I was kind of hoping for an LTS sale. Oh well...

Who needs a LTS when the price of a sub is dropping to $10 a month?

Also, make sure your credit card info is accurate and long lasting, as this promotional price will last until you have to make changes to your account for whatever reason.

If I were to color my newly acquired free-form *silver* archetype's powers, would said power coloration be retained after my gold status lapses?

Are you sure this is the case? It seems to me as though it were a promotional and limited time offer. If not, I know some people who may be extremely interested in this promotion.

I know this is an unpopular opinion with you Trailturtle.
But i still believe that continued "cross-posting" (Creating Duplicate Threads) of OFFICIAL Cryptic posts is not a good idea.
    .
    It:
    • Splits up threads, dividing (what's left of) the forum base into less cohesive discussions.
    • Divides attention from OFFICIAL Cryptic important announcements (JUST like this one).
    • Creates a "Another Cryptic Crosspost. They must be getting desperate!" atmosphere.
    .
(I would go on, but i think i made my point by my complete lack of any use of "smiles"...)
    .
...I'd like to go on record as being against this continuing trend in the future.
    .
    Thanks,
    'Caine

Were there any specific reason for that personal attack other than that your opinion differs from mine?

Haha, I think in another thread people just told TT to cross post everything.

Anyhow, is this discount for the first 3-month cycle or the first and every cycle thereafter?

On the other hand, there have been complaints previously when something was posted in the Super News Network forum, from people who say they never look for anything there so they missed out, and complaints when something was posted in this forum but not there, from people saying, "Isn't this supposed to be in the Super News Network? Even Cryptic can't do what they say to do!"

In short, they can't win for losing here.

Sure they can, just set some guidelines and follow them...

I still wonder why so many people not simply use the "Today's Post" function

I still have the '3-Month Recurring Gold - Limited Time Offer' on my billing, like more than a year since they last offered it. And I've made sure with my credit card bill, too - I've only been charged $30 every 3 months now.

It's limited time to sign up for it. They can't remove it from your account without your permission. At least they didn't do so before.

Isn't it usually "discounted" already? Like every other MMO? 33% off would imply the normal price is $45, but it's probably more like $36-40 right? I've never even considered a 3 month sub though so I don't remember.

If memory serves, Cryptic knocks off a buck usually going from 1 month to 3. So instead of $14.99 a month, it's $13.99. Right now, it's $10, so it's a steal in my eyes. Keep in mind that you get $5 a month in stipend as well.

I used the 3 month discount before i went LT. Only way to roll. The 3 month sub if you're subbing that is.

If my monthly sub just charged 13 days ago but I'm interested in this deal, how does it work? >.> Would I have to wait until my sub is up or could I sub under this and it would charge the 30 at the end of the period? Or would it charge up front?

I say stuff and I say things, sometimes together but only when I'm feeling adventurous.

    I'm @blu8 in game! :D

Actually they did do so before. Before the game went f2p, they occasionally offered this discount. The last time I re-upped (a couple years ago), when the deal ended the subscribers were informed by email that they would be transitioning to the regular price for 3-month prepay unless the subscriber chose to change plans or discontinue payment. I chose to discontinue, because I didn't think it was worth $14.99 a month and the other prepay plans didn't offer any discount over regular price.

Your mileage may be varying because you subbed after the game went f2p. I can see them wanting to retain as many subs as possible now, but in the early days Cryptic made a lot of questionable CS decisions.

I would like to take advantage of this trailturtle. I already have a 1 month recurring subscription(and have had since about November) and the latest payment went through a couple of days ago.

    However, before I change my subscription from 1 months recurring to 3 months recurring there a couple of things I, and I'm sure some other people need to know;

    1. As I paid my latest subscription only a couple of days ago, if I change will the system wait until the end of this latest subscription to charge me the 3 month one. I hope this is the case as I don't want to pay for a new one with nearly a month left on the old one.

    2. if the answer is yes to the first question(as it should be), then how do I know that in nearly one month there will still be a discount on the 3 month subscription. All we know is that it is for a "limited time". We have no idea how long this time will last.

I look forward to your response trailturtle and thank you for all the communication recently. I, and many others, appreciate it greatly.

Hrm. I actually don't know the answer to this either -- anyone from the community know? My guess is that the coloration would be wiped, but that's just a hypothesis.

I believe mine did keep their coloration - will verify when the server comes back up.

Confirmed. Silver FF retain the power hue that was set while Gold.
