How to make regen good

Regen is so weak against builds that one shot. I think regen should work as damage is incoming. Not just make a heal that ticks every sec make a heal that ticks every .5 seconds and also burst healing on attacks made against you. In the comics regen heal very rapidly in this game it doesn't. Also heal de UFC resistance should be added. Regen should be a dominate power so devs for the sake of pvp. Please just look at it ATM picking regen is lol for pvp. If anything should be the strongest passive o r at least one of them. I just want to be able to use regen and kick but don't want other stuff to get nerfd but maybe buff those that aren't as good.

A bit of damage mitigation would help a lot, imo. Scar tissue, or something. Resurgence really helps against those heavy alphas, tho. As does conviction, because of the temp hp boost it gives until you're hit. Regen already ramps up effectiveness the lower your life is. It really only becomes a major concern in pvp, I've noticed. I've seen regen tanks tank Gravitar.

Yes. Regen provides 10%/20%/30% resistance, (based on rank), but that resistance goes down as your health gets lower.

I would like to see regen have its tics improved from every 3 seconds to every 2 seconds, and to get innate resistance to healing debuffs.

Ah cool so that resistance should help with spike damage which is what the OP was on about?

as to changing the tick from 3 seconds to 2 seconds I would imagine a change like that would require a decrease in the heal per tick value to keep things balanced if that was the case I would prefer the tick time was even lower say maybe 1 second or .5 seconds

so instead of getting 300hp every 3 seconds you would be getting 100hp every second or 50hp every half second.

As in my mind regen should be a almost constant thing

    Whoa, that's new.

Also, agreed 100% on all counts.

This topic seems to suffer from short-term memory loss...

    Let's recap, shall we:

When it first came out, I seem to recall hearing (numerous times) that it was majorly overpowered. So Cryptic nerfed it, too much. In truth, it kind of became a uselessly weak passive for a loooong time (i.e.: nobody would bother using it given an open choice). Until recently. Recently it got a few buffs and it's back in the game with the other passives. And a great thing to see at that.

And now, the forums are asking for another buff so soon?

And why exactly? So you can survive any alpha strike without blocking or some other defensive mechanism?!

Pardon me but no thanks, I'm not convinced this is necessary. Y'all are hoing to have to do a lot more reasoning to show why this is needed if you want to persuade me to agree. Thus far, I'm not convinced and would say leave it alone, it's fine "as is".

Heck even Silverspar doesn't seem convinced an additional buff is needed, and she'd be one who'd directly benefit from a buff to her character's passive.

    Make sense?

FYI: You're not supposed to survive EVERYTHING just standing there lol! Godmode is boring people, mmk? Got to have a few things that can pose a threat to you, even if you can compensate with skill & tactical combos. Food for thought...

Ever since the adjustment to Regen and the ability to stack defenses through Specializations, I find that regen is actually a godly soloing passive. It's the ultimate soloing passive. You have some damage resistance stacked on top of natural heals that are strong enough that you really don't need any other healing abilities to function well on your own. Even against 3-4 person groups, my regen character does well as long as she holds up her block when she needs to.

The only trouble I really have is when I have to tank 10-12 'tough' enemies at a time and are getting blasted by chest beams left and right. I'd rank Regen as the best soloing passive in the game, but as a group tanking passive it's okay. It works if you don't overexert yourself.

Unbreakable helps a lot I find. Flipping that up buys your regen 5 ticks of healing which should have you near full by the time Unbreakable wears off. Masterful Reflexes is actually even better since it's a stronger counter to burst attacks, but I have a weird bond with Unbreakable. But I don't think regen needs a buff at all.

Regen is a great defensive passive, but I believe it needs a small tweak: make the damage resistance constant. It gets rather hard to tank when your 30% resistance suddenly becomes a 5% resistance because of a strong attack.
