Cosmic Alert Events

There's always a hue and cry for L33t or Epic or Endgame PvE content.

I agree!

While I think we could sue a few more epic end game encounters like T's Temple I -hope- the CO team is already on that.

Honestly what I think we should have is epic 'alert' style encounters you can go find in the game.

In fact their already there, just not set up like an alert. The darn things are on timers instead.

You know who I mean..

Cosmics

Why these nifty gems aren't 'alert' style thing yet?

Do it like the last part of the Nighthawk mission.

You go to their area, find the monster in question and instead of attacking it [it's neutral and unkillable] you get a prompt to queue for ..

Qwyjibo

Teleiosaurus

Grond

Kigatilik

Megalodon

You could also queue from the PvP/Alert/lair tab I suppose..

Edit-

On more really important thing. These SHOULD NOT be level at anything but 40 [or what ever level cap it is by the time this happens]

It'd be a must for the Cosmic raids to drop top end gear, like they do now.

Here we are now going to the West Side
Weapons in hand as we go for a ride
Some may come and some may stay
Watching out for a sunny day
Where there's love and darkness and my sidearm

In game, I am @EvilTaco. Happily killing purple gang members since May 2008.

    Yes yes yes

This would be easy-ish to implement and some of us would finally see these Cosmics and get a chance to defeat them.

Nothing about that really impedes more content of other sorts. It's not like thy have to create and tune the Bosses, they just need a 'map' for them and to hook up the Alert process.

I'm sure it's some work, but no more than all the recycled existing bosses.

    Also..

I recall there being a winged Cosmic with some really messed up mechanic on the mountain range on Monster Island but he didn't make it to live.

    Anyone recall who/what that was?

If so, maybe he could make a return in this system

The better way to do this is to make some open missions, with timers displayed.

Nah then we'd get people 'fail-locking' these guys without meaning to

I remember that guy... he had a REALLY weird mechanic where to do damage to him cost you resources. But if you WON the fight, apparently you'd get all the resources he'd ever 'collected' in the form of damage taken. I think I actually saw him Live in the first month or so too, because I couldn't go to Monster Island in beta < . .>

    A very very strange creature.

Check out my Champions Online webcomic in progress!

    Annoying people since 2009!

I remember him. I liked him. Giant bird thingy. I did him once with other people. Lost horribly.

Also on the wiki, he has an updated model. That is odd. Because I only remember the feathered version that the second picture shows.

Also Also, he was on Live.

He was a boss that flagged you for PvP and thus free for all. Also the more you attacked him the more money is sapped out of your pocket book.
