Hello Community,

looking for a good build for a healer toon. The build should contain a pet if possible (perhaps a wolf or something) and some surviveability for soloing...

Hope there is a Link someone can post,

or some of you build pros can make a custom build for me.

Tanks in advance

First place I would look is here...

If not I'm sure someone can build a really good one.

This is a high level retcon build. If you want a leveling build, this won't work as its attacks come late in the build. I use this build to both heal and solo. I put the slotted passive and its advantages at the end so I can retcon it whether I'm doing solo or team based stuff. I use AoRP for teaming and Seraphim for solo. Although you can solo with AoRP I find that Seraphim's offense boost stands me in better stead with soloing than AoRP's defense.

I gear for crit chance, dodge and avoidance as well as stats.

    Thanks for the Link sloewcsl4pwe.

And thanks for that interessing build haleakala.
Its just not really my type of char.

I tought about a little more support and healing abilitys and perhaps a build that I can level with, because I dont have a LV 40 char for retcon.

Is there a chance you or someone else gives it a try?

    Thanks in Advance.

What kind of character do you have in mind? Since you want a wolf summon are you going more for a mystical/druid theme? Or were you thinking more towards celestial wolves? Or mind controlled wolves? Those are the three main powersets for healers (Radiant Sorcery, Celestial and Telepathy)

Also, what kind of survivability are you looking for? Just the basic HP from superstatting Con? Double bubbles? Or a bit more, like using a defensive passive or IDF? Or did you mean a squishy character that can hide behind tactical advantages like long range, CCs and stealth?

And how are you planning to level? Are you going to spam group content like XP alerts, or do more solo questing?

For skills, a dedicated healer should pack the following:
    1. A single target heal
    2. A group heal
    3. A rez
    4. Compassion
    5. A support passive
    6. A stealth or aggro dump (can't rez if you have aggro)
    7. A bubble or two (optional)

That's 7 skills. Add the following:
    1. An Energy Builder
    2. An Active Offense
    3. An Active Defense
    4. A single target attack (unless your heal is Rebuke, since it doubles as an attack)
    5. An AoE attack
    6. Your Wolf summon
    7. A Block

That's 12 skills if you use Rebuke, 13 if you don't. Then add the additional bubbles if you want. Or take an energy return if you plan to run in Hybrid mode when soloing. Fill up the remaining slots with whatever and that's pretty much a full build there.

Good posts above. I am playing with support builds on a few characters myself right now. Aggro caused by Sentinel Aura is brutal. I would definitely invest in an aggro reducer if you have SA unless you are very durable.

Right now I am comparing Aura of Radiant Protection plus Inertial Dampening Field against Medical Nanites plus Compassion and so far it has been a close race. Both combinations really make healing easier as the whole team is much more durable.

Similar to a few (endurance expensive) attacks that are good for both single target and area damage (such as Avalanche and Lightning Storm), I am playing around with a few heals that can both area and single target heal so I can free up room for more buffs. I have found Vala's light and Celestial Conduit (when used with Illumination) to be pretty good for both single target and area healing.

One of my healers uses multiple pets while my another only runs a healing pet. Having multiple pets out really reduces the energy you have for heals and attacks but the heal pets (Support Drones or the Radiant Summoning) seem do good work.

    I'm like Dr. Silverback.

There are three types of support in CO; heals, damage mitigation and Crowd Control (CC). It is fairly easy to build for two of these (heal, mitigation) and not so easy to do the other (CC). Since the build I posted has healing and mitigation, and is not your type, is that because it is not a leveling build or because you mean CC when you say support?

I thought about a healer/survivor with an celestial background.

Starting with the healing/energybuilder Radiance and Rebuke. And using mostly the AoRP and compassion to start with. Just selected vengeance... My selected superstats are PRE, INT and EGO.

    So... how to continue?

Thought of Pillar of POZ instead of Vengeance?!

Honestly, if you're not retconning a 40 or high level toon, I would recommend you avoid your healer spec for a while if you plan on leveling a ton. Solo wise, support builds can be very painful to level, and even more so for someone like me who prefers damage oriented builds.

If you're lookin for survival oriented builds, taking a look at solid performing pvp healers can really help for inspiration as they have to deal with fights harder than anything pve can offer. Simply adjust as needed for pve use.

    Sentry: Precise (3/3)
    Sentry: Sentry Aura (3/3)
    Sentry: Persevere (2/2)
    Mastery: Presence Mastery (1/1)

This is not a leveling build, but a respec build.

Build is a ridiculous healer, and ridiculously defensive. Offense is not that great, but good enough for soloing without wanting to /wrists. Generally I just gather up 10-30 mobs, and skarns bane them down all at once to make things go faster, rinse and repeat.

I'd recommend taking at least 40-50 Rec and End on gear to ensure you don't have energy problems, and to allow you to do a full maintain of Skarn's. The build uses very little energy, so 40-50 of each End and Rec is more than sufficient.

