Does anyone else have trouble keeping Compassion stacks going when they don't have Sentinel Aura, Medical Nanites, or Seraphim? If not, what are you using to keep your Compassions stacks at maximum?
Dasher@Tool-box, donning his armor to prance into battle and blitz the enemy! No joke!
Cupid@Tool-box, stunningly radiant stag ready to play matchmaker between villain and arrow!
Vixon@Tool-box, frighteningly eager to summon despair for his adversaries!
Jebin Zedalu@Tool-box, elementalist weaponmaster. ...One of these things is not like the others!
As an addendum, how much more difficult is maintaining Compassion when you're also throwing around Protection Field?

The very annoying thing about compassion, is that you need to regularly attack, or be attacked, for it to build stacks. So if you are very busy healing people in the gravitar alert, you are likely to lose stacks.
The second thing that really annoys me is that it actually works on self heals (contrary to the description), this makes healer tanks very easy to build. Keeping up stacks is actually easier for tanks, since they would attack anyway. During the 'on alert' patch heal bonus was shifted from presence to roles to avoid just that. Now we see devour essence/compassion builds trivialising gravitar or any other 'hard' content.
Dark Transfusion can be handy to help maintain Compassion stacks, since it self damages the user. Make sure that you hp is sufficient to deal with this, since it also impairs your self healing, apart from adv/ Summon Shadows, Lifedrain and Devour Essence.
Pre spec has Selfless Ally, which heals you for 10% of any heal you give to an ally. Iniquity damages yourself regardless of whether you actually heal anyone with it or not, guaranteeing that you will benefit from the heal of Selfless Ally. I haven't actually tested if this works with Compassion though; it was just a thought.

AHA!! Perfect! My character currently uses Dexterity as its primary and Presence as a secondary, but I might be able to switch that up. I'll test and see if Iniquity still sends healing back my way when it doesn't heal an ally. If not, I'll stick with Dexterity, but Iniquity should still be super useful for that! I hadn't considered its self-damaging property in that regard.
I'd tried Dark Transfusion before, but for some reason, the amount of damage it did was too low or something, and healing myself didn't give any Compassion. XD Plus the healing-received debuff... Ouch.
