fistfight Dr. Destroyer to save another person, knowing she has no chance of winning. So yeah, that's why Kiki needs two songs >.>

More as I think of them.

Annoying people since 2009!
Theme Song: Funker Vogt: Red Queen
Reason: "Well, in our country," said Alice, still panting a little, "you'd generally get to somewhere else - if you run very fast for a long time, as we've been doing."
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that."
Kaiserin represents chaos, the primal and bare nature of all living things. As societies grow and trumpet about their advances, she runs along side them to show that they really haven't gotten that far.
Theme song: Immunize (feat. Liam H) - Pendulum
Reason: Pink, the wisecracking, gun toting catgirl demigoddess that she is, is prone to to being on the receiving end of beatings dished out by a lot of angry giant lizards, monkeys, and fallen angels. For the times when she doesn't manage to dodge just right and takes a 15ft. sword to the head, her soul is plunged into her mother, Jagura's domain.
There she must fight her way through the trapped souls of every vile criminal, nutjob, and superbaddie she's claimed in combat while in the mortal plane. No easy task for a bounty hunter with thousands of kills and counting under her belt. Only upon breaking through the punishing gauntlet in her mother's plane can her soul return to the land of the living to restore her lifeless body and pick up the fight where she left off. Where inevitably, her egotistical insults of Therakiel's sword size compensation will set the whole process back in motion.
I feel like the tempo and melody of the song fits the attitude and general knife's edge balance Pink has both in character and gameplay, plus the lyrics go along with the ever multiplying force of evil she has to deal with when falling from that edge.
---
Villain Name: The Executioner
Song: Self vs Self (feat. In Flames) - Pendulum
Reason: The Executioner is the result of a splinter in time after the events of the Vibora Bay apocalypse. She is an alternate evolution of Pink that was turned back to evil when she murdered the family of one of her nemeses, Tony Boffa. After reigning terror for months in an alternate timeline, The Executioner all but lost her link to her mother and demigod powers. Realizing too late what had become of her, she hatched a plan to use Juryrig's time machine to return to before the moment she'd murder Tony Boffa's family and stop herself.
She successfully made the leap back in time and managed to stop herself, but in the process her mind was completely consumed by the ever increasing insanity that had been building within her. Now the only thing she wants is to go "home", and she'll kill everyone that gets in her way.
(This actually happened during the time when I was committing genocide on the Sovereign Sons to get a skull bra, two renames and everything.)
Overall I have way too many toons and very specific/weird tastes in music to be able to find things that fit them well most of the time.
Snark never dies.
I want to see all of this made into a movie, mostly for the sake of seeing Therakiel's sword size being made fun of in some final battle.
Isn't that called anime?

Hero: Little Lead Riding Hood
Theme Song: Lil' Red Riding Hood
Reason: once i decided on her concept, the song seemed a natural fit.
Hero: Cosmic Girl
Theme Song: Cosmic Girl
Reason: someone once said she reminded him/her of the song, and so her theme song was born.
Hero: Sonic Youth
Theme Song: Kool Thing
Reason: do i even really need to point out the correlation between hero and song?

