The Interface of Champions Online is very pragmatic.
There are not much effects and its very "classic mmo" like.

I think a more immersive Hud would be much better for CO.
You dont need to see always your Items and especially Champions Online with his very action oriented combat system could feel more actionful with the right interface.
CO is all about creating your own hero. So i think a more colour neutral interface would create a better experience with all different Heroes.

I used the last hour to create an interface i would like to see.

Also here is an image of "my" menu. Please consider that I created this very quickly.

I would love more visual feedback during a fight. The personal force field is a good start to explain what i mean.

Imagine everytime you dodge an attack you would see a little yellow effect that shows how much HP you saved. Picture

Or you could see the time it needs until your next regeneration healing arrives and the strong of the healing. picture

Also there could be a effect everytime you flattened incoming damage with invulnerability and defiance. picture

Of course this would be much work for Cryptic to do and i think it would not bring so much money like a new "become device" but it would improve the first game look and much new players are judging games on the first minutes.

    At first I was a bit skeptical when you said you created an interface design... but WOW! That would be a great interface to have.

    Let's not give them more ideas how to break the game more....

    Cool. Not sure about the map in the bottom corner or not.

    Personally i might like a more comic-book panelling interface. It'd be nice if we had a range of options.

    How about a little Colour? You could use the same colours like your heroes costume have.

    How about visuals that depends on your passive?
    electricity/fire/earth

    I would love to do the work for cryptic: create all the needed JPGs/PNGs and Gifs.
    They would just have to get them ingame ... but like i said: i think a new interface will not happen because it would bring no visible money like devices. :(

    While I do like your interface design, I will point out the obvious here; It's too big with too much frills on it. I don't think you need to drastically redesign icons just to get a minimalistic, more ergonomically designed UI. Not to mention I am not a fan of the blurriness you put into it.

    Don't get me wrong, it looks nice and such, but it really eats up unnecessary amounts of screen real estate, and it needs to be a bit more clear.

    I like your redesign. I think it would look better with the "smooth and wet" rather than "ethereal and blurry" you have now, but otherwise it looks a lot less busy than the current interface, which is a positive. I would tone down the blurred edges and make more solidly outlined transparent bars for health and energy. The haze at the bottom is alright,, since it contrast the letters. and makes them pop.

    Oh, and instead of a small grey button, a gold gear would make a better indicator for the pop out inventory

    The interface redesign is a good idea,it could be customized to look like,say Techy for the tech superheroes,which I imagine would look something like the redesign in the pic,or for arms it could be somewhat of a military time style to it,like the map having a radar effect on it.

    Changing the interface's not a bad idea, if we get the opportunity to download various variants of custom skins.
