Particle Damage (Radiation) build help

Ok, so I made a Radiation themed hero a while back that used Infernal as her powerset. Initially I wanted her to use Particle damage, but at the time my only options were Gadgeteer guns or Power Armor... Now... those still are my only options, but with Power Bolts as an EB I can work with Power Armor a little more.

So far this is what I have.... I know it's not much to work from... I'd like to avoid having the build feel like a Power Armor even though I'd be using powers from it.

PowerHouse (Link to this build)

Name: Gamma

Archetype: Freeform

Super Stats:
Level 6:
Level 10:
Level 15:

Talents:
Level 1:
Level 6:
Level 9:
Level 12:
Level 15:
Level 18:

Level 38:

Travel Powers:
Level 6: Jet Boots
Level 35:

Specializations:

Now, before certain things are suggested, I would like to point out a few things.
  • First: No I will not replace IDF with Concentration on this character, please do not suggest to.
  • Second: Energy Wave and Support Drones must remain in the build
  • Third: Even though I would love to go End Primary with Wrist Bolters adv. That simply is not an option for me, this is a conceptual build, though I want it to be as practical as possible, and Wrist Bolters are not conceptual to this character. Her attacks are biological not mechanical.

Now that that is out of the way lets get to the areas that I need some help with.
  • First: I have no idea what stats I should take on this build, I havn't played this character since pre-On Alert and her stats were previously End/Rec.
  • Second: Passive... I'm really at quite a loss here... I'd like to avoid using Electric Form for this if at all possible, I'm considering taking Pestilance again simply for the DoT's on attack and PBAoE DoT, though this doesn't benefit my Particle damage any...
  • Third: Just about everything else... I'm aware this build is a bit lacking in every department atm... I really do hope ya'll can provide some improvements for me.

Go back to Infernal, as it looks more like stereotypical "radiation" (think the Irradiates) than the PA stuff. It's also ridiculously good with even a few powers, leaving you room to play while still being very effective.

Keep in mind that damage types in this game are a label, nothing more. The powers that buff that particular label are the only consequence of the label, other than the graphics attached to the powers tagged with that label. If you can at all possible come up with a justification to use something other than Particle damage for Radiation, you'll have a ton more options.

    Second:

I'm not a big fan of the PA powers in general, but it seems like you're going to have trouble with only knock-causing powers as your AoEs.

What other attacks fit into your concept?

Off the top of my head, I'm leaning towards End/Int/Dex as superstats, using MSA with Conviction (it's glowy, your energy blasts are glowy).

What role are you wanting to run this in?

I was planning to run in either Hybrid or Avenger role.

As for the AoEs, yes... I'm not particularly fond of having only knocks for AoEs either... but before I was using Epidimic as my AoE and TBH it felt like i was leaving her concept behind with that power... It may have been that the power felt grungy and dark rather than giving the impression of a wave of radiation...

Infernal only really had the Radiation feel to me on a few select powers (Infernal Bolts, Infernal Blast, Defile, Condemn)

We could replace Chest beam with an AoE from another set... not really sure what though...

Some attacks that might fit your theme, depending on your interpretation:

    -Crushing Wave
    -TK wave
    -Ego Choke
    -Force Eruption

Tinted green Crushing Wave/TK wave look like ripples of radioactive energy. Same for Force Eruption, especially with the advantage. Ego Choke has your victim coughing and doubled over, a victim from radiation sickness?

They're not the most powerful attacks, but hopefully provide the look you're going for.

Wind, Fire, Ice, Force, Mentalist (Sprites, Wave, Storm, Eruption, Blades), Celestial (Conduit) and Sorcery (Skarn's Bane) might be able to pass as radiation with appropriate colouring.

Fiery Form with Defile and Condemn, colored appropriately?

I am intent on working with particle damage, I'm not opposed to powers from other sets, but I would honestly prefer to keep it within particle damage... I'm more open to adding Force powers than powers from other sets however.