Special thanks to Klitty, Gerberatetra, Jonsills for keeping to the original formatting!
Vizzone, if you had to choose, which one of the two is Lee Tosi's theme song (yes I listened to both, and I can definitely see how they'd fit)?
And Megaskullmon, do you have links that we can click on and listen to, please?
This is quickly turning into one of my favorite threads! To be frank, it's an idea that just came to me while I was shopping for some new music to add to my library (I typically download off Amazon mp3 because I don't like the DRM that is forced on you from iTunes, even though I play the music with iTunes lol).
YouTube is actually a great shopping aid when trying to see if you want to buy a song permanently, and Pandora is my "new music" exploration tool of choice. That said, this thread had giving me a new opportunity to find music I might like; and just as important, it's giving everybody a chance to give a "snapshot" into the personality or fanfare motif of their characters.
FYI:
Did you know that Star Wars IV (1977) is often credited with being the return of character motif themes in the music in film and the first major use of this in the SciFi genre? Famous motifs from the original trilogy are Vader's Theme (aka. Imperial March), Luke's theme, and Leah's theme. There have been a number of video games that have done this, the "Ghosts of Reach" theme was used in Halo a number of times to highlight tragic moments, and in the final part is used with more strings to highlight the death of a main character (spoiler warning): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzA9mv9B9S4
In short, music matters a lot in film and video game entertainment media!
PS:
Not all heroes are perfect, such as anti-heroic heroes; and not all villains are bad to the bone, such as Dr. Horrible (who's actually a protagonist despite being the villain). It's subjective, and your call which side of the fence you want to say they're on. This is why I setup the syntax as Hero or Villain. And often times, the Villains can be very interesting characters, even though Heroes are the ones we love the most.
There's an old saying about this, the strength of a hero is defined by the quality of the villains he/she opposes. The greater the challenge to overcome, the more heroic the feat of accomplishment.
Yes indeed! And that's perfect for a person like me who has wide, open-minded tastes in music! (as long as it's awesome)
Yep! Also reggae is a blend of different genres itself. Part of why I don't really put much stock in media companies or people attempting to "categorize" music into genres. Pandora's music genome algorithm is a much better means of relating different songs, and even it's not perfect for describing such diverse correlations.