Note that the health drain of iniquity is nearly completely offset by the spec: Selfless Ally. It's a free heal. You'll heal 100' range, tapping insta-heals for 2200+ health (2 seconds or so to heal 10k) at zero energy cost. Because you dont have an AoE heal Sentinal Aura comes in handy for keeping everyone topped up. Spamming Iniquity around is more than sufficient for healing up the rest of the group damage.

Defensively if you get massive agro, the kind that would slaughter most dps in a heartbeat, just turtle behind ebon void, and drop your block every so often for iniquity or conviction taps. You basically become a tank even while still healing any teammates who need it. Once you have stacked up some ebon void stacks, you should be safe to come out from the turtle.

Meanwhile you are tapping conviction for 3k health every 5 seconds, and BCR is ticking for 700 per 2 seconds, sentinal aura is ticking, and your shadows are bringing in health, and you are receiving health back when the mobs hit you... You also have a 4200 bubble... And in a real pinch, unbreakable. Who needs AoRP? You have plenty of survivability.

Pallate is in your arsenal for when you are tired of playing yo-yo with a DPS' health. Put this on the the DPS, and the mobs will probably come right to you. Which is fine, because you can tank those mobs usually far easier than the DPS can.

Your health buffer is very important to this character. Make sure you take plenty of Con on gear, because while you can survive almost everything, you have to know it's coming first (you need time to block and stack ebon void defenses). I would say anything over 7k health is quite comfortable.

If you do die, you have rebirth. This makes the build very forgiving. You can make plenty of mistakes while playing.

Presence does not have to be all that high. I balanced out my Con, Int and Pre stats. The main purpose of choosing Pre as the primary superstat is to get the Selfless Ally spec, nothing more.

Also, I'd recommend avoidance for your Silver Champion primary defense, with a gambler's lucky gem for dodge. This will add a lot to your survivability when not blocking. Try to stack some cost-reduction gear also, it will help quite a bit.

This build has some crit in the specialization tree for lack of better things to choose, but it's not a crit build. Offensive cores on gear should be +%healing, or +offense if you want to lean that way, not +crit. It's true that you can get a lot of power out of a crit healing build, but it's uneeded overkill with iniquity and seraphim, so I leaned more towards defense.

The way this build stands, if you know they are dying, you can save them. Period. The only kind of damage that will outdamage your heals, is the kind of damage that kills them so fast you can't even target them first. This is not an exaggeration.

It looks funny on paper. But try it out. It's amazing.

This PvE only build is my current character. Feel free to change the energy builder and attacks to whatever suits your character. I chose melee attacks so I would be near the teammates who need my support the most.

It's so durable (I'm currently level 29), that I have been tanking alerts with it and by the end game (when you will be grouping the most) it will be capable of being the main support in instances. Let your first two wolves (command animals) tank for you until 17 when you get AoRP.

Speaking of wolves, you wanted one? How about 4 of them? Energy can get a little tight so make sure you take an energy unlock power. The wolves will be affected by all of your auras, so they are each like mini-tanks.

When tanking in hybrid role, AoRP is above 75% right now and I am told it will break 100% eventually. I don't have bulwark yet (aggro increase when in hybrid role from the protector tree) but sentinel aura, challenging strikes, and crippling challenge keep everything on me tightly already. Vala's light is proving to be better than an active defense as it keeps everyone around me healed and with rejuvenated it actually helps my energy.

For end game support, I have AoRP, IDF (together these two powers make everyone feel like they have a defensive passive), sentinel aura (I'm getting upwards of 100/ tick right now), illumination (cast it on bosses and everyone heals while attacking), Vala's light (heals an area for about 2k right now), and redemption (a rez).

I hope this helps you a bit.

    ---

Superstats: CON (primary), PRE and REC (secondary)

    1) Bestial Fury
    1) Frenzy: Challenging Strikes (I dumped the starter power)
    6) Pounce: Crippling Challenge
    8) Command Animals
    11) Supernatural Power
    14) Massacre
    17) Aura of Radiant Protection
    20) Arctic Beast
    23) Ritual of Radiant Summoning: Unbound Ritual
    26) Inertial Dampening Field
    29) Vala's Light: Light Everlasting
    32) Illumination
    35) Parry
    38) Redemption

    Specializations:
    Constitution: Unyielding (2), Tough (3), Quick Healing (3), Armored (2), Mastery (1)
Sentinel: Caregiver (3), Sentinel Aura (3), Rejuvenated (2/3), Genesis (2)
Protector: Fortified Gear (3), Unrelenting (2), Bulwark (2), Resolute (3)

Gear: Add just enough STR to reach the soft cap of 70 (or EGO if you go with a ranged build) and just enough END to keep it above your equilibrium.

I assume you mean Ritual of Primal Summoning, and not ritual of Radiant Summoning. This looks like a really neat build, I think I'm going to try it out for Group Night! Thanks!

Also, what Talents do you Recommend? Feral or Savage to begin with, I assume?

Yah but I like the build as well. My question is what other power set could you use besides Bestial? I like the 4 wolves idea but not feeling like being a werewolf running with a pack, (although very cool!)

Wut you want to do with your healer toon? It all depends on that.

If you wanna do summoner, forget bout Healer. Just tke care about your self heal. :3
