so..uh...Cryptic..or PWE.....I have to..pay...to convert to free? like..isnt that self defeating?
if I wanted to pay...i'd frakking sub to the game. -_-
Q: I canceled my Champions Online subscription, but I'm interested in becoming a Silver Player. Will I have the same access to the game as I did previously?
Your heroes are still available, but they may not use Gold features. To play them as a Silver Player, you will need to convert them before playing.
Hmmm... I think I know whats going on (correct me if I am mistaken). As gold you only get 1 free retrain token per character. So I am assuming you were silver, then converted your ATs to freeforms right?? at that point you used your free token.
If you go silver AT -> gold AT, you can do that process indefinitely AKA silver AT -> gold AT -> silver AT -> gold AT bla bla bla
Though if you change your char from AT to freeform, or viceversa, that can be done only once.

if youve already converted them one before, no , you will need to buy a retrain token, also be aware however, if you delete the character, you will also lose the character slot should you remain silver.
Hmm - I've converted both ways, and never had that come up. Are you converting someone who has an AT? If so, do you have the option of keeping the same AT? Because the only thing I can think of that would cause this, would be if you were converting a Gold AT which is already available to you as a Silver, and were trying to convert it to another AT.
If this is not the case, best I can suggest is to file a ticket - I hear tell they start taking care of those these days, although it might take a couple of days before they get back to you.

There's a whole thread on this in f2p q&A.
If it's prompting you to pay, that's probably why. If it's failing to convert at all, well, that would have to require support.

You should read the F.A.Q's.

No idea what it asks you to do since I can't see your attachement since i'm at work and my firewall here seems to block it.

Just fill out some surveys, watch some videos, etc. That way you should earn enough zen for your retrain tokens.
