Ditto. I did Dethray Demolition on two characters last night. One completed it with no problems, the other did it three times and stopped at the same spot every time.
Can we get a response on this? This is prohibiting us from using your new "feature" where we can use previously created nemesis. It doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.....please don't do another "kitchen sink" patch.
We payed or are paying for this game, we deserve a better support. We deserve someone of the devs sthat read this forum section and REPLY to the issues reported. We deserve a reply to our tickets, when we are able to send it, of course.
When cryptic worked with ncsoft on city of heroes, that kind of "troubles" didn't happen! A ticket was replied till the support achieve to a solution of the issue. I've got tickets unreplied that are 2 months old.

You are scaringly right! Every patch introduces new bugs in parts of the game that previously were perfectly working. So we, the players, are compelled to assist to an endless patch-on-patch to repair their own mystakes.
Still can't turn in the mission. Do you guys even have GMs? I tried to get one in game and it automatically turned my GM request into a bug report. This must be fixed. Seems like it would be a quick fix.
There were literally 10 people standing around Defender when I logged in. Just so you know.
Same quest, but not same problem (Same as secound poster) Completed the mission to the end, went to defender to do end turn in and get
"Unable to resolve mission Deathray Demolition. You may only have one uniqe item, Inventory full"
Bags are empty, quest doesn't give an item reward
Oh and did summit in game as well

I get the same issue with the duplicate unique item part of this. Like everyone else, submitted a GM help request and they sent back a copy/paste bug report response. No help at all and can no longer do nemesis content on my main. Would REALLY be nice to get some kind of resolution or response here.

Come to think of it, I believe I even know what causes this! I remember back in beta there was a bug with Stronghold, where you could get a nonexistent item from the item rewards at the end. A goldname eventually came in and said that this item wasn't supposed to be seen, it's a unique item that is automatically awarded and goes into a special inventory that the game searches to see what civilians will talk to you about. In that case, it was the one to let civilian AI know to praise you for defeating Menton. I recall there is a civilian congratulation for beating your nemesis too. Perhaps the game thinks you shouldn't be able to get the invisible item that triggers that a second time and is preventing you from claiming it and completing the quest.

In addition I am going to have the internal QA group run through the chain and make sure there are no other issues hiding.
The goal is to get a number of issues fixed and verified before pushing the next build out to the Live servers. I am hoping to push another big patch to PTS tonight or early tomorrow.
The team has has been going over the forums and pulling the issues we find from your posts.

also been having this issue. don't know if its related or if this tidbit helps.....as long as I have been getting this unique item issue with defender and the deathray mission.....I get the exact same error message when I try to pick up the Lemurian Idol items. the 3 charge device for the golems. had several drop in a mission the other night and was unable to pick up any of them.

I will look into the issue. It sounds like the unique item issue. Do you know the name of the mission, It will help me track it down a little faster.

Just want to throw my name into the hat of people not being able to turn in the Deathray mission to Defender. He just tells me I can only have one unique item and my inventory is full. Seems to still be broke as of this posting on 02/12/2010.

We are all stuck with no chance to proceed with nemesis story-arc that are one of the 2 only things to do as end-game.

Both myself and were stuck with this bug with repeated attempts glitching at the big fire dude, but when my alt finally reached it his went through without issue. The only difference I could see was that both of the stuck nemesii were maniac's and the one that went through was a mastermind. Testing this out I switched one of the buged ones out of maniac (to savage) and it worked fine. Could just be a cooinkidink but give it a shot and it might work for you

I wanted to give you an update on fix for the Deathray Demolition bug. The issue is fixed on PTS. QA tested it over the weekend and confirmed. I will have to follow-up on the Lemurian Idol to see if the fix applies to both instances and post another update.
The team is working very hard to get the current build on PTS over to LIVE. We talked a lot on Tuesday about pushing the current PTS build. However, we want to have the critter attack speed issue fully resolved first, so things are taking a bit longer.
I know your next question is going to be "If Cryptic can fix it on PTS, why can't we have the fix on LIVE.?" (there may be a few expletives missing from that), so I am going to tell you a bit about how the build process works internally.
When the devs finish a chunk of content, such as for the Winter Event, a Baseline Build is created. For the Winter Event, this was FC.10.20091209.0. A baseline build has all of the data and code changes up until the time that baseline build was created. If a fix needs to happen, the change is merged into the Baseline Build via an incremental. What that means is a new build is created (i.e. FC.10.20091209.1) pulling those specific changes into the previously created baseline. A good example from the Winter Event build was players being capped at Level 15. A dev made the code change needed and it was merged to FC.10.20091209.2.
So why am I explaining all of this? Our current build on LIVE is FC.11.20100106.15. The Baseline for that build was made on 01.06.2010. When programming fixed the issue with Deathray Demolition on 02.01.2010, we did try to add it to the LIVE build. Unfortunately, the change could not be merged into the build because the files needed had changed so dramatically from 01.06.2010 to 02.01.2010. In general, as as more and more changes take place from the point of the original Baseline Build, incrementals become more difficult to merge. Sometimes we can fix the files by hand on the actual builder (i.e. the physical machine), but for this issue it did not work.
If you have any questions, feel free to either ask in the thread or PM me. Hopefully, we can get the build currently on PTS over to LIVE soon. This will make our players and my boss very happy

QA confirmed this is fixed in the build currently on PTS. What did you mean by the 3 charge device for the golems? That does not seem to be part of the mission (I could very well be wrong).
I suspect they are referring to the "unique" crafting items bug. All crafting items with charges only allow you to have one of them (unless you already have a lot of them, then you just can not add more). All drop versions of the same item count as the one unique item for owning purposes and vice versa.

Wow, that is one heck of an explanation. Thanks for the update and lesson on how things are done to fix things on the server. You restore some faith in me about the future of the game.
My question now is how far are you along on the attack speed bug, and do you have an ETA of when this will be pushed live? Seeing as the Nemesis system is my favorite bit of content in CO, I would like to be able to wrap it up and build my next one.
Well, fellas, I think that this is it; following the latest patch, I am now capable of turning in this mission back to Defender. Thanks to whoever managed to fix this bug, and everyone check if everything is fine on your own end.

I'm having the exact same issue. Submitted it in game as well.
I have this issue too. I have a unique item, but how can i close this story arc and proceed with creating another nemesis if i cant close the mission?
