Subscription Question

Hello I have a question about the subscription.... If I subscribed to Champions Online and received the 8 character slots and then my subscription ran out would my 8 character slots go back down to 2 or stay the 8 slots?

    If you made 8 characters, they''ll all sit there saying "Gold", and you won't be able to play them as a Silver. You will have two slots available, although they would have Gold characters in them that you'd have to convert to Silver first. (You can also convert your other characters, but unless you want them to be ATs that you already own, you might not want to do that...)

    Ok so if i converted them back to silver would they stay the same or would i have to change the AT to a silver one?

    You'd have to convert them to an AT you own or have access to

    I have a question too,If you go gold and get the premium Travel powers and put them on a character which u convert to an AT such as the specialist will the TP still be on the toon and will he still have the premium AT?

    Since you have to buy a premium, regardless of gold or silver, it will still be there.
    Champions Online player since September of 2008, forumite since February of 2008.

    I'm pretty sure, if you have to convert AT you start from scratch, therefore removing all powers, including the TP, so if you bought the TP, you'll still have access, if it was just free from being gold, you'll lose it


    Also, why is it those other games there get to have different premium currency that isn't zen? i see silver/gold jaden silver/jaden e-cent -e-buck etc.. This just seems like the most pointless thing ever

    Nope. Premium ATs are free-for-gold, available for purchase if you are silver.

    So if you make an Inventor, then go silver, you cannot keep playing that inventor until either you go gold again, or buy the AT Inventor.

    Same as travel powers. Let's say you make a The Mind AT, put "fire flight" in it. As soon as your sub expires, you will be prompted to change that Travel Power. Unless you buy it.

    Yea. Here is the thing.

    If you think that subbing for a single month will somehow allow you to trick the system into getting something for free. It simply wont happen.

    The sub is just a rental (its a good deal if you want all the goodies and want a lot of alts) But a rental it will always be. Anything you didn't expressly pay for before the sub, you wont get to keep after the sub.

    Exactly what I said in Zone, like a year ago. People just don't see it as a rental, until they run out of time, and see all the good perks gone 9_9

    Seems you dont want to sub ..fair enough your life choice...drop $40 bucks in get a FF slot u'll have 2 AT's and one FF you dont really need more toons than that .

    After you do that you will have most of what the game has to offer and you dont need to worry about subs running out.