Awesome picks!
Hero Name: Dung Beetle
Theme Song: Dum Da Dum Doi Doi
Reason: He's a big, dumb, silly-proportioned guy who picked the Dung Beetle to be the symbol of his super heroicness. This is the music that plays while he bumbles along punching stuff into low orbit.
Theme Song: Forgone Destruction - Unreal Tournament '99
Reason: The song goes well with how I play Miko. She's a Soldier Archetype and has lots of guns available to her, like a good 'ol late 90s FPS hero. The calm paired with the drum and bass in the background suits her too: She's a rational, but very well-armed woman with quite the trigger finger.
Anti-Hero Name: Niko Easton
Theme Song: From Dusk till Dawn - No More Heroes 2
Reason: Niko is the Multifarian version of Miko, normally a cocky, carefree and downright bloodthirsty fighter. This song captures the side of her struggling with her ex-villainy. Fun story, I really played up that one Monster Island mission where the two archaeologists were killed as something that got to Niko. "The hell do you mean I can't save everyone? Isn't that what heroes do?!"
Hero Name: Remilia Lapin
Theme Song: Iron Blue Intention - Castlevania
Reason: Remilia is a vampire ninja bunny. It was a toss up between focusing more on the 'ninja' or the 'vampire' part. I decided to go with the 'vampire' part! She's a supernatural-hunter, specializing in vampire, demon and otherworldly being extermination. Normally a goofball, this song's perfect for when she's getting down to business.
Hero Name: Leo Marks
Theme Song: Roberto's Theme - Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Reason: Leo is a martial artist who uses her special training to fight alongside super-strong heroes and magicians, and the song goes well with a badass normal along with her playstyle, destroying enemies with a flurry of punches, stunning roundhouse kicks and devastating uppercuts.
Pictures of characters will come later. Maybe more characters too!
Xenos Infinity
Deus Ex Human Revolution - Icarus (Michael McCann)
Xenos started out as a human. He's my personal avatar in every game that lets me fully customise appearance or powers, although he looks nothing like me.
Note: Started out as a human. He isn't so close to one now.
To cut a long story short, Xenos is a half-seraph mage (not a sorceror, not a wizard, a mage) whose power is potentially enough to split a planet in two without any significant exertion. Immortal until the day he flips Time the bird and grants his powers to his past self, Infinity is believed by some to be on the level of a deity - but every human has their limits, and Icarus' story shows only too well what happens to the man who flies too far beyond.
Citadel
Two Steps from Hell - Jump!
A combat android designed by UNTIL to explore and secure areas considered unsafe for humans, Sentinel S-001 Citadel is one of the best-recognised symbols of the United Nations' authority in the United States of America. Constructed in Europe and based on reverse-engineered Destroid technology, Citadel is a walking tank designed to endure any amount of punishment his targets provide.
Why Jump! ? Because Citadel is a machine of war designed to fight other machines. Assigned to Project Shiva, UNTIL's anti-Destroyer module, this Sentinel unit is kept on standby to enter combat at a moment's notice anywhere on the face of the Earth. The best way to get where you're going at high speed?
Well, obviously it's teleportation, but that doesn't really have the first impression value of an orbital drop.
Delirium
Two Steps from Hell - Mind Tricks
Never underestimate the capacity of the human mind to fail to comprehend what it perceives.
Such is the maxim of Delirium. Once a human, now forgotten by all but the most powerful sorcerors, he once foolishly attempted to make a deal with the Kings of Edom for magical strength, in exchange for his service.
It never occurred to him that one of them might take a little more interest.
The being that has become Delirium has no memory of his life before that day. The first thing he can recall is waking in the middle of a shattered protective circle with a hideous black spore stuck to the back of one hand. Since that day, he has gradually been consumed by the tiny shard of Qliphoth, apparently with the intention of being made a sleeper agent of the Kings, but has somehow evaded that fate and become a monstrosity that few humans can even see without sorcerous aid.
However, with subliminality comes the ability to influence the subconscious - and Delirium has made good use of his new powers. Able to paralyse a human with fear, befuddle their senses and provoke them into attacking allies, seal or sap the power of mages with a thought and even call the nightmares and secrets of a human into reality as matter, his control of the mind is almost unparalleled.
Jericho
Busted - Thunderbirds
Stop looking at me like that. It's a good song, alright?
Jericho is an ex-supervillain.
...No, let me start that again.
Jericho is an ex-agent of Doctor Destroyer. An expert demolitionist and the owner of what may be the most destructively powerful self-contained power suit on the planet, even twenty years after his incarceration in Stronghold, he is today considered a consultant to PRIMUS and an incredibly dangerous mercenary employed in Millennium City.
The main reason for the vast threat level he bears is the same as his name. Some sides of history claim that the city of Jericho was demolished by noise alone, but he personally found it implausible - and decided that if any demolition was going to be done, it was going to be done in the most awe-inspiring manner possible.
Jericho's armor suit is armed with approximately half a ton of conventional ordnance, including armor-piercing and explosive rounds fitted for its dual arm-mounted miniguns and missile launchers inside the torso, arms, wrists, shoulders and upper and lower legs. It also contains a self-sufficient reactor core apparently designed by Destroyer and never successfully reverse-engineered, along with self-repair nanites and a power redirection system which allows the suit to alternate between nigh-impenetrable shield systems and targeting systems/high velocity rounds designed to pierce even the toughest defenses. Exactly what would happen if his own weapons were turned against him is unknown, but most of PRIMUS' weapons experts believe there would be a large explosion followed by the death of anyone within half a mile.
So why Thunderbirds?
Well, Jericho has a unique license from the United States government - Under pursuit conditions for a sufficiently dangerous supervillain, he is permitted a 100% collateral damage rate. He is literally permitted to demolish an entire city in pursuit of a target if the target is dangerous enough to validate use of such firepower.
So you can be sure it's not no little battle, no - when they call on Jericho.
I love you so much for this, The Neverhood is my favorite adventure game! TT 3 TT

Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time
Theme Song: We Are - Ana Johnnson
Reason: It's more of a backstory.
As a child, Cyrus Adain (the Arachnos Commander) was fascinated with the concept of good and evil. He was fascinated that there could not be one without the other. As he grew older, this played on his mind. He saw the world around him become something cold, something dark.
He dreamt of a Utopian life. A life where there was neither good nor evil. He believed that if the evil could be eradicated by the good, causing the good to cease to be, that life would be more balanced and there would be no reason for conflict.
As he grew to see the heroes of Paragon City for what they were, he watched the villains of the Rogue Isles from afar. He wanted to see what made them tick. But travel to the Isles had been forbidden.
One day, he was sitting outside of his apartment in Talos and watched a group of muggers attack a young woman. He knew these attackers were "supers" and realized that he couldn't do anything but watch, as he was just a mere mortal. In a city filled with heroes, he saw them pass by, ignoring this attack. For most of the heroes, it just wasn't worth it. There were too many "arch-villains" to deal with and having to take the time to resuce a poor young lady... as they say, "sacrifice one for the good of many." The young woman was killed and the theifs made off with her belongings.
*his mind begins to warp*
As Cyrus started down at the broken and bloody body, something clicked. Something that felt all too real... heroes were the villains. If there were millions of heroes in Paragon, then why was there any crime at all? Because it wasn't about fighting crime, it was about having a constant threat so they would continuously have an enemy. If they eradicated all evil, then where would the need be for "super-heroes"? They couldn't just become pizza makers. They couldn't just become salesmen. No, it wasn't about doing the greater good. It was about filling a quota just so they wouldn't have to become "normal."
He packed his bags and met a shady boat captain that took him to the Rogue Isles. Instead of hoping that good would conquor evil then the balance would be brought to the world, he believed that the opposite should happen. That the villains wipe the heroes off the face of the Earth. He believed that villains had a reason to be who they were: need, poverty, a belief they were in the right. That was something that he could work with.
tl;dr: the song just fits the background of why the Arachnos Commander became who he was.
Oh! Unreal Tournament, awesome! I used to play that game competitively, for money. There's some extraordinarily skilled FPS players in that game.
Hey, give that choice you might like this song, it's like an updated version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3yaPSMg_WE

Reason: It's not a powerful or artistic song. There is no hidden meaning. It's basically saying "I'm going to gun down every douchebag that deserves it and I don't care what you think".
Holy crap this is powerful stuff! The words would be kind of cliche in some ways, but with the music in the background this becomes epicsauce. ^_^

My current ones:
Hero Name : Robin James
Theme Song:The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - The Sounds of Tindalos
Reason: Robin's heart has been replaced by a blue light. It can extend up through her collarbone, and acts as a portal that goes... somewhere. She's stuffed a camera in there, and as near as she can figure, it goes to a cave. Sometimes dolls and blue monsters come out of it. Sometimes things ask to come out. Being broke, she got into the hero business to build a network of contacts who have the money needed to figure out why. Her parents insist it's just a phase and that she'll eventually decide to just not have powers.
Hero Name: Raygun Goth
Theme Song: Red Elvises - Million Miles (Apology for live quality - Russian surf rock band is exceptionally indie)
Reason: Raygun believes in a future that never happened. She believes in flying cars and summer smiles. The future was a chrome-trimmed triangular window in the front of dad?s car, and it had its own knob to open it up. The future was a hamburger under a light fixture that looked like an atom. The future was going to be awesome. Pessimists are boring. What you need is a raygun and missiles, and you can make that future happen!
Hero Name: Tsiwakgu
Theme Song: Gogol Bordello - Wonderlust King Mark Porter's mix "Girl Forgotten By Time" is a good no lyric piece, too.
Reason: Tsiwakgu is basically a magic hobo who bums her way to other universes. She travels to new worlds with a bare minimum of technology. She literally walks/hitches the train/rafts to them. She's got a duct-tape sort of magic: spells that are too complex don't work as well when you're traveling this way, so she patches anything together and uses what little scrapes and scratches of power she can. She's into having fun, going to new places, learning new things, meeting new people, buying souvenirs, mailing letters, and smashing jerks with primal elemental energies.
Hero Name: Roana Lynch
Theme Song: Chris de Burgh - Spanish Train
Reason: ((Planned character)) Roana is a gunslinger still around from the 1860s. Her brow no longer sweats, and her heart no longer beats. She beat the devil in a three-day poker game once, and he bet a lash, some power, and a few fiends. He's still chasing her now, to play that old game again. Rumor has it he's been practicin', and he's just got this new deck to use, and the aces and eights have a few old black bloodstains on 'em.
That's all for now! I will write up more when I'm not dead tired.
10 characters or more.
It's a rather difficult decision, but I'd say Angelspit's song. Grendel's captures the rage, but it leaves out the other aspects of his personality. Here, have a few more songs.
Villian Name: 'Dad'
Theme Song: Vampyren by Audiomachine
Reason: Despite the song name, 'Dad' is not a vampire. He is a nameless horror, an eldritch abomination who drinks human souls and misery like a fine vintage wine. He is also Hugh Mann's nemesis, and looks suspiciously like H.P. Lovecraft's most famous creation. The ominous tone fits him quite well.
Villian Name: Benito Aurelio
Theme Song: Diabolical Clockwork by Two Steps From Hell
Reason: I'm not sure I should include him since he was a CoH character, but what the heck. Aurelio is an Italian from the early-mid twentieth century who bought a pocketwatch from one of the many gypsies wandering the country. This pocketwatch happened to be The Devil's Timepiece, a watch that allows the user to travel through time... at the price of fragments of their soul for each use. Aurelio was a Council sympathizer, and used this power to sabotage anyone who tried to destroy them. This brought him to blows several times with Ouroborus, the group of time-menders. This music, that infernal ticking, is what he hears every time he opens the pocketwatch.
Hero / Villian Name: Necronight/Airlia Deadman. (I could never decide which she was. Not evil, but not heroic either.)
Theme Song: Quiet Slumber by shadow6nothing9
Reason: Another CoH character. Dr. Deadman (plot-relevant name, ahoy!) was a shy, sweet scientist whose only friend was brutally murdered by the Vahzilok for 'parts'. She became very depressed and obsessed with death, and after years of long, hard, lonely work she created a serum that could resurrect the recently departed. But the Vahzilok raided her lab while she was working late one night, and she was fatally wounded. Rather than let the mad scientist who had butchered her only friend steal her work, she used her final moments to destroy her research and inject all of the serum into herself. She woke up hours later in the city morgue, corrupted by the serum and radiating an aura of death that reanimated the corpses around her. Needless to say, heroes were called, unfortunate deaths occurred due to her being unable to control her undead slaves, and Deadman was branded a supervillain. Despite her unfortunate new powers as the world's first scientifically created lich, she never wanted to hurt anyone. She just wanted no one to ever have to suffer the loss she did again. I think this music sums up her somewhat tragic story fairly well. Slow and quiet, with a hint of sorrow.

