Sonic Blaster Maintain

Ok last suggestion...I think I've don't pretty good not having had any since Beta.:biggrin:


I think gadgeteering could use a new energy builder to replace sonic blaster. I don't know what.

I love the concept of sonic blaster, but it always looks odd jumping back and forth between it and whatever else. Especially if you want it on a character that melees(see other thread).

I have always thought Sonic Blaster needed to be a bigger power choice. Especially considering it's really the only good representation of a sonic attack. Sonic Device is too easy to accidentally use up on your energy builder, and most other time's sonic damage shows up is as an added effect for an attack or power that's just "really loud". And Sonic Boom Generator wasn't as fun as I'd hoped...

Blaster though already has an awesome advantage so it can logically do AoE damage. Either remove the knock down, or add a slight chance to disorient. Kick up the damage and make Sonic Blaster a maintained attack.

Gadgeteering has always been the hodgepodge take what you need power set anyway. Give us a lone Sonic Blaster. What do you say?

It just kills me that this power is just a lil' old energy builder.

    Oh right. lol Well then make sonic blaster a full fledged and viable maintained power then!

    I forgot about the boomerang, as a builder it wasn't as fun as I'd imagined. I was thinking about Captain Boomerang or something. You know "throw, catch, repeat". Lovin' Ricochet, but that's not pertinent.

    A sonic aoe Maintain would be great.
    At least Boomerang Ricochet provides us with a good Gadget aoe.

    You are talking about the energy builder right?
    You can set, I think its the auto-fire controls, to "Toggles-Never Cancels" and the
    Blaster will just keep shooting all the time. No need to maintain it.

    Nope. I mean make the power a full fledged and viable attack power, instead of it being an energy builder.

    One that just based upon it's animation and AoE advantage make it perfect for a maintained power.