I never really got the whole "this is my character's theme music" thing, I guess it recalls too much of an '80s montage mental picture for me, which makes it seem silly in a way that is not my thing. Bear in mind, I brought you all the Bubble Engine, and its SG, "Your Pet." Now, if I ever manage to find the energy to re-roll Blast Radical, he will have a theme song. Because Blast Radical is exactly the kind of silly that I usually do not do.
Sadly, RP'ing Blast Radical was actually physically exhausting, so I don't know if he'll fly over to Millenium City from the ruins of Atlas Park.

You can influence people but not control their decisions (and even if you think you can, they'll often find a way around it). I would prefer if people stick to the format, yes; but I'm not looking to start fights/confrontations, that's detrimental to what this thread is about. I'm simply asking as a courtesy to the other readers and myself, nothing more, nothing less.
Save the arguments for when people make bad suggestions, companies make bad decisions, bug fixes are not getting done or prevented properly, or people post incorrect facts, false rumors, or make fallacies in their logic.
Read the topic for comprehension (don't skim) and the related linked material and I think you'll see why. If still not, maybe you're just one of those people that doesn't like music much, or doesn't feel the emotion expressed in song. It is impossible to teach music or art appreciation in my experience.
How can it be the "best ever" if I have no clue of what you're talking about? None of my friends that I've asked did either.

It was used as background music for silly chase scenes in "The Benny Hill Show". If neither you nor anyone you know is familiar with that show, I advise you to look it up. Your local library may have some DVDs; it's also sometimes shown on cable channels or a PBS station, here in the States.

Excuse me. Make that four.
Hero Name: Sister Silicon Prime
Theme Song: Beastie Boys, "Off the Grid"
Reason: This is the sound of Moira Mullins ballin' on the playgrounds of Squirrel Hill. This is the sound of Sister Silicon hanging Circle of Thorns mages from the rooftops of Kings Row. This is the sound of Sister Silicon Prime taking Westside back from Kevin Poe. She's always been a city girl at heart, and she's always had a little swagger.
Anti-Hero Name: Hitomi Hanzo
Theme Song: Tomoyasu Hotei, "Jingi"
Reason: A Japanese guitar legend's interpretation of an ultra-violent '70s cop show theme song. Seems like a good choice for a former Yakuza-turned-PI. (Sorry for the Spotify link. Can't seem to find it on YouTube.)
Hero Name: Nuada Silverarm
Theme Song: Rush, "Headlong Flight"
Reason: Sorry if you expected an old Irish drinking song, but Nuada's been out of the Finding A Human Avatar And Influencing The Mortal World business for a long time, and he's been a bit contemplative about the old days. Also, Rush peeling your face off.
Hero Name: Sister Silicon
Theme Song: Garbage, "Metal Heart"
Reason: This is the sound of Moira Mullins, alone in an unfamiliar universe without any of the friends, family, and support she knew in Paragon City. This is the sound of Sister Silicon, realizing that her older cyborg body and human brain have been surpassed by the android, built from her three years ago, who shares her name, her face, and her memories. Her city is gone, her swagger is shook, her identity is nearly meaningless, and she has to find a way to get it all back.
They're not there in the beginning, but when your story ends / Gonna last with you longer than your friends
Oh! That song! I never knew that was what it was called
(see this is why you need links people... the format stuff I mentioned on page 1)
Here's where I first heard it I believe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9rd0Q0csHQ
PS: I have to chuckle a little at seeing Beastie Boys being one of the theme songs' artist :-3 Also if you don't know me well, I love Metal, Techno, cinematic/orchestra, and hybrid combinations of all those.

Name: Ulthuan the Ruinous
Theme Song: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - One They Fear
Reason:
Ulthuan is one of my few characters to have no real backstory so far. Consider him to have a multiple-choice past: He's a partially Demonic warlord of the Abyss, a champion of the Malvan gladiator arenas, a reincarnated King Arthur... Well, maybe not the last one. But he has no concrete past, and his present is just as much a mystery.
What is known about Ulthuan is that he is a nigh-invulnerable warrior whose armor barely counts as such - a simply shoulder harness with one pauldron, and thick, spiked boots. Dressed black as night with blood-red trim, the self-proclaimed Lord of Ruin is as devastatingly strong as he is hard to kill, and his alleged motivation for joining the fight against evil is that he seeks worthy opponents to test himself. Capable of bringing down most any foe unassisted, if there is but one a villain fears, it is Ulthuan.
Hero Name: Pheruel
Theme Song: Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna/Thomas Bergsen - A Place in Heaven
Reason:
Pheruel is an Celestial - specifically, a Luminescent or Radiant Celestial, more commonly known by Man as Angels. Believed by some to be a harbinger of Armageddon, Pheruel, Lux Invictus, is one of the most powerful Celestials on the Earth today, and wields searing Divine light against evil, driving out darkness wherever it may hide.
Lux Aeterna means Eternal Light. I'll let you drawn your own conclusions.
And since we haven't had any villains from me, here's Pheruel's personal nemesis...
Villain Name: Samael
Theme Song: Creation's End - Of Shadow and Flame
Reason:
Samael is what is commonly referred to as an Archdemon - an Infernal Hellspawn, from Pheruel's viewpoint. A twisted reflection of Humanity, Samael lusts for a chance to become human - an event that, should it ever take place, might cause as much damage to Earth as Therakiel's bid for control. Despite his methods, which by Infernal standards are fairly civilian, Pheruel has been commanded to banish Samael by any means necessary to prevent his metamorphosis.
Hero Name: Ogy The Wind Monk
Theme Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60_KXxoIn_w&feature=channel&list=UL
Reason: It is combination of all video game songs I love and fitted well for action packed Elementalist. Ogy is very much the classic hero type. Won't stand down to fighting a villain, is kind, and has allot powers to call upon in his time of need. The theme fits that in the statement "What is a man?" Well Ogy is a man because he won't stand down from doing good.
That song reminds me of Super Smash Bros. tourneys for some reason...
